Monday, April 2, 2007 Filtering out impurities. There is a logic and order to every part of The Program. We can choose to become part of that order and logic. If we are married, we should be loving and faithful. If we are employed, whether as student or worker, we should be hard-working and honest. If parents, loving. We know when we stray from the straight and narrow. The opportunity to get back on track is, with the Sacrament of Confession, always there. Ignoring that will destroy us forever. When wrong, we should try to be right. When confused, we should try to seek the greatest truth. At every step of the way, we want to get rid of all thoughts and words that may pollute our body, mind, and soul. Those on the other side always try to clean up what is outside them. They worry about cleaning the whole world while their own souls are stained with sin. Their kind of thinking is a great impurity, in itself. We must be careful not to be trapped into thinking that we are doing something useful when we work to change things that not broken. Monday, April 2, 2007 Filtering out purities. While those on The Programmer's side work to filter out impurities, the forces of death try to filter out anything good and decent. Good, decent ideas get in the way of driving more of us into greater slavery. Public educators have long since succeeded in filtering out all Christian teachings from their classrooms. The idea that children do better in two-parent homes has, likewise, been filtered out. Historical events and personages that may give credibilty to Christian thought are filtered out. Rebellions and revolutions in favor of actual freedom from government are also filtered out. Scientific knowledge is filtered so that the latest alarms can have credibity. People are intentionally undereducated, while being told that "this is the best-educated generation in history". Self-esteem has replaced logic and accurate appraisal of skills.

It's easy to find ourselves to have been so thoroughly manipulated that we think the items in column I are caused by the things in column 2. In actual fact, more of the things in column I are caused by governments' tyranny and/or incompetence than by anything else. We have to continually examine our thinking to be sure that we have not been needlessly alarmed by those whose livelihoods depend on creating a state of constant alarm. "Worrisome" problems are usually lies that profit those who've hired the teller of the tale. As a rule of thumb, all news is comprised of press releases disguised as "dangers to our well-being." A good way to understand today's "scares" is to pick up some very old newsmagazines. When we read them, we see a chronicle of yesterday's imaginary fears and problems. It help us see how much "current news" is mostly made of imaginary ways to make us fear and worry.
Wednesday, April 4, 2007 Souls beyond. After the soul leaves the body, it goes to judgment. Then, it is sent where it deserves to be. When any soul was first conceived, it had the power to absorb and transform the matter around it into a body. Dante tells us that what appear to be actual bodies are suffering greatly in Hades. Catholic Fundamentalists believe that the same power that allowed the soul to "grow" a material body on earth allows that same soul to produce a body beyond. That "second body" could be programmed to appear with whatever speed The Programmer desires. That "second body" is rewarded with joy or punished with agony. It is different than the "first body" in that it is able to stand infinitely more pain. It's depth of feeling is intense, and unrelieved by passing out, sleep, or any other pain management that we know on earth. There are no more important problems to explore. No time like the present to begin thinking about the mechanics of what happens when our soul leaves our body.
Thursday, April 5, 2007 Rot in the leftist soul. It's amazing how often conservatives find themselves asking "What is wrong with them?" when we hear another hare-brained liberal. There is no point in even a partial list of leftist lunacies. Everything they try fails. Nothing they do works. They'd rather embark on yet another lunacy than examine the one that's failed. Recently, a person who'd been attacked by a depraved sadist was interviewed. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked her torturer. "Because I hate you." he said to a woman he'd never seen before. Leftists are less obviously perverse. They attack all non-government groups over a certain size. Smokers are a perpetual target. So are gun owners and hunters. Professional sports enthusiasts provide excuses for taxation. Catholic institutions provide targets for those who dislike the ideas of objective truth and moral standards. As soon as a business group gets large enough, the left has a new target to tax and regulate. When Wal-Mart reached a certain size, it became a leftist target. Target, a smaller chain, is not a leftist target. Many targeted people and organizations have found they can make donations (pay protection) to leftists to avoid being targeted. That is a major source of income for many on the left. They are about as happy as tapeworms.
Monday, April 9, 2007 From Passover to Easter Happy Easter and Passover. Both Holy Days celebrate the same thing, on different planes. The angel of death "passed over" those Hebrew households with the lambs' blood on their doorposts. Those so protected stayed alive while the unprotected were killed. Easter commemorates the lifting of a death sentence on all those within the Kingdom of God. Eternal death "passes over" those who die in a state of Grace, just as it did for Christ. Unfortunately, many do not use their time on earth to grow closer to The Programmer. Just as many "good" people died because their houses were not marked with lambs' blood, so many "good" people will not go to Heaven because they did not endeavor to be in a state of grace at the end. Our job is to do what we can to explain this. Many, who would otherwise be lost, can appreciate God once they understand Him as having the ability to program everything in creation and make all things work together for good.
Tuesday, April 10, 2007 Words, angels, and demons. God has the ability to program angels, who are spirits with free will. Some angels obey Him, some don't. Men do not have the power to program angels, but we can produce words. Like angels, words travel through time and space. Like angels, words get inside minds and influence them. Some choose to produce and compile words that glorify God, truth, and love. Others choose to produce and compile words that undermine God, truth, and love. When we tell a person, "You are fat, dumb, and ugly.", we are planting evil, destructive words that influence a person's view of themselves. If, on the other hand, we say, "I am so glad that you are a kind and generous person.", we are saying something that encourages both kindness and generosity. Many of the thoughts we think involve using words for good or evil. Every word we say does the same thing. We should all try to make the right choices in what we think and say. We want our minds to be fit places for angels to visit.
Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Liberals hate. Imus proves it. Recently, a national celebrity called young black women "nappy-headed hoes" and "jigaboo wannabes". Those are words representing thoughts that are utterly foreign to most of us. About the same age as Imus, I cannot recall ever thinking such thoughts, much less saying such words. The celebrity is known for thinking of himself as "sensitive" and "enlightened" and "progressive". Yet, beneath the surface there must be a raging racism that indicates hate, not love, of neighbor. Hurting people is wrong. Mr. Imus hurt a great many people. The people who make excuses for him must have the same thoughts, thoughts which, if they came out as words, would identify the similarity of their thinking with Imus's. As Scripture teaches, "Their crime is not that they are blind, but that they say they see." Mr. Imus is surrounded by sycophants and lackeys desperate to have lots of people see them on television. It has destroyed his capacity to root out hate and dislike from his mind, because any emotion he verbalizes is immediately praised by his loyal entourage. He is a victim of his own success.
Thursday, April 12, 2007 The Big Bang problem with Sustainability. While transcribing recent Lie Committee reports from the Energy Committee, I noticed a great deal of conversation about "sustainability", a popular thought process that leads to the paralysis so beloved by the other side. The Lie Committee correctly determined "Since nothing is sustainable, only nothing is sustainable." I had to read that twice until realizing that the perpetual leftist nihilism had been given a new name. In sustainability, only organizational structures that allow for greater taxation are allowed. Excessive taxation destroys societies. Sustainability provides another excuse for destruction. The other side prefers chaos, and introduces it at every opportunity. As soon as they see something that works, or can work, they do everything they can to introduce chaos into it. Dante described them and their aims as "dis". The other side loves chaos because it causes systems to decay. Chaos leads to nothingness faster than organized systems. When chaos is described as "sustainability", which seems to mean "stability", they are able to convince many to help them. A hatred of God is at the core of their every thought. That hatred forced them into a depersonalized creation process that took place without a Supreme Being, hence the "big bang". But, the "big bang", having produced things, is not sustainable, since no thing is. So, their replacement for God cannot be eternal. Questions we may ask promoters of "sustainability": Should we try to sustain our own lives? The lives of those around us? If so, do we want to sustain the freedom to sustain our lives in the manner we choose? Since nothing is sustainable, why not just let each person be as free as possible? The fact that their system is heading for oblivion takes away any excuse to participate in the futility of trying to improve any part of it. On the other hand, if it is good to make things better, we can see that nothing they have ever done has worked, so the best thing for them to do is to withdraw from political activity.
Friday, April 13, 2007 Herds and cowboys. Those who deal directly with herds are cowboys. They direct their herds from one activity or belief to another. The cowboys all report to foremen. Foremen report to managers who get their orders from owners. Sports Cowboys. In cold weather, Sports Cowboys drive their herds to basketball. In Spring, to baseball. In the fall, to football and hockey. Each of these herds has expensive stadia built, usually at public expense. Herds are driven into newer stadia whenever big contractors and big unions need work. Their "lead cows" are driven to travel great distances to observe sports. Media cheerleaders applaud their bizarre costumes, loyalty, and courage. "Dedicated fans" are at the very head of each herd. Sports Cowboys, from Rome's gladiators to now, are valued because they distract large numbers of people from governmental failures and excessive taxation. Those in the herd have little realization of how they're being used. Boredom with the world has helps make us "herdable". It is more worthwhile to study God, His Saints and Scripture than waste time and money watching overpaid athletes do the fundamentally silly things they do. Media Cowboys. The more that countries pretend to be free, the more important it is to corral citizens' thoughts. Each nation's herds must be kept from thoughts and activities that might disrupt owners' cash flows. Real problems must be hidden at the same time imaginary problems are made to seem important. In every age, the power of the Media Cowboys to herd people into paralyzing uselessness is obvious. In a short time, for instance, a well-directed herd can be stampeded into believing that "global freezing" is a problem. Within a year or too, skilled cowboys can turn the herd so effectively it thinks "global warming" is a danger. Media Cowboys can fill whole news broadcasts with distracting drivel. Few in the herd will notice that any given "news" show is one third obviously paid advertisements, one third less-obviously paid advertisements, and one third previews of advertisements to come. Any actual "news" happening is quickly turned to the benefit of one or more owners. Pornography and concern about "celebrities" are pastures that Media Cowboys are expected to drive as many into as possible. They work to make sure the fences around the Pornography Pastures are in disrepair.
Energy Cowboys. Atomic energy is a cheap, proven way to produce inexpensive power. Energy Cowboys carefully move the herd away from thinking about its advantages. Energy Cowboys keep the herd addicted to present sources of power to fund the Owners' huge salaries, returns, and benefits. Energy Cowboys keep the herd moving toward less power at higher costs. That's the easiest way to boost profit margins. They have cheap, atomic power, for instance, so fenced off with regulations and imaginary safety concerns that no one in the herd can get to it.
Monday, April 16, 2007 “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” Psalm 118: 22 When that passage was written, all important buildings were built of stone. It cost a lot to get stone out of the ground and get it to the building site. Each stone, even before the final cutting, represented a sizable investment. Would builders reject a stone that they had already paid for? If it was too big, it could be chipped, split, or sawn to size. If it was irregular in shape, it could be used as part of the rubble in the foundation or to fill in behind a facade. This stone was rejected. The builders who’d paid for the stone to be delivered could not find a place to use it, hewn or unhewn, shaped or unshaped. No matter how they tried, they could not make it fit into their plans. It could not be chipped, split, or sawn into any shape that they could use. It was harder and tougher than any tool they had. One can imagine the construction supervisor coming to look at it. Then, directing the foremen to “have at it”. "I can make it fit." said many who were eager to gain favor by forcing it into shape. No one could work it. Finally, after many masons had tried, and failed, to make it fit into their plans, it was rejected. They kept on building their own building following their own plans. There was no place for the rejected stone. The rejected stone, as prophesied, later became a cornerstone. All of we stones (Luke, 3:8. "I tell you that God is able to raise up children of Abraham from these stones.") who laid ourselves upon it in His building had to conform themselves to it. We who try to stay within the structure of the building try to love our enemies, seek to be kind and gentle, and try to be honest and chaste. We want to be a part of His building. We want as our very foundation a stone that no man could alter to suit his own purposes. Hopefully, if others try to force us into being a part of their lesser plans, we will be as firm and unyielding as was The Cornerstone.
Tuesday, April 17, 2007 Lie Watchers just spotted a magnificent whopper. Just as bird-watchers study our feathered friends, and delight in the variations among them, some of us enjoy examining the lies that come and go around us. There are major lies being told in medicine, politics, energy, and environmental movements. We see many, many Global Warming lies. Global Warming is a magnificent lie. It’s a symphonic lie, incorporating within it hundreds of lesser lies, all prevaricating in chorus. As we study it, we also become aware of its marvelous complexity. Many are distracted by media cheering sections that go on and on about dying polar bears, disappearing seals, and reappearances of the dreaded “ozone hole”. While all the liars are lying, it becomes more apparent that Global Warming is caused by fluctuations in the sun’s output. Today, for instance, Mars is growing warmer. No fearful SUVs traverse the harsh Martian landscape. No people live there. Nonetheless, Mars grows warmer. So, by the way, does the equally unpopulated Pluto. These planets, like ours, are growing warmer because there is more sunlight. While the sun is now going through a natural solar fluctuation of increased output, some brief periods may drop slightly. Last week, the first week after Easter, was colder than normal. Why? The sun’s output dropped slightly. Solar Terrestrial Activity Report

More solar activity means higher temperatures. Less solar activity causes lower temperatures. Obviously, the earth, which may receive one billionth of the sun's total output, responds to incoming energy from the sun. To date, not one global warming believer has come up with a lie big enough to make it appear that human activity influences the activity of the sun. Soon, we may be assured, one will.
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Why do they move left? Those led to the left are fearful, timid souls. Without courage, a gift of the Holy Wireless Connector Who joins believers to God, they are easy prey for every alarm. Cowardice does not travel alone. It is preceded by Greed. The first lie that Greed tells is “Be afraid”. Fear is buttressed by supporting lies, an example of which is the “Precautionary Principle”. Such lies are designed to paralyze all observable activity. Since any action must have an effect that someone can call “bad”, all actions are stopped. When stopping activity, another lie, “It’s for the common good.”, is told. This lie can extend to the color one wants to paint his shutters, the style of light bulb that may be screwed into a socket, and what garbage can may be used for various types of trash. After fear has been introduced, regulation follows. With amazing speed, fines, property confiscation, enforcement personnel, and jail sentences appear. All possible activities become a source of state revenue and control. One day, we walk unimpeded through an airport. The next, we are poked and prodded by endless divisions of uniformed guards who miraculously appeared to "save" us. Fear is always led by Greed. The minds of the fearful are so unhinged by fear that they are unable to make the connection. More lies thoroughly convince them that “Fear is wisdom”. The fearful are driven more deeply into bondage while the greedy grow richer. The states' school systems magnify fear. For hundreds of years, the French were taught to fear the English, Russians the Germans, and vice versa. Today, with most armed forces unable to get past the fear of nuclear war, children are taught to fear human activities. They learn that their enemy is themselves, their neighbors, and the processes by which they live. In a generation or so, such confusion keeps them from making commitments, having children, and prolonging the existence of their families and countries. Concepts like religion, family, and patriotism are made laughable. Thus is has always been. Thus it will be until the end.
Thursday, April 19, 2007 Moving ahead. Or, not.
We can picture our relationship with God by imagining a long, long hallway. We are somewhere in the hallway. The Programmer is at the very end. Between God and us, there is a series of curtains spaced a few yards apart. Each curtain represents a sin. Each sin represents something that distracts us from God. Behind us are the curtains through which we have already come. We look around where we are in the hallway. Left, right, above, and below is the universe we see. At any given point, we have a tendency to see where we are and be happy with our position. We know we could do worse, but we may not feel enough of a need to be better to actually go through all the trouble of getting through the next curtain. On the other hand, we can be so attracted to something behind us that we reverse, and revisit the the compartments behind us. We know how to get through those curtains, and the temptation is often there to do so. There is a tendency to stay in the place we find ourselves at any given time. We can decorate that space, and live there quite comfortably. There are others there who have progressed as far and with whom we are friendly. Those comfortable in their compartment tend to call those moving through to the next compartment “extremists”. Those falling back into the farther-away compartments are a source of pride to those who stay in the same place. “Well, I didn’t go back to doing that.” Often, that pride paralyzes the soul, and cements it into place, farther away from God than it had to be. Those trying to get closer to God, by the design of The Program, are given enough grace to do so. All we have to do is ask.

He revealed himself in this way. 2 Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee's sons, 2 and two others of his disciples. 3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We also will come with you." (The Disciples willingly followed their leader.) So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore; but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus said to them, "Children, have you caught anything to eat?" They answered him, "No." 6 So he said to them, "Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something." So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. (Is Jesus telling the ages that converts are to be found on the right, not on the left? Catholic Fundamentalists infer from this that He thinks it is a waste of time to try to convert liberals, whom He arranged to have sitting on the left in the governing body of the French Revolution.) 7 So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." (Before, it was Peter who was the first to say "You are the Christ.") When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. (Peter left his followers to join his leader after John pointed out Who He was.) 8 The other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards, dragging the net with the fish. 9 4 When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. (Where did the charcoal come from? Charcoal, made of 'baked wood', was expensive. Charcoal burns hotter than wood, signifying the purification and transformation of raw ore into desired metals like steel. Without charcoal, the making of which was a trade secret, there would have been no steel. Charcoal was as great a technological step forward as the computer, yet appeared on an isolated beach.) 10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you just caught." 11 So Simon Peter (the first to obey) went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three 5 large fish. (He didn't bring just some of the fish, he brought ALL of the fish that were caught on the right side of the boat. That's heartening to all of us Catholic Fundamentalists. How was it kept from ripping while being dragged up and across the rough beach? Was Jesus continually "programming" it to be repaired as it was torn, as He repairs The Church as it moves through time, drawing souls to God across the shoals of temptation? As our parish priest repairs our souls at Confession?) Jesus said to them, "Come, have breakfast." And none of the disciples dared to ask him, 6 "Who are you?" (What kind of a being are you, who would rise from the dead, appear here to have breakfast with us, tell us where to fish, arrange for us to catch exactly 153 of them, and keep our net from ripping?) because they realized it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. (He did not use the fish they'd caught, but gave them the fish he had alaready cooked over the charcoal.) This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.
Tuesday, April 24, 2007 The Electromagnetic Spectrum
We are able to see the “visible light” section of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. Those who saw Mary at Fatima did not necessarily have to “see” her with their eyes. We know by their testimony that if the light emanating from the vision did not come through their eyes, they did “see” with their minds. Lots of energy goes into our eyes, through our optic nerves, and into our brains. Since the seeing that we do is actually done inside our brain, the light only provides information that the brain processes. It is our brain that tells us what we are “seeing”. Those who saw the sun moving at Fatima, for instance, saw with their minds what their senses were allowed to “pass through”. The vision may have come into their mind through the optic nerve, or may have been directly inserted by wavelength or angel. The Holy Wireless Connector, Catholic Fundamentalism's description of The Holy Spirit, allows those chosen to receive wavelengths generated by The Programmer, His angelic Sub-Programmers, and powerful saints. The Holy Wireless Connector also opens up frequencies with which we communicate with God and His saints and angels. Yesterday’s consideration of the number 153 may be considered in this regard. When we have an odd thought (in this case, "what was the significance of His having chosen 153 fish to be caught? Who counted them? Why, unless to provide us with that number, indicating that John was very aware of math and wanted us to be?), we may profitably wonder if it originated within us, or was put into our mind.

They are an ongoing test of minds and souls, separating the blind from the sighted, the enlightened from the benighted, the independent thinker from the slave to intellectual fashions dictated by the most powerful tax-grabbers. Most importantly, the Global Warming Lies separate the lovers of lies from those who love truth. In order to raise taxes, carbon dioxide, the very stuff of life, has been demonized as "dangerous". All over the globe, elitists claim to be very, very worried about too much carbon dioxide. They do not realize that accurate carbon dioxide measurements have been made for nearly two hundred years. Following is a graph of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere: As can be seen, the "dreaded" enemy of the lives utterly dependent upon it is well reduced from it's previous highs half a century ago and almost two centuries ago. Like a yoyo, the level of carbon dioxide goes up and down. It does as much harm as a yoyo, going up and down. Those who participate in selective sources (the above graph summarizes about 300 researchers over two centuries) in order to reach a desired conclusion are not scientists. They are lost souls, willing to sacrifice their souls for a bit of pottage.
Tuesday, April 24, 2007 Crusading for relevance, 1. All government agencies seek relevance. Fortunately, modern improvements have provided most Americans with clean water, effective sewage, electricity, health care, transportation, etc. To find relevance, agencies seek to find "emergencies" on which they can focus. Those desperate to maintain funding will periodically declare "war" on things like drugs; insignificant amounts of chemicals in air, land, and water; illiteracy; firearms; "unsafe" food; and the list goes on. Many agency personnel will gladly bear false witness in order to increase funding for their agencies. We must train ourselves to be aware that most "alarms" are frauds. Endlessly asking "who benefits?" is a big help in seeing the motivation for various "emergencies". Crusading for relevance, 2. Often, existing processes are demonized to show the relevance of needs for additional funding. Electricity is a perfect example. One hundred nuclear power plants presently provide 20% of America's power at a cost of a penny per kilowatt. Nearly free power could be supplied for all of us by building a few hundred more plants. A few more plants could also provide power for electrically powered vehicles. No government agency, "news" broadcast, or private company tells how Americans can have cheaper power. Instead, power costs are increased, and generating plants are taken off line, so that we will have less power and pay more for it. Who benefits?
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 Power Frauds Windmills don't work unless the wind is blowing. Solar cells don't work at night. It takes too much energy to separate the hydrogen atom from the oxygen atom for hydrogen to be a useful fuel. Ethanol and other grain-based fuels take more energy to plant, harvest, and prepare for fuel than they make. There isn't enough water power. Tidal power generation won't stand up to tsunamis. These are the most popular sources of energy "alternatives". They cannot work. That's why they're popular with those unable to analyze costs. No liberals are in favor of building another hundred atomic energy plants that are proven to work. The leftist mindset always prefers inevitable failure to success and would rather hurt, than help, their neighbors.
Thursday, April 26, 2007 Some Catholic Fundamentalists don't even bother arguing. Well-adjusted minds gravitate to the simplest positions that cover the most bases. CFs believe that God is The Programmer of Programmers. We think His Power allowed Him to program energies and particles. He compiled them to create sub-programmers, beings, and structures that go through time. We humans, programs who have free-will, are among His most complicated programs. Our admitted simple-mindedness takes many forms, one of which concerns the six Programming sessions. We say, "God programmed the world in six days, just as Scripture records." More complex moderns often reply: "I don't know if there is a God, and I don't know if He made the cosmos. I believe that there was a "big bang" billions of years ago. We evolved from the 'primordial ooze' that formed after the "big bang"." One reply, "You have allowed your mind to be filled with needless complexity." may seem to be overly dismissive. On the other hand, it saves us a lot of time and energy.
Monday, April 30, 2007 Regulating, then rationing. Bureaucrats love to regulate and ration. Real or imaginary "emergencies" give them perfect opportunities to do so. English bureaucrats, among the worst since Babylon, kept food rationing in place for almost ten years after WWII ended. They loved it! They got to meddle in the lives of every single person in Great Britain for almost two whole decades. It was the only way such people could become important. The desire for oneself to attain importance is unbridled vanity. That is at the heart of all regulating and rationing. Electricity, already tightly regulated, will soon be rationed to solve the imaginary problem of global warming. All of us will have to be closely metered to be sure we aren't "being piggy". Fewer generating plants will put out less power and prices will go 'way up. They invent lots of "reasons" for responding to this, or any, "dire emergency". But, all of them boil down to one thing. They do not love their neighbors. |
