                                                Millions may die!

Many repeated:  "Global freezing!  Millions may die!"

Then, in the blinking of an eye, they were given a new, completely opposite fear.  "Global warming!  Millions may die!"

That was soon replaced with a newer, greater, all-encompassing, mother-of-all-frights fear-fest that they now repeat: "Climate change!  Millions may die!”

Many believe that going through these remarkably rapid belief-changes is a form of rational thought.   The more deluded believe that flitting from one idiocy to another indicates the possession of a lofty intellect.

A “medieval warm period” had warmer temperatures than today.  Such warming periods reoccur every few hundred years, with or without internal combustion engines.

One global warming “scientist” is on record as saying “We’ve got to get rid of the medieval warm period (to make global warming seem real.)!”  That desire motivated the now discredited “hockey stick” that illustrated a totally imaginary problem in a most fraudulent way.   "The hockey stick!  Millions may die!", slower learners persist in repeating.

When we are faced with the newest reason that “Millions will die!” it is wise to remember the wisdom of H. L Mencken:

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them entirely imaginary.”

Plato said much the same thing about a "mindless horde" of brainless clods in a cave.  They babbled endlessly about the shadows they were allowed to see on the wall.  Not one of them was smart enough to turn their heads to see who made the shadows and what motives they may have had.

Those who lack the intellectual ability to "turn toward the light", as Plato put it, may find a type of fulfillment among the shadows cast on the wall by the imaginary hobgoblins.  They may grow angry if told:  "They're telling you a pack of lies.  Aren't you smart enough to know that?"

There's always a new reason that "Millions may die!"  They always translate into increased profits for the sponsor of the latest hobgoblin.

                                       C&A, consolidation and amalgamation.

We don't see as many small, independent units as we once did.  As a country matures, small units are consolidated.   At one time, seven families controlled all the commerce in Rome.

Just as small gasoline stations are gobbled up by big chains, small factories are absorbed into larger.  Tiny refineries, as Rockefeller discovered, offered a prime opportunity for C&A into fewer, larger entities.

Small political entities are often encouraged to join larger, with the claim that "money will be saved."  Despite such C&A, taxes are never reduced, but are funneled into higher salaries, pensions, and benefits.

Large law firms tend to buy out smaller firms.  Medical practices consolidate, as well.  So do hospitals.

C&A takes place in crime.  Groups of organized criminals take over smaller territories.  Smaller criminals are ruthlessly destroyed.

C&A causes great changes, and reductions, in thinking abilities.  The person who would have once owned a restaurant may now be a manager, with fewer more specific duties.  He becomes less well-rounded as a thinker.  As a result, he becomes more easily fooled by groups of clever liars.

A nation of small, independent farmers thinks far better than the same nation being fed by huge corporate farms and processors.

We have to be especially careful when groups of liars consolidate and amalgamate to make imaginary problems seem real and scary.  When a really big, profitable lie comes along, all those who profit meet to divvy up the loot.  Today, the global freezing/warming/climate change lies are attracting many, many participants.

Such examples of C&A evolve into taxation schemes.  Governments that want to use "carbon credits" as a new kind of money.  It costs them nothing, but will have to eventually be purchased with real cash.  Oil producers sense that prices that can be fixed at high rates.  Electricity producers are aware that, "to stop climate change" they must cancel expansions.  Coal miners can use rules to keep competitors from emerging.  Billions can be transferred to bonuses and salaries of C&A participants.  Others, in on the ground floor, will be able to keep factories from being built to compete with them, because "it may set back global warming".

We, of course, will pay more for everything.  But, that's what C&A is supposed to cause.  Ever fewer numbers of ever richer people increasingly dominate a growing groups of ever-poorer people.

                                                          Upwards.

Most of us think that "up" is preferable to "down".  This preference reflects our inborn love of God.  We correctly sense that He is "above" us, and we want to be closer to Him.

As we rise in a building or an airplane, we can see farther.  When we rise toward God, one of the things we can see around us is the damage that sin does.

Most of us can apply that knowledge to our own lives.  We see that our own behaviors may eternally damage our souls.  We find ourselves resisting sin.  As we do so, we grow closer to God.

We would cry:  "Watch out!" if we saw a blind person stepping toward a gaping hole.  We should do no less when we see a morally blind person heading toward error.

The truly blind person will thank us for saving him from a bad fall.  The morally blind may snarl "Mind your own business!"  Most of us have had that sort of response from those stuck in their sins, and most of us have learned to avoid saying anything upsetting.

Our silence reinforces their behavior, and may help ensure their self-destruction.  As we get closer to God, and more clearly see the consequences of sin, we may find one conversational approach helpful:

"I used to do that.  Then, I realized it offended God, and I was afraid of final judgment."

We must never forget that "the beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord."  Any time we can show someone the association between behaving badly and the agonies of Hades, it's a beginning.

                                                  Devil's playground.

It was recently discovered that after smokers and other addicted people have an accidental injury or a stroke that damages a tiny, specific part of the brain, their addiction disappears.

"After my injury, I hated cigarettes.  I couldn't stand the way they smelled." one former nicotine addict explained.

Catholic Fundamentalists use this medical evidence to picture a place in the mind where the demons of addiction live.  It's like a computer room, where they sit and play with the neurons that connect mind and body.

"Let's get 'em smoking!  Let's get 'em drinking!  Let's get 'em gambling!  Let's get 'em hooked on meth!  Sex!"  the demons of the different addictions tell each other.

Actual demons, tiny as angels, but not as bright, move into, and take over, the tiny, physical area of the brain where they begin and maintain as many destructive addictions as possible.   Evidence that they have an actual home in the mind, and that they can be driven out by the physical destruction of that home, is fascinating.

First of all, knowing that they live in a dirty little shack they've built at a specific location in our brain gives us a place to focus our prayers.  Prayers, to Catholic Fundamentalists, are simply requests for programming assistance from higher-powered programmers.  "Please, St. Anthony, let me find a way to drive the demons out of my mind!  Please, send well-armed angels!  Zap that tiny, microdot sized portion of my brain where they live.  Better yet, zap the demon!"

Enough prayers will cause a Saint, wearying of our constant pleas, to "burn 'em out", and will get us back on the right track.  "Enough prayers" may mean a few hours a day for a month, but those prayers will bring programming assistance, in the form of a spiritual "slayer of dragons" from the servants of God.

Asking for higher-level programmers to destroy the demon's home is much better than beating one's head against a wall, a primitive method of doing the same thing.

                                                Devil's playground, II.

Since it is known that some addictions can be removed by damaging a tiny portion of the brain, one wonders if political beliefs can similarly be affected.  Do those addicted to attention, for instance, have a tiny group of demons forcing them into the most attention-getting politicial or career positions, regardless of long-term benefits?

Some are addicted to material possessions.  Do they have a tiny area of short-circuiting demons that keep them focused on the things of creation?  Is food addiction caused by the same process?

Such areas do exist in the brain.  They could be destroyed by finely focused lasers or scalpels, but that would only destroy the demons' messy "office", not the demon, itself.

Trying to cure spiritual problems with physical means is not, in the long run, possible.  The same demons will return, bringing others with them, and make new homes for themselves in the brain.

Still, a temporary relief from their activity may help a prayerful person to keep them away.

                                                              Cavemen

Plato, in his Allegory of the Cave, said that most men live in a cave, and are content with seeing the shadows on the wall.  A few turn toward the light, and see what makes the shadows.

Plato was right in general, but wrong in one key point.  There are a lot of caves in which people are very, very comfortable.

Liberals, for example, live in their caves, see shadows on the wall, and think they are seeing reality in the imaginary dangers of climate change, fat, etc.  Further, they think they are “helping” when they try to do an endless number of remarkably useless things about their largely imaginary problems.

Conservatives have caves, too.  They read the supposedly conservative William F. Buckley’s purportedly conservative magazine and think they are seeing reality in the polished press releases of various government agencies.

It is a universal truth that all cavemen believe that they are helping when they repeat what they have absorbed in their cave.  Plato forgot to tell us that there are lots of rooms in the cave; or, that there are a lot of caves.

Each room, or cave, is occupied by three groups.  Each cave has “permanent residents” who find all the satisfaction they need in that cave.  They say two things:  "Come in, come in.", and "Don't go, don't go."

Another group is made of those who are moving into the cave.  “How nice to be here.  This is such an important cave.”

The third group is moving out.  “This cave is getting old and stale.  There is a better cave over there.  That’s where I’m going.”

Creation was programmed so that all three groups of cave dwellers may believe they are making progress, no matter what they do.

It is only by leaving whatever cave we’re in, and approaching the light that emanates from God that we may escape the shadows.  That light, personified by the fulfillment of the Hebrew prophecies, is Jesus Christ.

His truth is light.  In Him, the shadows fade away, and we who are saved rest content forever in His mercy and His love.

We should be very, very afraid that we may not walk in that light.  If we do walk in it, we should ever fear being led away from it.

Caves, we must understand, are dank, damp, dark places filled with shadows.  They’re no place for the children of God to live.

They're driving us crazy.  A simple cure.

All of us are far more worried about things than ever.  The reason is simple, we are told to worry about far more things.  Just as technology has produced more clothes, cars, TVs, and possessions of all kinds, it has also increased the number of things about which we are told to "worry".

The list is endless.  The latest worries, from trans-fats to second-hand smoke to climate change, take up whole pages and news broadcasts.  They keep us from peace and contentment.  When we think about all the worries, it paralyzes our minds.

To begin at the beginning, we ask "Where do worries come from."  The answer is surprising.  Worries are produced in huge worry factories.  Skilled worry-makers crank out their quotas of worries every day.

Then, the question "Why do they make up so many worries?" comes to mind.  The answer is simple: every worry is some worry maker's else's profit center.  As fewer people make a living by doing something real, more people are reduced to manufacturing worries.  All public institutions, and now, many private organizations, are built on a foundation of well-developed worries.

We quoted H. L. Mencken in this month's first post to help understand why politicians are always so alarmed about things.  The same quote helps keep us all saner when applied to any worry:

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them entirely imaginary.”

If one memorizes that simple sentence, and repeats it after each sentence that cautions us to "be careful", we will become saner.  We may even begin to vote for people who tell the truth, rather than for those whom too many of us now support.

When we see Imaginary Problems, we should automatically remember that they are lies.  Each Imaginary Problem is both the manifestation of demonic schemes and the clearing of the way for more demons to move into the minds of the credulous.

Jesus, who drove demons from whole herds of pigs, can drive them from us.

No matter how weighted down our minds are with lies, we have but to remember, "The truth shall set you free."

Hopefully, we remember Scripture well enough to know to Whom that refers.

                                                     Duties

Our first duty is to save our own soul.  We do this by obeying God.  That requires us to love Him, our neighbors, and our enemies.  Having lots of enemies gives us a wonderful opportunity to gain Heaven credits.

The second duty is to save others.   Acquainting non-believers, or tepid believers, with the notion that God can program in three dimensions is a good, quiet start.  Telling the tepid that "God can program three dimensional particles.  He complied them into structures and replicating beings.  He programmed them into a universe to give human beings free will.  You are perfectly free to see the universe as an accident, or as an amazingly complicated program that, for all practical purposes, exists to determine where you want your soul to go."

It may take years for it to sink in.  No matter.  If you help plant the magic bean upon which vine an otherwise lost soul can climb to Heaven, you have done a good thing.

Referring people to catholicfundamentalism.com may help get a seed planted that causes a return to The Church for an individual, a family, or a group.

                                                   Jimmy Smith

Jimmy was in the fifth grade at Roosevelt Elementary.  During his Environmental Studies class, young Master Smith was happily chawing on a small piece of Double-Bubble.  Its pink sweetness distracted him from the dire threats to humanity posed by clouds of methane emitted by Australia's large population of sheep.

Suddenly, he noticed Miss Grace Johnson two rows away.  Jimmy and Grace had been in earlier grades for five years.  Suddenly, for some unknown reason, he was so struck by her beauty that he swallowed his half piece of bubble gum.  He choked.

Immediately, he was taken to the school nurse.  By that time the gum had been swallowed.  "We can't take any chances!" Principal Worriman said.  "He has to go to the hospital."

With the echoes of the ambulance siren still echoing, Principal Worriman was on the phone to Burger, Berger, and Berg.  "I tell you, he swallowed the gum.  It may not pass.  An operation may be necessary.  He'll be at the hospital soon."

In seconds, the three attorneys were on the way.  "We are the plaintiff's attorneys!" they announced to emergency room personnel.

"We know.  We see you every day."

"This is different!  A child's life may be at stake.  Unauthorized foodstuffs, clearly banned, may have been ingested.  We must be sure they pass."

A conference was convened with hospital administrators.  Young Jimmy Smith was put in a private room.  Round-the-clock watchers were assigned.

"What are they doing?" curious personnel asked.

"He swallowed his bubble gum.  They are watching to see if it will pass."

     "Why?"

"If it passes, they intend to sue for hours spent on the case.  If the gum does not pass, they will sue because Jimmy Smith will have absorbed substances that may be known to be possibly carcinogenic."

For seven days, Jimmy Smith lay in bed, immobilized.  No food was allowed.  He was fed with a tube that dripped sugar water into his veins.  Each day, inspections were made to determine whether or not the bubble gum had passed.

Finally, the attorneys demanded an operation.  "It may still be in there, causing undeniable blockage."

Jimmy was put to sleep.  An incision was made.  His abdomen was opened ever wider when no gum was found in his stomach.  "We must be sure there is no gum in his small intestine."  Then, the cut was expanded to be sure the gum had not lodged in his large intestine.

"Open his appendix." chorused Burger, Berger, and Berg.  "Maybe it's in there."

     No gum.

During the five hour operation, Jimmy was infected.  Two days later, he died.

At the funeral, Principal Worriman was asked to speak.

"We did everything we could." he said.

He did not mention his call to Burger, Berger, and Berg.  Nor did he bring up the referral fee he was wont to collect when such cases resulted in large cash disbursements.

                                              Faith is fragile.  Shouldn't be.

As people separate themselves from God's rules, they cannot help but separate themselves from God.   The immediate danger is obvious.

If one dies in a state of mortal sin, one's soul is at risk.  While crying out at the end "God, forgive me!" is certainly a way to avoid perdition, it offers no guarantee.  At best, a painful Purgatorial period may be spent purifying the soul of the self-willed rejection of God in one's life.  Awful pain that could have been avoided is mandated, even welcomed if it allows one to avoid the greater, permanent pain that follows an unrepentant death.

As soon as one is led into sin, the demons of doubt have the usual opening.  "They say you are in a state of sin, but you are a good person.  Those saying that have their own reasons for wanting you to believe.  You don't need to believe in anything but yourself.  You are a good person."

Soon, the original sin may be compounded with a First Commandment violation.  The sinner has put himself ahead of an admittedly jealous God.  That, of course, leads to more sin.

At the very least, the person facing death in such a state should ask forgiveness both for the initial sin, the First Commandment violation, and any subsequent sins.

It's easier to just not sin.

                                    Internet, temporary triumph of truth.

As I look out the window, snow and ice cover every surface.  Pipes are freezing.  Water mains are breaking.  People have no electricity.

Most interesting of all, two conferences on Global Warming were just cancelled.

Why do people get involved in such obvious lies?  For one thing, when the "Global Warming" lies were developed, the internet wasn't nearly as well established.

For centuries, professional liars were able to put forth outlandish claims on behalf of their clients (see the Lie Committees elsewhere on this site) without fear of contradiction.  For agreed upon amounts, problems were featured on the cover of Time, brought up on television, and written about in the NYT.  Most people were intellectually unable make the connection between payola and publicity.

But, the internet has allowed those who can see the connections between Imaginary Problems and profit to tell others.  For the first time in history, a huge, mammoth lie has been slowed down by lack of credibility.

This triumph of truth will have consequences.  The other side is battling mightily to come up with ways to make politically incorrect information unavailable.  In the meantime, we should enjoy the outpouring of truth that makes its way through so many websites to so many previously deluded people.  It is an historical first.

Lies staff the army of hate.

The column above mentioned global warming.  Global warming is a wonderful IQ test.  A few decades ago, those of similar intellects used to ask "What's your sign?", and would nod knowingly on hearing you were a Libra or a Scorpio.

Today, global warming believers quickly categorize themselves as shallow and easily-led.  It is not that they believe in "global warming", but in the credibility of lying governments.

Ignore the intellectual pretensions of such people.  Lenin, who used and abused millions of them, described credulous pseudo-intellectuals as "useful idiots".  Focus, instead, on those who make the lies, and why they continually re-tell them.

Human motivations are either dominated by hate or love.  Those who follow God love their enemies.  Those who follow the Devil hate their friends.

Lies lead people farther from God.  Lies lead to slavery and death.  Those who urge their lies upon us hate us.  They hate us just for being.  A never-spoken goal of environmentl lies is to shut off our electricity and gas in mid-winter and watch us freeze to death.

If their hatred triumphs, they will not tell the same old lies about "trying to make things better".  When triumphant, they gloat:   "Until you were under our control, we had to disguise our true intentions.  Now, we can tell you.  We want to take every thing that every person has.  Then, we want to work you all to death in prison camps."

P.S.  Note on "useful idiots".  While Scripture says "call no man an 'idiot'", we may quote Lenin's use of the word.  To him, "useful idiots" were, obviously, both idiots and useful.  They helped the Communists kill hundreds of millions of people by their passive acceptance of lies.  The word "idiot" describes what he thought of their intellectual abilities.  The word is especially appropriate when describing those who fall for the idiocy of giving up eternal salvation for the sake of gaining the proverbial "mass of pottage".

                                               Strength in weakness.

Lies are living things.  They are spiritual versions of termites and cancer cells, working to destroy bigger structures.  Conversely, truths are as alive as angels, whose mission they mimic.

All lies try to destroy the Roman Catholic Church.  Celibacy is mocked, poverty scorned, and humility ridiculed.  From Nero to Cromwell to Stalin, those most lost in earthly concerns have tried to destroy The Church.

The Bark of Peter always appears to be about to sink.  When Cardinal Newman converted, he was concerned that The Church made Herself look bad by the "overly religious" proclamation of the Immaculate Conception.  Today, many think The Church looks bad for the opposide reason, toleration of those whose practices invited lawsuits that bankrupted many parishes.

The Church has two missions.  She must always seek to rid Herself of those who put earthly concerns before Her.  At the same time, She must always attract those who understand there is something more important than making a safe bet.  The Church has never looked like a safe bet.

Abortion is murder.  Millions of murders occur because law-makers won't make laws against it.  Many of those law-makers profess to be Roman Catholics.  Yet, many bishops allow them to take Communion.

God hates abortion.  The Church hates abortion.  Why do some bishops allow Pro-abortion Politicians to take Communion?  Why would someone want to join and/or follow a Church that doesn't toe Her own line?

The only people who will do that are those humble enough to understand that we don't have anything better to do.

     Thank God.

                                                     Lies are big.

The best thing about being a Catholic Fundamentalist is the view.  As we get closer to God, we get to see all the lies swirling around below.  We also see some of God’s reasons for allowing liars to tell such lies.  The theory of “evolution”, for instance, is quickly understood as being based on the miraculously complicated program He installed to “weed out” those more interested in the world than in The Kingdom.

Such theories, even when believed by holy men and women, keep them, to some degree, from more fully appreciating the Power of The Programmer.

It’s such a joy to look at the evening news and understand that Imaginary Problem after Imaginary Problem is brought forth with the implication “This must be funded.” interwoven into every pronouncement.

Their world is a pile of scary lies designed and built by those who are not in The Kingdom.   Bogeymen are everywhere.  Fear predominates.    Shaking souls are afraid.  Food, air, water, matter, and energy have all become fearful things.  Each “problem” requires regulation.  Regulation demands inspection.   Regulators and Inspectors are hired, and paid great sums.  Bribing Regulators and Inspectors becomes an institutionalized process.

Progress, to those of us who understand The Program a little more, was programmed into being to provide ever-newer sources of fear.  "Radiation in the basement!"  "Particulates in the air!"

All such lies are told to protect cash flows.  Our job, as Catholic Fundamentalists, is to make ourselves skilled at seeing cause and effect.  When information is provided by a worldly source, we condition ourselves to ask immediately, “Who benefits?”  Romans who moved into The Kingdom asked “Qui Bono?” as they observed and assessed the world around them.

There is a danger.  As we become adept at identifying the process by which others tell lies and profit thereby, we see that we are remarkably well-equipped to do the same thing.

In fact, understanding Catholic Fundamentalism automatically gives us a greater skill to manipulate Programmed entities.  It is supposed to be that way.  As we grow, we must forego ever-greater temptations for far greater rewards.

The most revolutionary thought that can be thunk.

Start by considering the notion that God can program beings and things into existence.  As that thought spreads throughout our mind, it cleanses.  It leads to the idea that "God programmed angels as sub-programmers to put the world in place."

Suddenly, what many see as a "twenty billion year old earth" is, instead, seen as the product of a rapidly written program downloaded a few thousand years ago.

We see that all the layers of rock, seams of coal, and pools of oil were all programmed in place for a simple reason.  The complicated universe gave us free will.

If we have used our free will to progress to the point that we see God as Programmer, (in Aquinian terms, The Unprogrammed Programmer), and are exploring some aspect of Catholic Fundamentalism, then we have arrived upon the fringes of the Company of the Saints.  We have gotten to one of the high places from which salvation is not just possible, but dimly visible.

A few seconds after we realize that God can program particles, all the miracles there ever were make sense.  Then, we are overwhelmed by The Programmer’s power.  If The Programmer just changes a tiny bit of code, any one of us is suddenly healthy, sick, alive, dead, rich, poor, jobless, employed, orphaned, widowed, happy, or sad.  We know how easy it is to flick a finger.

It is frighteningly easy for The Programmer to make immense changes in our lives.  "Turn then, Most Gracious Advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us", is a prayer in which we ask the Mother of God to intercede for us, knowing that her power with God can persuade Him to change things with only the merest glance.

That is why the Operating Instructions, passed on to us in the form of Holy Scripture, inform us that “the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord.”  Increasing our awareness of His ability to program in many dimensions makes us especially fearful of offending Him, the Programmer of Programmers.

                                             Drugs and bell curve left-siders.

People who take drugs usually don’t do well in life.  Most of them come from a long line of people on the left side of the bell curve.  More damaging, most of them come from broken homes.  They have lost the desire to care about their own futures, so they don't.

Hopeless people in inner cities, suburbs, small towns, and rural areas are all inclined to take drugs.  They are not so much “bad” or “weak” as they are without jobs and hope.  Drug use is merely a measure of hopelessness.  Drug users are not helped by self-righteous pomposities who sneer:  "Why don't they just get jobs?"

Many on the left side of the bell curve can't get jobs because there are no jobs for them.  Automation in agriculture, manufacturing, and the home have made those of limited abilities too expensive to hire.

Drugs are about the only thing they can find that makes their hopeless lives more bearable.  It is wrong to put bell curve left-siders in jail simply for hiding from their own helplessness and hopelessness.    We must not treat them as the English did the Irish, who realized: "They hate us, just for bein' what we are."

Drug-takers hate to see how sad and futureless their lives are. The most desperate commit crimes to get enough to buy the drugs to hide their hopelessness.  Then, they are arrested, and “put away”.  Their families are further impoverished by the drug user’s jail terms.  They, too, are made more hopeless every day, therefore more likely to become addicted to the same escape from hopelessness.

Those who only wanted to avoid the agony of despair are often sent to a brand new jail that's far, far away.  For a long, long time.

The brand new jail was built to “provide jobs” in some outlying county, a hundred miles away.  Most rural manufacturing businesses have relocated to countries with cheap labor.  Often, the only new jobs for rural workers are in the new prisons.  Their rural, far-off location magnifies hopelessness by making family visits impossible.

“Successful drug bust!” blare the news/photo-ops.  After each one, the price of drugs on the street goes up.  More people are beaten, shot, and robbed.  More addicts will be caught and sent to the new jails.   Soon, the new jails, too, will be full.  Other outlying counties want new jails.  “We want to get our fair share.” becomes the cry of others wanting to profit from less fortunate people who try to escape hopelessness.

Drugs are just bits of compounded chemicals.  Each dose only cost a few pennies to make.  Wouldn't it be better to just give free drugs to addicts, or sell them for a dime, and let them go home to sleep, or do whatever they do?

It is heartlessly cruel to have the hopeless hounded down, cuffed, and thrown into jails for ever-longer sentences.  The bell curve left-siders' poor minds become ever dimmer.  They aren't smart enough to avoid the vastly more intelligent police from the center and right side of the bell curve.  "Fighting crime", when it comes to drug users, is really just shooting fish in a barrel.

Drugs are not as bad for society as is the increasing hard-heartedness and self-righteousness of those who enjoy profiting from the misery of pitiful addicts.   It is better to love our neighbor than to destroy him.  His only "crime" is to self-medicate with the only thing he can find that helps him get through the long days with hopelessness the only thing in sight.

                                           Drugs and bell curve right-siders.

Drug addicts provide a handy target for the self-righteous.  “Look at those disgusting drug addicts.  They are so-o-o disgusting!”

Catholic Fundamentalists think the most disgusting person is usually the most self-righteous.  Those who profit from the sad addictions of the hopeless by ruining their lives are far more despicable than many of those whom the law proclaims to be “bad”.

Those who abuse drug addicts often become addicted to feelings of superiority that make them glow with pride as their brains are flooded with their own kind of dopamine.

Worse, they are addicted to the notion that their self-righteousness can “help” by putting addicts in jail, forcing them to attend classes, making them pray to a God they cannot understand, or be brutalized in some other way.  They do not understand how utterly hopeless the drug addict is.

The self-righteous deny the humanity of their fellow man.  “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.” they say with the smug self-righteousness that is the hallmark of their smirking, jack-booted breed as prison doors slam shut on their less able brothers.

And a simple mind that could enjoy a limited life for a few dollars a day is turned into an ever-angrier, ever more desperate, ever more hate-filled mind.

But, he's guaranteed to be re-arrested and re-incarcerated many, many times.  Self-righteousness and full employment for some.

Despair, destruction, and death for others.

Brutus was about as bad as one could be.

Many readers wonder why Dante reports that Brutus is one of the three people in the very deepest part of The Inferno.  Why was Brutus, a comparative nobody in history, sent to share that most awful of eternal agonies with Judas and Mohammed, two of the most well-known enemies of The Church?

Brutus led the group of assassins who killed Caesar in the Senate.  But, several treasonous people killed various Roman emperors.  How did Brutus earn the greatest of all eternal punishments?

God programs and downloads each one of us.  He programmed Caesar, and downloaded him into Rome.  Caesar was like a super-farmer, sending huge plows into pagan soil to make it ready for cultivation.  He ploughed up Gaul, enslaving and killing several million people.  In the process, he utterly eviscerated the local religions and their often murderous practices.

Rome, and most notably Caesar, had made Spain, France, and Northern Italy ready to receive the word of Christ.   Catholic Fundamentalists today see Caesar as God’s unwitting seedbed preparer.  His land-clearing projects let the seed of Christian faith take root and grow for millennia to come.

After a short stint in Rome, Caesar planned his next conquest.  He intended to attack Rome’s enemies to the East of Turkey and Syria, and brutally pacify the peoples there as he had the Gauls.  When that job was done, Caesar planned to march his triumphant army (what other kind of army would Caesar have had?) back home over the top of the Black Sea, and plow through Germany before returning to Italy.

The region from the Indus to the Baltic would have been made as ready to receive Christianity as had been North Africa, Palestine, Spain, and Gaul.

The army was already marching East for the great operation.  Caesar had some unfinished business in the city.  He planned to leave Rome on March 20, 44 B.C. and catch up to the troops moving East.

Brutus arranged for Caesar’s murder on the Ides, March 15 of that same year.  The treachery of Brutus was the horrible crime that kept Caesar from preparing the mid-east for God and His Church.  Brutus kept millions of souls for generations to come from being saved.

From what Dante tells us about Brutus’s eternal fate, he’s getting what he deserves. He will continue to do so.

Enemies next door.  They're coming.  Gotta love 'em.

Today, wars are not fought as much between nations as between the classes within a nation.  The parasitic class is ever at war with the productive class.

America's productive class faces the fate of the most productive people in Cuba and Venezuela.  When the parasitic class takes over, all our property will be confiscated.  Frankly, a case can be made that we have too much, and we're too attached to it.

A lot of us will be jailed.  Many, executed.  It won't be fun, but at least we won't be bored.

Those who survive will be reduced to serf and peon level.  We will be kept hungry, un-medicated, and spied upon.  That's what they do, after the pretense of "concern" can be done away with.

The beginnings of tyranny are similar.  France just hired 175,000 “Smoke Police” to "blend in and photograph" all the evil smokers.  England is doing the same.  Soon, these inspectors will take charge of the traditional police agencies which will be bypassed, and neutralized, if they get in the way.

The freedom-haters have big plans for us.  Guns will be the first thing to be taken.  Then, everything else.

Where do these people come from?  Next door.  They're people who are sullen, unhappy, angry, jealous, greedy, envious, lustful, lazy, proud, gluttonous, and perverted.

Why do they do so much damage to as many people as possible as often as they can?  They hate.

Catholic Fundamentalists understand that it's far better to be killed by them than become them.

If it were the last German child?  No matter.

In 1937, Adolph Hitler said, "The Youth of today is ever the people of tomorrow. For this reason we have set before ourselves the task of inoculating our youth with the spirit of this community of the people at a very early age, at an age when human beings are still unperverted and therefore unspoiled. This Reich stands, and it is building itself up for the future, upon its youth.  And this new Reich will give its youth to no one, but will itself take youth and give to youth its own education and its own upbringing."

German families are still forced to educate their children as if Adolph Hitler were still in charge.  This week, the German State took children away from parents who chose to educate them at home.

With a birthrate falling so low that the German people are dying out, you would think the government would encourage parents to have children, no matter where they are taught.

To the modern statist, life is less important than the state.  Freedom less than obedience.

Take this leftover Nazi practice to its logical conclusion.  If there were one German family left, with one German child, and the parents tried to teach that child at home, the last German child would be taken from them.

Do people have children because they want to glorify the German State?  Obviously not, because the German State is dying.

Does exercising the power of the German State encourage people to have children?  Obviously not, because the German State is dying.

Does the German State wish to cherish and protect its people?  Obviously not, because the German State is dying.

As regularly as sunrise, when European states renounce The Roman Catholic Church, the Holy Spirit leaves.  Death, madly cackling, takes the thrones upon which once sat a thousand years of Catholic Kings.

                                              Love.  Hate.  Our choice.

When we boil decisions down to their essence, we are left with love and hate.  Each of us makes a choice between the two dozens of times a day.  "I can do this, or leave it for my spouse, co-worker, state employee, etc.." is a frequently made choice.  Most of us think we are only affecting those affected by our choice.  We affect ourselves, as well, often to a far greater degree.

Each choice should make us ask, "Am I on the side of love or hate?"

To see which feeling predominates in our lives, consider our spontaneous reactions.  When we find ourselves saying "Good.  Serves them right." when something bad happens to others, we have moved toward hate.  If the same occurrence finds us saying, "Oh, I hope no one was hurt." we have sided with a kind and loving God.

We know that we want to be treated with love and kindness.  Simple consistency demands that we then treat others the same way.  Appreciating consistency is, in itself, an act of love.

After deciding that love is more important than hate, we must train ourselves to walk in the paths of Godliness.  "I would not want a judge looking at my transgression and saying, 'More punishment would serve him right.'  To expect mercy, I must become merciful."

Then, pilgrim, we're on our way!

The sliding  scales of love and hate.

It is useful to picture love and hate on a scale.  The earthly organization most totally based on love of God and man is the Roman Catholic Church.  It is pro-God and pro-life.

The Communist Party, on the other hand, has Lenin proudly telling us that hatred is its essence.  Communists are against God and for abortion.  Communism is at one end of a line, The Church is at the other.

Most of us fall somewhere between a holy monk and a Communist Party official.  We tend to move between the two extremes.  In the same day, in the same hour, a person can both pray to God for help and immediately thereafter think about ways to wipe his enemies off the face of the earth.

In the overview, our temporary transgressions usually have time to be corrected.  In the midst of thinking up ways to get rid of enemies, we may suddenly cry, "God, help me to love my neighbor!"  Or, we may say, "Jesus said 'Sell your cloak and buy a sword.', so I'm following at least part of His teaching."

Regardless, we must look to God to be our guide.  The Communist, on the other hand, thinks only of killing and thinks he's enlightened if he bothers to look for reasons to do so.

The socialist only thinks of taxing.  Killing, to the socialist, is just a way to get people to pay their taxes.  Since killing is worse than stealing, those who die as socialists are not in as agonizing a place within the Inferno.  Still, they burn.

The trick is this:  To avoid eternal pain, we must be on God's side of the scale when our soul departs from its place in the clay.  The Devil hates to lose a soul because it repented at the moment of death.  Everything He does is designed to prevent that from happening, usually by making us so inured to sin, and so disrespectful to God and His Church that we don't think either is important enough to worry about.

If the Devil can make a person say "I'm basically a good person." often enough, he wins.
