Friday, September 1, 2006 Peoples. We see that many children and young adults with Down's Syndrome look very much alike. It is as if they are a special breed of very special people. They are instinctively kind and generous. They have an enviable enjoyment of life and are identifiable by distinctive features. Many groups look alike. Often, but not always, you can tell if a person leans to the left by their appearance. Over time, many of us notice some common denominators. One of the sincerest leftists is Joan Claybrook. She looks like thousands of other professional, dedicated liberals; heavy-jawed, implacable improvers of us and our world. Joan comes from some area in the gene pool that's not far from Al Gore. Ponderous, all-knowing, rhinoceros-like in their sanctimonious rants. It is too bad that Al and Joan, in the blue overalls of the people, can't sing a duet that would include: Pinko Ditty The world is wrong and we are right We know because we're very bright On top of that, we care. We care. We are a people set apart. We're smart. We're smart, we're smart, we're smart, We are so smart. We're smart. We are smart and we are bright And we are always, always right. Do what we say. Because we care. And, we are smart. When you listen to liberals and leftists, no matter what the words are, that is the song they are singing. That is the speech they are making. Those are the thoughts in their minds. They look alike. Talk alike. They think alike. Their vanity often drives them into atheism, not because they don't believe in God, but because it's hard for them to imagine a being more intelligent than they. So, they are all alike, unable to be what they think they are, but driven to be angry, unhappy, and complaining endlessly about their betters. Love them. Pray for them. They are a different breed. They are lost. Their beliefs have turned their minds into quagmires of irrational thought that conclude in the dangerous delusion that they are vastly more intelligent than they are.

The best thing about Iraq is that we have learned a lot about the kind of people who broadcast news. We sense joy from many professional newscasters when American troops are killed. We sense impending doom when American troops make gains on the ground. It's part of a pattern. The other side thinks news is good when those closer to God do something bad or something bad happens to them. When a priest, minister, or rabbi, for instance, is accused of wrongdoing, the news spreads with blinding speed from local to national news. When a public school teacher does the same thing, news is limited, unless she's remarkably photogenic or gets teen-age lover(s) to murder a spouse. When Israelis are accused of blowing up a Red Cross ambulance, outrage comes from every network. When a Red Cross ambulance is blown up in Darfur, by Islamists, there is no news. When minorities rape a Caucasian girl, little, if any news is allowed to be broadcast. If utterly fabricated happenings (Twana Brawley, Duke Lacrosse Team) involve sexual misconduct involving white men against minority women, lots of news. If Wal-Mart opens a store in a minority neighborhood and supplies 300 jobs, bad news. If a business in that same area is driven out by excessive taxation/regulation, losing 300 jobs, no news. It's never news when Castro murders and tortures political prisoners. If, a few miles away, vastly better-treated prisoners in air-conditioned cells allege maltreatment, why, the news is full of it. If extremists crash American airplanes full of American citizens into American buildings full of Americans, news about it quickly disappears. Excuses are made for those responsible. If Americans carry the battle directly or indirectly toward those responsible for the disaster, the news is overwhelmingly bad. Why? There is something in the liberal breed that hates both truth and improvement. The same person who will worry mightily about the ozone hole will not concern himself about the failures and waste in public education. Oddly, this sad breed who strains out gnats and swallows camels is trapped in a strange perversion of Christianity. Their faith has two demands: one, that everyone but them turn the other cheek; two, that their priorities are the only important ones. In short, liberals think that they are God. It is that profound violation of the First Commandment that allows them to ignore as many of the other Nine as they want.
Wednesday, September 6, 2006 Truth. Catholic Fundamentalists believe that the Roman Catholic Church is pure, total truth. As distance from Her increases, so does error. There is also error within The Church. One of the great tests of our faith is to be faithful while knowing that many of the clergy are in varying degrees of heresy. No one really seems to know what it means to be an Episcopalian in heresy. There seems to be an Episcopalian group attracted to every apostasy. Ditto with many of the liberal Protestant denominations. Baptists are more faithful to their denomination, and will start a new division within their denomination when they feel it necessary. But, an heretical Catholic is obvious. The Church's teachings are so consistent, and so at odds with the world that deviance from those teachings is quickly noted, and applauded, by the most worldly. Scripture is very clear on the subject that sin comes from inside us. (Mark, 21-23: “From within people, from their hearts,
How did sin first get into us? Sin got into our first parents because they intentionally put it there. The forbidden fruit was the original sin, pride in three dimensions and many forms. It gave birth to all further desire to sin. Sins well up out of us much more when The Church seems weak. When The Church is strong, sin is driven underground. Then, society prospers. From prosperity comes conceit, from conceit comes vanity, and from vanity, a resurgence of sin. We can all see the relationship between strong Church and good society, weak Church and destructive society. Today, sin and death are strong, and the Church seems weak. Tomorrow, it will be reversed. We help to reverse it in two ways. First, by exploring Catholic Fundamentalism, and seeing that the false parts of science are houses built on sand. As we deepen our understanding of God's ability to program particles, He becomes more real, as do His Church and Scripture. At the same time, we remember that each thought, word, and deed that opposes a Commandment is a sin. Each sin separates us from God. The only source of a truth that can save us is a faith that recognizes the cause of sin. The first, and oldest, Church has been given a cure for our past sins and a sort of inoculation, or resistance, to future sins. Her Sacraments bring us closer to God, closer to truth, and give us the best reason to go on, our souls as shimmering bubbles brightening the Stygian gloom. P.S. Sin was physically present in the eaten apple, and it changed the human program, separating it from God. For the thousands of years between Adam and Jesus Christ, it took a series of miracles to get, and keep, even a few people in line with God. The prophets received such miracles, as did many of Abraham's children. When Christ came, He provided the perfect food, His Body and Blood, at the Last Supper. Ingesting The Holy Eucharist cancels out the effect of our first parents' eating the apple.
Thursday, September 7, 2006 "Ka-ching!", or not. Snakes work very, very hard to shed their skin. It's just as hard for us to get rid of constraining ideas and notions about the world. The other side invests trillions of dollars world-wide to separate people from God and from life. Can any of us imagine the decibel rating of the "ka-ching!" that it takes to buy a billionaire's soul? Catholic Fundamentalism, with one sentence, "God can program particles, compile them into structures and beings, and put them into motion." offers an invalidation of every God-minimizing teaching that the forces of death and slavery have ever taught. Study and thought make that umbrella-sentence increase in size so that we see all Creation fitting under it. The fact is that all Creation does fit beneath it. Though this thought comes from, and is important to, Catholic Fundamentalism, any religion can say that about any God. Fundamentalism, by itself, does not make ultimate sense without the Roman Catholic Church. St. Thomas Aquinas taught that there are two sources of knowledge, intellect and Scripture. Scripture is the most important, and the writings that compile it were selected by the collective mind of The Roman Catholic Church in council. Therefore, only the Roman Catholic Church has brought human intellect and Divine Scripture together. Only the Roman Catholic Church could hold minds like those possessed by Augustine, Aquinas, Ockham, and all the other great minds who freely knelt before the majesty of The Church. There is no "ka-ching!" when any human being moves closer to The Roman Catholic Church. There are vows of poverty underlying it, so there can no financial rewards. There is something more. Godspeed, pilgrim.
Friday, September 8, 2006 Your job today, should you decide to accept it. . . . . There is an old Catholic doctrine called "Invincible Ignorance". It reflects God's desire that someone who had never heard of Jesus Christ, and did not try to avoid hearing about Him, could get to Heaven if he had led a good and upright life. A few plan to use Invincible Ignorance in their own defense at Judgment Day: "I had heard of Jesus Christ, and heard about Him, but the evidence of evolution and all the humanist teachings that I have been brain-washed with have kept me from seeing how real He is. Though I am not literally protected by Invincible Ignorance, since I have heard of Jesus Christ, Invincible Ignorance is actually why I behaved the way I did." Catholic Fundamentalists can remove that argument in a couple of sentences. "God has the ability to program actual objects, structures, and beings. He programmed an actual universe in a week, and programmed the first human being in a day. That God sent prophets, and, finally, His own Son, to help you save your soul. You can choose to believe in a God that powerful, or reject that idea." Then, the Invincible Ignorance argument can't be used. They have heard The Word, and a reason to take it seriously. After that, they can only save themselves by actual belief and subsequent obedience. That will make the world a better place. Get busy.
Monday, September 11, 2006 September 11, 1683 By this date, less than a hundred years before the United States' Declaration of Independence, Ottoman Moslems invaded deep into Europe. They advanced to the city of Vienna, which they besieged. They were driven back on September 11, 1683. Most of Europe was too cowardly to help the Viennese. Only the Poles and the Austrians fought, and were victorious. The Moslem advance was halted, and turned away. The date of the Moslem attack on the United States was carefully timed to show that the once retreating Moslems were now advancing. In response, the United States invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. They did not try to convert the inhabitants to other religions. The Americans and their allies were, and are, successful at keeping as many Moslems from killing each other. America's goal was not to convert or to kill, but to install a government like Turkey's. It would pretend to be democratic, but would actually be dominated by a higher, bureaucratic order of Afghans and Iraqis. Just as Turkey's government can barely keep its own extremists under control, neither the Afghans nor the Iraqis will ever have that ability. One constant of Mohammedanism is that it guarantees there will always be a group of fundamentalist fanatics, ready to kill and die to protect their particular version of their faith from excessive government. So, our policy is doomed to long-term failure. The only thing that can help them is to start loving their neighbors. Only the Catholic Church can help them find a religion based on loving, rather than hating, their neighbors. And, even the Catholic Church doesn't bother, any more. Not likely that anyone else will.

Columns last month investigated the comparative IQ of various religious groups and concluded that the most violent people tended to have the least ability to get along wisely with others. Lack of ability in one area often indicates a lack of ability in others. People who can't do much of anything are sometimes referred to as "dumb". Hatred paralyzes the mind. Hatred dumbs down those who give into it. Words reflect reality. Catholic Fundamentalists think that hate-filled, murdering extremists do not like anyone smarter than they, so they kill them. Their countries eliminate their most intelligent people, sometimes by exporting them or, more often, by doing away with them. The gene pool of a polygamous society must grow ever more uniform over time. At the same time, the smartest people move away or are moved away, causing further decline in intellectual ability. The killing of opportunity and freedom destroys more thinking ability. If we ignore them, they will destroy themselves. Like unloved children, they hate being ignored. When no one pays attention to them, they have only themselves to consider. Considering the hateful emptiness within drives them toward making themselves noticed. Wanting attention makes whole countries act like the deranged serial killers that sometimes afflict our own society.
Wednesday, September 13, 2006 Origin of hate. Lenin said "The essence of communism is hate." There is no "God of Love" in the Mohammedan faith. These two foes of Catholicism have a profound lack of love in common. Their mutual lack of love does not make them allies. They hate each other as much as they hate The Church. They hate everyone else, too. Hate, hate, hate. That's all they do, hate. What does it get them? Tyranny. Prison camps. Death. Boring societies. Repressed people. Poverty. Hatred comes from vanity, which leads the vainest of people to say, "I am better than you are." An increased dose of vanity leads them to add, "so you must do what I say." That leads other people to say, "I am just as good as you are, and I won't do it." That leads the very vainest to attack, and whomever gains the most power gets his way, and tries to maintain that power by force. The idea that "I am better than you are." is a direct result of Eve eating the apple. The Hate-o-meter. By now, you understand that Catholic Fundamentalists love to quantify. Like the Catholics of a century ago, who concluded that "stealing more than $25.00 is a mortal sin", Catholic Fundamentalists think that hate can, and should, be quantified. There is no other way to tell who our most dangerous enemies are. At first glance, it would appear that the hundred or so million people killed by Communists make them the world's most hateful people. But, the Western countries have killed as many people by abortion and some forms of birth control chemicals that kill unborn babies. Environmentalists have killed millions by keeping DDT from being available to kill malaria-carrying insects. So, who's higher on the hate-o-meter? That's the wonderful thing about quantification. We count and we count, and are led to see suddenly that we, ourselves, and almost everyone we know, may be guilty of great sin. Quantification leads us to the conclusion that the only thing which can save us is the mercy of God. That's one reason quantification is such a good thing. Equal distribution of hate. The reason there had to be original sin was to give each of us an opportunity to fight against it. Repeating previously quoted sentences from St. Columban: "Without a battle there is no victory. Without a victory, there is no crown." Original sin made sure that Lenin had just as much hate in him as you or I. He fed his hate. We fight ours. Many have Lenin-like dreams, "The world would be a better place if we just got rid of a few million ___________s." We differ from Lenin only from lack of opportunity and a lot less will. But, the same Savior who told us that "the man who wilfully thinks about committing adultery commits it" is also telling us that "the person who intentionally thinks about committing mass murder is doing it." Priests are said to say there is a sameness in sins. True enough. Our own sins, whether of action or fantasy, are pretty much the same as others like us. That's why we should fight. We want to do as well as we can. And, God may grade on a curve. If the world is set up so that only the top 49% of sin-fighters get to Heaven, we want to be there, in the top half. Those whose sin-resistance falls into the bottom 51% may end up like the foolish virgins who used their oil too quickly and were not allowed into the wedding of The Bridegroom.
Friday, September 15, 2006 Moslems, the most self-righteous people in the world. Yesterday, a hard question came to the site. "Do you support the Pope's view of the war in Iraq?" I'm not sure precisely what the Pope's view is, but know that he is against war. I am too. War hurts people. On the other hand, the old quote "war is better than slavery" is something to consider. One question is: War is wrong, but how should we treat those Moslems who want to destroy us? One conclusion: Shunning. Scripture is clear, if a person sins, and refuses to stop sinning, he should be shunned. Moslems kill too much, hate too much, and are far too self-righteous. "I am so right, and you are so wrong that if you don't believe as I believe, I must kill you." They are the most self-righteous people in the history of the world. Obviously, we are called upon to love both neighbors and enemies. If we are to obey our Savior's commands, we have to do exactly that. Love may mean shunning them, leaving them to their own devices, letting them live in the hate-sink their religion has created for them. Buying oil from them only rewards them for being self-righteous. Shunning lets them think about the destructiveness of their lives.
Monday, September 18, 2006 Shedding our skin. Freeing our mind. It is impossible for a snake to grow without losing its skin. A snake getting rid of its skin is doing the hardest work of its life. If it doesn't get rid of its skin, it will die of suffocation. Catholic Fundamentalism demands that we give up the lies that cause intellectual suffocation. The world has woven webs that keep us away from God and His teaching. Confusion, anger, and bitterness follow. As with the snake, freedom is our reward for shedding our intellectual constraints. As we shed those chains, the joy lets us begin to see why He said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Bliss follows. We understand why children have, in the last two generations, developed a reluctance to learn math and science. Such disciplines have been perverted by the lost souls. They are now used to undermine the reality that God made the world and all that's in it. Such disciplines are, therefore unnatural to that part of our nature which has a basic affinity for God. Seeing that the sciences have been perverted to do the Devil's work, children, especially the brighter ones, instinctively view them with suspicion. In their innocence, children sense the conflict between being pro-God and pro-life and sciences that undermine life and its relationship with their Creator. People who are intellectually free cast off the shackles of perverted science. We reject disgusting pills that kill unborn babies; new medications that purport to cure but actually addict gullible people to endless cash drains; alarmists worried about every catastrophe; and those who pervert the study of statistics to justify each new fear. In freedom, we turn back to our loving God. To us, science is ever "the handmaiden of theology".
Tuesday, September 19, 2006 The foot is ever a handy target. Easy to hit, too. In politics, there is an age-old question: Do we vote for the perfect candidate? Do we have a "moral duty" to ignore the less-than-perfect candidate to "teach THEM a lesson"? That question will be answered, for the umpteenth time, in Pennsylvania's upcoming Senatorial election. Senator Santorum is shunned by the purest conservatives for having supported liberal Spector in the Primary. Even worse, Santorum's support of liberal Spector kept conservative Toomey from winning the primary. Toomey supporters were outraged. Toomey is not. Toomey says "support Santorum". Most of the "pure" conservatives have never run for office. Mostly, their stock in trade is that they are "pure". Conservative Purists have counterparts on the left. Stalinists were truly "pure". Trotskyites, were, of course "purer". Such purists rarely join monasteries or convents. They are happy by being "pure" in politics. They know best. "I could support so and so if he just hadn't ____. That mistake was just too much for me." Santorum will vote "conservative" 90% of the time. His opponent, Casey, will vote for higher taxes and more regulations 90% of the time. Conservative purists say: "I'm just not going to vote. No one who cares about purity could vote for Santorum. I hope he loses. We've got to teach THEM a lesson. We'll show THEM." "THEM" loves "Purists". THEM would like for there to be more Purists. "THEM" encourages Purists to "follow their conscience" right down to the very end of the primrose path. Some Purists can't tell when they're being used by THEM. No matter. All Purists refuse to admit that they, personally, might be being used. When confronted with that thought, they shake their heads with astonished wonderment: "No one could be using me. I'm too pure."
Tuesday, September 26, 2006 Why is there a European union? The history of Europe often involves western leaders being bribed by middle-eastern leaders. Such bribes did not begin with Mohammed, but go back to the earliest days of Greece. Just as Athenians, Spartans, Corinthians, and other Greeks were bribed to fight each other, or to battle enemies of the bribing ruler, Romans followed in the same pattern. Rome, however, needed more money than bribes could supply, so they often invaded and looted the lands past Turkey. Bribes from the Middle East paralyzed Western leaders through the Ottoman Empire. Moslem forces were able to invade as far as Vienna after bribing French, German, and Russians to leave them alone. After the internal combustion engine made their oil deposits more valuable, it was necessary for them to be sure that modern countries did not develop new energy sources. Individual countries had to be discouraged from building nuclear reactors, as the French had done. It was difficult to bribe so many leaders. Every election brought forth a new crop of politicians who had to be bribed, on top of the old politicians who didn't want to get their snouts out of the trough. So, in a brilliant coup, Middle Easterners bribed the collectivists in Europe, who needed no encouragement, but only funding, to set up first the Common Market, then the European Union. Arabs hired publicists and academics to invent and disseminate a wide variety of lies, exaggerations, and distortions to a population that had been intentionally under-educated to the point of idiocy. Their hirelings convinced Europeans that there were many threatening environmental problems that could only be solved by a central European government. The new central government made sure that no countries would be able to produce their own power in meaningful amounts. Real power generation was replaced by brainless windmills, bio-mass proposals, and utilization of tidal basins. None of these had the slightest chance of working, which is why they were bribed into existence. The real reason for a united Europe? Bribing was much easier with a Unified Europe, because fewer people had to be bribed. Before unification, each country had a long line of people with their hands out. Once power was concentrated, Middle Eastern bribes were reduced in quantity and the bribes were handed out more easily. Catholic Fundamentalists believe that most politicians will sell out their own country for about five hundred pounds of gold kept in a safe place for them. In Europe, politicians will sell out each others' countries for only two hundred pounds of gold. What a bargain.
Wednesday, September 27, 2006 "The mills of God grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine." Longfellow The public schools used to have children memorize such sentences. No more. Teaching that sin has consequences is not proper in a Godless age. However, we can think about a grain of wheat being dropped into a mill. Maybe one of those big, water-powered mills from a few decades ago. The grain was dropped into a chute, and gradually fell through the mill until it dropped between two grindstones, usually granite. The top stone spun. The grain between it and the still stone below was pulverized so thoroughly that it was turned into powder. Any time we Catholic Fundamentalists start to thinking we're pretty hot stuff, we picture ourselves as a grain of that wheat. Like all the other grains of wheat going through the mill, we fall down the chute. When we hit the grindstones, the granite grindstones hit us. They are so hard and utterly unyielding that we are powdered. Every single sin that we have committed is exposed as a flawed piece of powder within the tiny pile we've become. Every single sin is glowing in evil, neon hues. No matter how well we've hidden, denied, or ignored them, every single unforgiven sin is blazing away for God and His angels to see. Judgment is easy. In terms of light, if shimmering sins blot out whatever good we've done, there is just not enough there to be resurrected. In terms of weight, if unforgiven sins outweigh our good deeds, we are lost. All the truth there is to know about us is in the little, tiny pile of powder transferred from the millstone to the scale. By some bizarre coincidence, it weighs exactly one grain. Minus the sins.
Thursday, September 28, 2006 If we could just get rid of those . . . . . . Most of us have the idea that a few people cause all the problems. "If we could just get rid of (Ted Kennedy; Osama Ben Laden; Al Gore; George Bush; etc. ad infinitum) all our problems would be over. Catholic Fundamentalists see people as ourselves, souls struggling. It is true that Hillary Clinton's soul struggles with different things than Mother Theresa's. But, no matter how bad the person, no matter how wretchedly rotten his beliefs, there is still a soul in there. Somewhere. That soul is only buried in one or more of the seven sins. Some are buried in Pride. Others are trapped in envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust or sloth. Those are the only things that can go wrong with souls. We should, of course, see what our own tendencies are. As we remove those huge planks from our eyes, we see that all our fellow men are either fighting the same battles, or they are not aware that they should be fighting those battles. If they are lost, it is because we have not done a good job of explaining to them that the saving of one's soul is worth all the pottage in the world. So, the things we should most want to get rid of are our own sins and the tendencies to commit them. Eternal vigilance is the price, not only of liberty, but also, of salvation.
September, 30 2006 Catholic Fundamentalism on polygamy. I. Societies usually have a fairly equal ratio of men to women. So, for every man with five wives, four other men will have no wife at all. If every married man has five wives, then in a society with one billion people, one hundred million men will have five hundred million wives. Four hundred million men will have no wives at all. They will tend to make trouble, so their activities must be carefully controlled, at great expense. Many must be occupied making war on their neighbors. The reason that they must risk death? Richer and more powerful men have taken the wives with whom, in a one-wife culture, they could have built families and futures. Of these four hundred million men, the smarter ones are most likely to be destabilizing. They are smart enough to see that polygamy is causing all kinds of economic, social, and emotional problems. Those who verbalize their concerns are the first to be neutralized. They are jailed, killed, or exiled. Or, parts of their bodies are cut off. That process of getting rid of the smartest among the unmarried 4/5s of the men dumbs down the society. The one hundred million men who have all the wives are usually not the smartest men. Greedy? Yes. Ego-centric. Yes. Inherited the most money and property. Yes. But, they are not usually among the smartest. So, the fathers of most of the children are not the smartest men. It is true that society, to be successful, needs smart men. One Thomas Edison can move a freer society very far ahead. So can a Henry Ford or a Westinghouse, Carver, Goodyear, etc. Such men often appear from modest, humble circumstances; such geniuses are the happy accidents of monogamy. Those men never seem to come from countries that have been polygamous for many, many generations. Never. II. The man with many wives is saying to nearby men without wives: "I will have many, many, many legitimate children to inherit my name and property. You will not. I am taking for myself women who will never be your wives. I am taking your families. I am destroying your futures. I am so much better than you are that I do this without feeling one bit of guilt. Why? My superiority to you is not my doing, but the will of Allah. It is kismet. It is fate. Catholic Fundamentalists understand that polygamy is the logical conclusion of Calvinist determinism that reduces men and women with free will into helpless pawns of the richer and more powerful. Like Calvin, Mohammed began a religion that justified itself by material success. Like Calvin, Mohammed killed those who disagreed. Great suffering is the inevitable result of such beliefs. Polygamists will fight to maintain the status quo. Their religion, government, and internal domestic operations are all there to keep the powerful in power. The weak and the poor are trampled. Polygamous societies cannot be defeated until the idea that polygamy is good is seen for exactly what it is, a manifestation of lust by the richer and more powerful. It is the cornerstone of heresy, as always, resting on the foundation of vanity. III. All involved in polygamy are lessened by it. Wives do not have one husband, but a portion of one. Similarly, husbands have a portion of each wife. Children are always less than they would be in Christian countries. Daughters are mere pawns in future trades for dynastic advantage, often with men as old, or older, than their father. Sons know that, as soon as they are of age, most will be sent away to lead sterile lives. Each family is deeply at war within itself. Each mother and her children form competing squads within the turmoil. Within each squad, there is a constant battle for dominance. The favored son of the favored mother will generally inherit the majority, if not all, of the father's estate. He will maintain funding of all institutions that will maintain his authority, just as his father did. Often, the anointed heir used to kill or exile his brothers. Now, he subsidizes institutions that convince them to be suicide bombers. IV. Black people in American have IQs that average about 25% higher than African Blacks. This "intellectual rebound" is caused by the fact that their intellectual capacities are no longer limited by the polygamy that has, through history, intellectually weakened African societies. Polygamous Africa had small numbers of men with large numbers of wives. Parts of polygamous Africa had the smallest numbers of men with the largest number of wives this side of Ottoman harems. In Africa, surplus men were, and still are, sold into slavery. That helped fund polygamy, in a sick sort of economic cannibalism. The increasingly limited gene pool of who were in a position to have children produced the inevitable intellectual decline that afflicts polygamous societies. In monogamous America, the children of Ham have been free to marry whom they please. In only a few generations, individual IQs had risen to the point that George Washington Carver invented revolutionary uses for agricultural products, almost single-handedly combining agriculture and organic chemistry. In polygamous Africa, a George Washington Carver would have been killed, eaten, or sold. By the 1950s, the income of American Negro families was nearly that of whites, rates of illegitimate births were practically zero, and segregation was disappearing. Naturally, no modern government could stand to see people being successful on their own. They moved in to stop it with well-funded groups that focused on "civil rights" rather than on individual accomplishment. To re-lower IQs, they invented "welfare" programs that rewarded women for having large numbers of illegitimate children, often to the most dangerous and aggressive consorts. V. The problems polygamy causes simply won't go away. Alienated families with groups warring among each other invariably produce people who lose in power struggles for assets. Some young men have experienced loss after loss in family battles. They hate the fathers who disinherited them and the brothers who got the estates. They become bitter, angry, and develop the personalities that can let them be turned into terrorists. They soon begin associating with a whole group of even more angry, bitter young men, whom they readily join in war with the West. And, with the East. They fight Hindus and Buddhists, as well as Christians. Their bitterness knows no boundaries. Christian societies don't produce that sort of terrorist personality in such numbers. VI. Inbreeding causes a drop in intellectual ability. Polygamous societies end up with more inbreeding than monogamous societies. Section I pointed out that if the average polygamist has five wives, out of a billion people four hundred men have no wives. All children will come from 20% of the men. In the following generation, 80% of the men will likewise be excluded. As generations pass, inbreeding increases geometrically. As that happens, the only escape from declining intellectual ability is several generations of monogamy. Factually, polygamy is not quite as concentrated as in the 1:5 ratio of men to wives. But, all increases from 1:1 cause the lessening of intellectual, and other, abilities. Monogamous Hindus, for instance, adopt to the modern age more quickly than the children of polygamy, though both Hindus and Moslems left the Iron Age about the same time. Actually, only the former left. (Catholic Fundamentalists, by the way, think that Hindus and Hinduism are a Hebrew-based people and religion. They reach this conclusion by seeing the similarity with "Abraham" and "Brahmin". Catholic Fundamentalists also see the connection between the golden calf, to whom people turned as soon as Moses went away for a few weeks, and the honor Hindus continue to show to cattle.) V. The inner cities have taught us that people who feel abandoned by their fathers tend to be violent. Violence, in controllable amounts, provides all sorts of funding opportunities in western nations, none of which work very well. In polygamous countries, there is less time for a father to love his children. Families become battlegrounds. The winner of the father's attention, and later estate, is the one who most firmly believes the justifications for polygamy, thus insuring another generation of polygamists. Those cut off from their fathers' attention, and by their fathers' wills are angry and hostile. So, the polygamists invent a religion that focuses their anger on outsiders who did absolutely nothing as bad to them as their own families. Summing up, there is no way to fix it. Polygamists do not have a "loving God", they do not have a "fatherly God", they have only obedience to their laws, and those laws are based, if not on actual hate, on a mechanized universe in which there is no love. VI. First came polygamy, then came the religion to support it. The early Jews were polygamous. Moses was afraid of them, so he allowed it. Jesus, at one with The Holy Spirit, was afraid of nothing. He forbade it. Polygamists hated that doctrine and the Loving God who made it. They helped any religious leader who would help them justify their lust. The one who justified it best became their leader. So, they have a religion whose God is not love and whose teachings mandate murder. VII. Reducing women to property simplifies life. Suddenly, the number of neighbors one has to respect is cut in half. And, what is euphemistically called "female circumcision", holding down a young girl and scraping away her clitoris with a sharpened spoon, further simplifies the life of those who can add such maimed children to their collection. No need to worry about making her happy or satisfied. Easier to destroy and maim. The owner of the harem wants things to be kept simple. Polygamy further reduces women because it has mechanisms to make it easy to throw away those who are unwanted. "I divorce, thee", repeated three times, is all that's necessary. Without skills, easy divorce without alimony makes women utterly dependent on pleasing their husbands. If they are thrown away, and fall into the streets, they can be executed as "adulteresses". Why aren't feminists in Western countries outraged? They're bribed. VIII. Polygamy and slavery go hand in hand through the ages. Slavery provides a market for unwanted children, men, and women. Polygamous wives live in fear of being sold, so pleasing their owner/husband becomes a way of life. Slavery provides a source of discipline for the husband/owner. No one in the family dares to argue. He has more than the power of life and death, he has the power to inflict a life of pain and servitude on any member of his family who displeases him. "I hate to sell a family member into slavery, but it will help the rest of them want to do better, so it is my duty." Any number of very holy men will agree. |
