Highlands, lowlands, and slopes.
Scotland is a metaphor for life. At any given time, each of us is either in the highlands, the lowlands, or on the slopes that connect them. Spiritually, the highlands are near the Throne of God, the lowlands sink to the lowest circles of Hades, and we on the slopes are either heading one way or the other.
We travel upward on a straight and narrow path. Ascent is often difficult and aid usually invisible. Often, we only make headway by crawling.
The descending slopes are broad, designed to be easily strolled and strutted down. There is music, entertainment, good food, and drink to be found in the many comfortable pavilions along the way. Oddly, many who stroll down the hill think some who race past them are wrong. "He's going too fast.", they say about those who race past them down the slope, even as they maintain their leisurely pace downwards.
All those going downhill are aware that they can turn around, and head for the highlands. They usually say, "In a minute, maybe I will." They rarely can summon the strength to turn around, and leave those with whom they enjoy their pleasant travels for what they know is going to be a long, lonely, often painful journey away from all they hold dear. Each of them believes that the ascent is more difficult than it actually is.
Some who study the highlands, lowlands, and slopes have concocted an idea that the spirit can ascend to the highlands while the body continues in the other direction. Others, of a similar ilk, say that a person who's strolling towards the lowlands, and knows he should be trying to ascend, is given a "free pass" uphill when his travel-time runs out, simply because he "knew" what was right, even if he didn't do it.
Catholic Fundamentalists say that one's soul, mind, and body have to be moving upwards together for the soul to be able to spend eternity in the highlands. That is the safest assumption to make.

Leaving politics.
Many are rightfully worried about the state of the economy and the insane tinkering that supposedly brilliant thinkers are doing. We see one bail-out after another, all of them carefully avoiding doing anything real to solve the problems.
All their tinkering either raises taxes or lessens the value of money. Such facts are studiously ignored while platitudes and excuses are embraced. "We have to really jolt the economy!" the experts say, oblivious to the meaning of their words, but seeming, truly seeming, to be doing something.
The saner souls among them realize that no government program has ever worked, and that no government program can work. Government programs are invariably designed to increase the power of the government that sponsors them, and that is the only thing they are designed or allowed to do.
When we see them tinker and blunder, and then do it on ever larger scales again and again, we understand that they are pretending to help while they and their friends prosper from special favors. The greater danger to their souls is not that they lie, but that they lie about the lies. As the process of "helping" continues, their poor souls sink farther from truth, which is soon invisible to them, obscured in the fog of their lies about their lies.
Many citizens are outraged by the lunacy and the damage done. Some become angry at them for stealing. Such anger wastes a great deal of time and energy. We may as well try to teach a snake to smile as to teach a lost soul to value truth when that truth involves losing both money and status.
Most of the water in a waterfall is in turbulence as it falls ever farther. But, within the flow are many, many bubbles that just float along, often rising above the rocks and into the air itself, becoming one with the clean clearness above.

Underground, on the ground, above the ground.
We see holes in the ground made by animals that live beneath the surface. After a snow, tracks made by animals that live on the surface are visible. Birds, bats, and insects fly through the air.
All these animals are replicating programs living in and on other programs that He programmed for our benefit as an allegory of spiritual reality. We can let our souls live underground, in the dark, cold dampness. Or, we can let our souls soar toward God in Heaven. Most of us just move around on the surface, sometimes going down, sometimes going up, but mostly held where we are by the inclinations we've chosen.
Eagles seem to soar the highest, and badgers appear to be among the fastest, deepest diggers. Deer just stay on the surface. Most of us are neither eagles nor badgers, but, like the deer we tend to travel on the ground in groups, sometimes leaping an occasional fence.
The dimmest among us have the ability to draw closer to God. There is no correlation between intelligence and salvation because it would not be fair to have the vast majority of us automatically excluded. The least intellectual are as able to love God and their neighbors as the most intellectual. They usually do a better job of obeying Him than those clever, clever people who think they can outsmart Him.

Booms, busts, and the growth of government.
Governments love "booms". We recently saw, for instance, a "boom" in housing. It was fueled by those who wanted "more fairness in housing". To produce that boom, they forced banks to lend money to people to buy houses they couldn't afford. New housing was built, people moved into their new houses. Then, many of them couldn't pay their mortgages.
When enough people had been foreclosed upon, and enough banks were on the verge of failure, the same people who wanted "more fairness in housing" quickly developed plans by which they could lend money directly to homeowners in foreclosure, and a trillion more dollars is being shoveled into the deep hole they caused.
Private financing, developing, and building have been crowded out of the market by those who wanted "more fairness in housing". They were elated to have a chance to gain control of more of the housing industry.
A similar "boom" recently exploded in commodities. From mines, farms, and processors, prices went to all-time highs. Then, over-production began, and ran into the collapsing credit markets drained by the "more fairness in housing" groups. The need for, and prices of, commodities began to plummet. Bailouts are being considered for many industries, each with strings attached to new, larger government agencies.
This has been happening since Babylon put in the first water-distribution canals to replace small farms and small farmers with large-scale agricultural production. Any source of supply, at first from small entities, emerges to fill some need. Many find employment. Then, large scale production and automation kicks in with its usual relentlessness. Soon, as in farming, one or two people are able to produce what ninety were once needed to do. This makes huge profits for those who best accumulate the funds to automate. As automation takes place, the vanished jobs have to be replaced.
Governments actually have little to do. In order to provide the illusion of usefulness, which increases their power and salaries, officials and agencies pander to any identifiable bloc whose members are desperate enough to trade freedom for security. Those unemployed by automation, centralization, and cheap foreign labor in every age, whether millers put out of work by huge, water-powered Roman grain mills, water and waste carriers made unemployed by aqueducts, or unionized auto workers made unnecessary by robots in automated automobile plants, quickly put pressure on their government to use its taxing authority to provide them with income.
Every boom produces a wave of employment. The inevitable bust destroys those jobs. Then, government gets bigger. As long as governments do not destroy the manufacturing capacity that is their ultimate support, it really doesn't make much difference, except for the pain caused to the unemployed. Unfortunately, governments never know when to stop meddling, and usually end up destroying the people they pretend to serve.

Ups and downs.
The things we own, use, and consume are all produced by processes that require ever more complex automation systems. As processes evolve and centralize, output increases while using less labor. Economies, companies, and individual careers are continually affected by an unending series of "market corrections".
Governments do not have ups and downs in the same way. For governments, there are far fewer "market corrections". Most governments are unable to reduce themselves without losing a war or revolution. Governmental "market corrections" can be quick and brutal, as WWI and WWII, during which less powerful governments were destroyed. Reductions in government are sometimes slow and brutal, as the endless chipping away of the Roman and Russian Empires.
While businesses in the freer markets tend to become more efficient, Governments tend to become less efficient, though vastly larger. Some governments fix this by getting rid of unemployed people. Some kill or imprison their undesirables, making both seem acceptable by propagandists for euthanasia and "three strikes and you're out!" legislation. Others force unemployed people to emigrate to wealthier countries, impoverishing the people in those countries while reducing their own problems. Many governments like to receive immigrants. Immigrants do not tend to criticize, and their votes can be bought far more cheaply.
Those who enjoy the freedom to do things tend toward the freer markets. Those who value security move into government. Once there, they are always in favor of raising taxes on those around them. It is hard for them to love their neighbors.

An extremely important chart:
This is one of the most important charts that's ever been produced. We can see how severely the economy has been dislocated over the past few years as special interests, mostly under the "fairness" umbrella, have waged an unbelievably successful war on the citizens of the United States. The nearly trillion dollars that's been spent on the bank bailout shows us just how huge the economic attack on us has been. The enemies within, primarily the far left in Congress, have cost us more than all the wars against national and international socialists in the past century.
This reflects how badly America has been impoverished by our huge balance of payments outflow, primarily for energy. The trillion dollar outflow for energy in the 18 months preceding the bailout was not available for Americans to use to pay off debts, and this is our response.
The trillion dollars has been artificially recovered, by printing more money to keep the system afloat. Funding for NASA continues, while we all are impressed with how much good it has done for us.

Fixing the economy.
As automation and centralization continue, more private-sector jobs are lost. Where there were twenty banks, there is now one. The same employment reductions exist in every private-sector field of endeavor. Demands to "Do something!" echo through legislatures.
The jobs lost because of efficiencies are restored by making things less efficient. A handful of workers in one atomic power plant can provide all the power needed for light, heat, manufacturing, and transportation in an entire state. Not one nuclear plant, for instance, has been built in the past thirty years, and there's a desire to dismantle the existing ones.
An army of "green workers" has been proposed. These useless jobs are designed to solve imaginary problems, and will keep a few hundred thousand people employed. They will be doing, essentially, nothing. Costs will continue to escalate, our money will be further devalued, and we will all be poorer.
As they destroy those around them, they will be convinced that they are "fixing" the economy.

Original Programming.
When we look at birds, the first things we see are the feathers. When The Programmer programmed the "Feather Angels", He gave them an extremely complicated job. "Re-program some of the Scale Programs that I had downloaded a few minutes ago, and turn them into feathers while you're reprogramming reptiles into warm-blooded animals that can fly. "
They did. From the soft down of the goose to the ostrich plume to the peacock tail to the stiff quill pen, feathers are parts of an amazing program that keep hummingbirds and albatrosses aloft. From internal structures of feathers to their outermost surfaces, the "Feather Angels" programmed some of the most beautiful, complicated, and mysterious objects in The Creation Program.
Catholic Fundamentalists are impressed by all that The Programmer had His sub-programmers program, but few things are as impressive as feathers.

The speed of creation.
Catholic Fundamentalists believe that God, The Unprogrammed Programmer, can program actual particles, compile them into structures and beings, then have them move through time. We humans, with free will, are His most complicated programs on earth.
It's hard for most to see that He could have programmed and downloaded The Creation Program in a week, as the Book of Genesis records. That's not a hard concept for Catholic Fundamentalists to grasp. It's such a
revolutionary idea, understanding God's power, rather than always dragging Him down to our level, that many are put off by it.
One way to visualize it is to consider Henry Ford. When he started in business, there were dozens of small businesses making cars. He understood that he needed huge assembly lines, reliable work forces, and guaranteed sources of supply. In a few decades, his huge factories were able to turn out automobiles at the rate of one every minute or so. When he began the process, in a garage, he had a vision of what he wanted to do, of the machines and factories he needed, and of the distribution system that had to be put in place.
Over several decades, Ford developed every process he needed for the mass production and distribution of automobiles. He integrated those processes, and showed himself to be one of the most productive men in history.
If he'd had more financing, he might have been able to do it in half the time. If he'd had more intelligence, he might have been able to reduce that time by half. With unlimited resources, he might have been able to do everything he did in, say, ten years.
God, being far, far more powerful than Henry Ford, had the ability to program spiritual beings, angelic sub-programmers, that He needed to program all the "factories" He wanted. He programmed the sun as an "energy factory". He programmed the earth and all of its systems much the same way, as a collection of "factories" that would produce everything necessary for human beings to have free will. It took Him six
days.
As we Catholic Fundamentalists grow in understanding of that process, we tend to take the things, beings, people, and systems that He programmed less seriously than we take He Who programmed them. We who consider a being as powerful as The Unprogrammed Programmer quickly come to the correct conclusion that each of us is but a tap on the "erase button in the sky" away from destruction and damnation. Truly, "the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord."
We know Who to be afraid of. We also know that the greatest miracle in all that He programmed is that He loves us.

Vanity blinds.
When we Catholic Fundamentalists think of the Unprogrammed Programmer, we automatically embrace a phrase that's easy for people of our largely unbelieving generation to understand. As we develop within our own minds the verbal structure that shows that it's reasonable to conceive of a God Who can program particles, compile them into systems and beings, and have His great work recorded in Programming Logs written in the Iron Age, we see that He is a God for all the times He programmed.
Overweening vanity leads some people to believe that they, themselves, are to be worshipped. That vanity keeps them from even wanting to comprehend a loving God Who has the vast power to have programmed everything there is out of some sort of 3-D fractals that He programmed.
Their old question, "If there is a God, why is there evil?", a question whose believed unanswerability comforts them in their apostasy, is easily answered with another question: "There are computer programs, so why are there viruses?"
At the same time we believe in The Programmer, we are simultaneously struck with the notion that there are viruses, seeking to destroy His programs. Those viruses chose to be viruses, they chose to be corrupters of systems, and they make it clear that The Programmer has programmed each of us with free will.
If we are blinded by vanity, we will not see that. We will not see much farther than the ends of our noses.

Programming spirits.
It's easy for Catholic Fundamentalists to understand how it's possible for The Unprogrammed Programmer to program three dimensional particles with 3-D Fractals. We can, using our programmed gift of imagination, get a feeling for how He complied them into particles reminiscent of the atoms on the Periodic Table.
After we visualize that in our minds, no matter how crudely, we can see how reasonable it is that He programmed many of those particles together, forming what we know as compounds. We human beings, of course, were programmed to be able to reprogram some of these particles to make things like bronze and polypropylene. Each successive age is able to better reprogram basic particles into increasingly complicated compounds.
We also understand that He would not have done this work Himself, any more than the Queen of England washes the palace windows. This is where Catholic Fundamentalism has made one of its biggest breakthroughs, in this conclusion: He programmed Sub-Programmers with nine levels of ability. In the Middle Ages, they were called "Choirs of Angels". Some angels would program electrons and atoms, for instance, while others would, nearly instantly, compile them into sand as others compiled them into sandstone. The same thing happened with iron, mercury, and all the other elements that form the worlds around us.
We do not, without Programming Assistance, have the ability to see the Angelic Programmers on our own. The receptors that can see them are there, but they do not require the optic nerve to send information about them into the brain. When a person sees an angel, he may be seeing and/or hearing a being that appears directly in his mind. A blind and deaf person could sense an angel as well as one of us with perfect sight and hearing.
Sub-Programmers still work, even though the Creation Program that they downloaded is largely complete. Many of them work to program new human beings. At the moment of conception, these powerful spiritual forces program the person that will be born with every skill and ability that person is designed to have.
The unanswered questions that we have about the spiritual beings He programmed will be solved at death, when our own souls join with those spirits we have followed during our life on earth.
Hopefully, we have used the free will that has been programmed within us to have followed the "right" programs.

"program" is also a following word that makes things clearer.
One thing Catholic Fundamentalists do with greater frequency as their involvement with Catholic Fundamentalism increases is to add the word "program" to many nouns. When we hear alarmists talking about "weather", we think to ourselves, "weather program". When we think of trees, we think "tree program". Animals are "animal programs", birds are the "bird program" therein, and "bluebirds" are the beautiful "bluebird program" within the "bird program". The complicated program that causes the bluebirds' feathers to absorb every color while reflecting mostly blue is the first thing we see of the bluebird program. By adding "program" to each noun, we continually remind ourselves that The Unprogrammed Programmer programmed all.
There are, of course, two kinds of programs. The first, and most basic, are God's programs. There are also "human programs". A bicycle is a human program. A car is a more complicated human program. A jet plane is a still more complicated human program. Lunar modules are the most complicated things that humans have programmed in history.
All that human beings do and make are first programmed in our own minds when we program "an idea", which rearranges parts of God's programs. We can bring an idea for a new widget into existence as we draw on, combine, and alter, miniscule parts of God's basic programs. He wrote and downloaded them so that we, who were programmed with the ability to do crude programming of our own (which is what "made in His image" means), would have something to do.
On the header of this site, there's a "books and excerpts" section. In it, one may download "New Road to Rome" at no charge. It expands considerably on thinking of things as programs, all of which are woven together with a magnificent complexity that lets us see the fearful power of The Unprogrammed Programmer.

The Catholic Fundamentalist bird watcher has many questions.
Yesterday, the Bird Programs were mentioned. Each species of bird is a replicating program written to take advantage of some part of The Programmer's larger program. We can get an idea of where each bird fits by looking at its beak program.
Some beaks are programmed to penetrate wood and extract stages of various Insect Programs living within. Other beaks are long and flexible enough to extract sustenance from flowers. A few beaks are programmed to scoop up fish from water. Other beaks are designed to tear apart dead animals to keep the Earth Program from noxious odors. Some beaks are programmed to crush hard seeds.
Where does Beak Programming come from? Do one or more "Beak Angels" work in a celestial design studio to program them? Do the "Bird-programming Angels" give the "Beak Department" specific orders for the beaks they need? Or, does each species of bird have its own Angelic Sub-Programmer whose mission it is to design and redesign the entire bird so that it continually fits in with alterations in the Earth Program?
Do all the Angelic Sub-Programmers who produce and maintain the Bird Programs fit in a design studio far smaller than the ball of a ballpoint pen? Smaller than the head of a pin?

The Camel/Gnat Salvation Ratio.
Catholic Fundamentalists always look for hard numbers in Scripture to help quantify things. Matthew 23;24 is a typical case in point. "Ye blind guides, which strain out a gnat (from what they are drinking), and swallow a camel." describes those whom Jesus condemned for hypocrisy.
We conclude that the Second Person of the Holy Trinity has told us that anyone who about a moral peccadillo the size of a gnat and then swallows an immorality the size of a camel has lost the possibility of salvation. This seems to be a mathematical formula by which we may measure exactly the amount of sin that is mathematically certain to result in damnation.
One hundred thousand gnats weigh a pound. A camel weighs 1,500 pounds. So, the Catholic Fundamentalist calculates that the "The Gnat/Camel Ratio of Certain Damnation is 1 to 150,000,000".
The worst thing about democracy, from the point of view of soul-saving, is that it gives many, many political figures several terms filled with opportunities to spend one hundred and fifty million dollars without providing one dollar of real benefit to those from whom it was taken.
That same political figure, in the midst of wasting one hundred and fifty million dollars over and over again on useless programs will choose to go to a filling station that will sell gasoline for a couple of cents less per gallon than a station down the road. That official has, of course, strained at a gnat while swallowing no end of camels.

More on camels and salvation.
Matthew 19;24: "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven". Difficulties understanding this passage led to an early conclusion that inspired much of Catholic Fundamentalism.
When an aspiring young businessman read about the camel and the needle's eye after having made a personal commitment to take Scripture literally, he was discouraged, and nearly gave up his plans for commercial endeavor. "What's the point of being rich if I can't get to Heaven?" was his obvious question.
After thinking, and praying, about the problem, he felt a voice within his mind ask, "How would you put a camel through the eye of a needle?" His best answer, "Incinerate it, dilute the ashes, and pump them through a small hypodermic needle that would fit through the eye of a needle. It might take a couple of months."
The invisible questioner said that a camel put through a needle's eye in such a way would no longer be able to walk, and would have lost the essence of "camelness". "Well, then", the young man said, "I would make a needle a block long, the eye of which would be large enough to allow a small camel to pass."
"If you can't sew a button on a shirt with the needle, it isn't a real needle.", the questioner replied. The young man was stumped.
"Here's what you do.", came into his mind. "You take an egg from a female camel, and fertilize it. Then, put the fertilized egg, floating in amniotic fluid, onto a microscope slide. While you are watching, you can take a sterilized needle and pass its eye over the fertilized egg. It will be similar to a ping-pong ball going through a basketball hoop. Then, put the fertilized egg back into the womb of the mother camel."
The young man marveled. "When it is born, it will be a camel that has gone through the eye of a needle!"
He went on to start his business, and spent several decades applying the thought to developing Catholic Fundamentalism.

The real anti-semites.
From Moses to the Maccabees to Marx to Madoff, many Jewish people have long recognized that those most dangerous to themselves are rogue members of their own group. Marx, whose anti-Jewish comments are legendary, set in motion the pseudo-intellectual justifications for socialism that crystallized into reactions against it that wiped other Jews out of wide areas of Europe. Many leading Russian Communists were Jewish. Many of them, and their families, were wiped out by later generations of Communists.
In our own time, Bernard Madoff wiped out the savings and assets of tens of thousands of Jewish families and charities. "How could one of our own do this to us?", is the anguished question asked repeatedly.
It was bad enough that Mr. Madoff destroyed tens of thousands of individual people and families. He didn't stop there. He also ravaged Jewish charities, wiping out their assets without a twinge of guilt. His sons, who reportedly turned him in to authorities, may not have been the innocents they portray themselves to be. It's not improbable that the three of them decided it would be best if father took the blame, while the sons and other associates could plead, "We didn't know. We just didn't know. Really, we didn't know!"
Few will believe anything any of them say. The fifty billion dollar fraud was just too great to have been perpetuated by one person, working alone.
If the fraud had been perpetrated upon them by David Duke, or some other obvious racist, cries of "Anti-Semite!" would fill the airwaves. Oddly, that's not happening now, in the aftermath of the greatest looting of Jewish property since the Third Reich.
As we explore the reasons why Mr. Madoff is not called an "anti-semite", we cannot help but draw interesting conclusions.

Time to buy gold?
There was some drop in the price of gold today. As the market hits its low, or near-low, stocks may now be a better investment than gold, which is never the safe investment that many believe it to be.
Many of us are old enough to remember the Hunt Brothers' attempt to control the silver market during The Carter Administration. People realized that an old, silver dime was worth more than a freshly printed "Carter Dollar". Many preferred to be paid in one silver dime rather than one paper dollar. A growing number of people who preferred real silver to paper "Carter Dollars" provided a real threat, not to reality, but to the system. A ten thousand dollar car could be purchased for a thousand dollars worth of silver dimes, a five dollar haircut for five old dimes.
The Carter Administration was worried that more people would start using the old silver coinage, of which there was then a lot more around, instead of their fake money. So, they changed the laws several times to destroy the Hunt's holdings. Changes in laws drove the price of silver from $85.00/oz to a few dollars/oz.
It's easy to see that any government can do the same thing with the price of any commodity. The Roosevelt Administration declared "war on gold" in the mid-thirties. First, they decreed that gold was worth twenty dollars an ounce. Then, men were sent to homes, banks, and businesses and confiscated all but "collectors' coinage", forcibly exchanging it for paper money.
Then, when they'd taken all the gold from private owners, and said they put it in Fort Knox, the Roosevelt Administration decided that gold was now worth $35.00/oz. They nearly doubled the value of their gold reserves by a simple decree. That allowed them to print endless reams of paper money for any number of progressive projects.
Any government can do that at any time. That fear of confiscation, more than anything, tends to keep a lid on gold prices. Few are going to pile up pounds and pounds or tons and tons of gold, knowing that it can be forcibly taken from them at whatever price their government decides to pay.
Mining advancements are also a lid on price. Modern mines and refineries are more automated than ever. Production costs, except for bribes to governments, are comparatively lower than at any time in history, except for the occasional discovery of surface gold in large quantities. When gold prices go up, more new mines are opened and old mines are re-opened. The flow of gold from the ground to market increases with remarkable speed, devaluing holdings with amazing alacrity.

The last line before the Epilogue of Revelations:
When speaking of who will be allowed into Heaven, St. John sums up the entirety of all the Scripture that precedes this final line:
"These others must stay outside (of Heaven): dogs, fortune tellers and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone of false speech and false life."
This passage tells us that there are seven kinds of people, or people who behave in one or more of seven sinful ways, who will not be allowed into Heaven. It is, as the last line of The Bible, one of the most instructive.
"Dogs" probably refers to those who eagerly follow whatever master gives them scraps of programmed entities. "Fortune tellers" are those who claim to know what God is going to do. They overwhelm their chances of salvation with their own vanity.
"Fornicators" are those who have, or obsess about, sex outside of marriage. This appears to include both homosexuals and heterosexuals. "Murderers", it is reasonable to conjecture, include all those who support or participate in any death inflicted on anyone, all the way from abortificant birth control to the abortion of slightly older children to the old or sick killed by supporters of euthanasia.
"Idolaters" include those fixated on the things of Creation rather than upon He Who created, or programmed, all Creation.
". . . everyone of false speech and false life." will also be excluded. This would have to include those people who embrace the mindless fads by which the power-crazed are able to control their neighbors, reducing them to death and slavery.
The sanest thing any of us can do is to avoid being classified among the dogs, fortune tellers, fornicators, murderers, idolaters, and those of false speech and false life.

Does driving out demons still make sense?
The first four books of the New Testament give several examples of Jesus's ability to drive demons out of those whom they infest. In our time, many professionals have developed alternative ways to cure people, most lately with psycho-therapy, drugs, hypnosis, and counseling.
Those involved in modern therapies generally mock and malign those who believe that some mental illnesses, aberrations, and destructive behavior are caused by demons. When we consider how larger viruses affect our own computers, it's hard to be sure that we should discard the notion of demons.
Catholic Fundamentalists see God as The Programmer, and understand that there is a virus that organizes attacks on The Programmer and all His programs, of which each of us is one. When we consider how poorly our computers work when infected with a virus, we can also consider that the mistakes we make in our minds are the result of a spiritual virus, or a whole host of them, that corrupt our thinking.
The people who make computer viruses spread them around the internet with blinding speed, infecting every computer not adequately protected. In the same way, spiritual viruses try to corrupt our own thoughts, all of them united in trying to keep us away from God and goodness. The Sacraments are defenses against the spiritual viruses that try to corrupt our individual operating system every hour of every day. From the first Sacrament, Baptism, to the Last Rites, every Sacrament works to help us keep our individual operating systems working in accord with The Programmer so that we may spend eternity with Him.
We are continually being tempted to download viruses into our own processing systems. One of the best defenses is to realize that there are living viruses that want to destroy us and that we must be vigilant against them. More importantly, we should understand that the same power Jesus had to expel demons still exists, and is provided to us by The Roman Catholic Church. Her Sacraments still keep spiritual viruses away, which is why She continues to be hated by the virus and those who obey him.

Sin.
We can picture someone downloading a virus onto the internet where it makes its way into computers and causes them to malfunction. We can, with equal ease, imagine the virus sending out spiritual viruses to lead us into sin.
People tend to repeat sins, or want to do so. We each have recurring temptations that encourage us to think about doing bad things. That is the "first stage" of sin, and the time when we can best avoid it. Generally, each of us has sins with which we've become comfortable. They reappear in our minds, in the form of thoughts and desires, with disconcerting frequency.
When we give in to those temptations enough to turn them into words, and find ourselves talking about them, the sin has grown into a position that may take it past our inward ability to control it.
On the other hand, when preparing for Confession, we are required to talk about our sins. We have to spend some time considering them, considering what The Loving Programmer thinks of them, and what the results of those sins will be. So, we do have to think about what is tempting us, consider the ramifications of giving into the temptation, reflect upon how offensive it is to The Loving Programmer, and that approach to sin helps us resist it, at least until it reappears.
The sins that we've given into in the past are frequent visitors, both in thoughts, wishes, and dreams. Hopefully, we will never allow them to control our words or deeds.
Thinking about sin shows us how often temptations come to us. We spend our lives like fish, swimming among baited hooks. One to avoid the gaff is to keep our mouths shut.

Two cultures.
We are each given free will to choose our beliefs. A slight majority of Americans can be convinced to support the Culture of Death. These people generally do not understand, or want to understand, that they are being influenced by people who want to use them to further their desires to accumulate programmed entities. They are so driven by a desire to accumulate land and wealth that they refuse to accept the teachings of The Programmer, Program, and Holy Wireless Connector.
A smaller majority of Americans believes that God has programmed the physical universe simply to give us all free will. We are grateful that our own hearts and minds are open to Him, and understand that as long as we remain faithful, we will be able to spend eternity with Him forever.
There is communication between these two camps. When someone leaves the Culture of Death, there is, we are told, "rejoicing in Heaven".
Catholic Fundamentalism may help some souls make the journey into light. The simple notion that "God can program particles, compile them into systems and beings, and have them move through time, choosing to move either toward Him or away from Him." at least makes the firm belief in His Scripture seem less ridiculous to those who see the flaws and ultimate silliness of believing in the Culture of Death.
Seeing God as "The Unprogrammed Programmer", if it does nothing else, at least updates the Aquinian intellectual approach to God and lets us see His power more clearly in a time where ever fewer people do.

Word from the skies.
In the last few evenings, the Southwestern sky has had an unusual combination of symbols. The moon, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus have all been clustered together. Catholic Fundamentalists see that arrangement as Mary (who stands on the moon in many, many portrayals of Her) being close to the King of Heaven, whose power is symbolized by Jupiter.
Jupiter's messenger, Mercury, is either a powerful angel or a symbol of the Holy Wireless Connector. Venus, the "day bringer", is nearby.
Something is going to happen.

"Change."
It is an historical constant that any administration promising "Change" will always endeavor to change things for the worse. It is impossible for them to run a campaign based on "Improvements" because any real improvements will only put those focused on "Change" out of work. So, "change" is all we're left with.

Why no leftist ever wants problems to be solved.
Many on the left make a living from unsolved problems. Energy problems were solved decades ago, with nuclear reactors. The left will not allow them to be built. Private housing kept Americans in better living conditions than any people in history. The left is taking over housing, reducing us to ever lower living standards. America's medical care is the best in the world. The left wants to replace it with systems that have never worked, don't work, and can't work.
The problems caused by drug addiction would largely disappear by allowing drug stores to sell the few pennies worth of chemicals that addicts will otherwise rob and kill to obtain. Environmental "problems" are nearly all imaginary, and do nothing but profit those who want to replace safe, proven substances with their own, higher-profit replacements.
There's an overlooked reason for their love of problems. Catholic Fundamentalists picture people living on several bell curves. One of those bell curves shows where a person's intellectual abilities are. Those who are not smart enough to solve problems don't want to see problems solved. Allowing solutions to problems makes those who can't solve problems feel less able. So, they work diligently to maintain the premise that problems should not be solved.

The year is winding down. What good have we done with it?
When we are called to account for the way we've chosen to spend our lives, each of us has reason to fear. None of us are saints, so we have automatically fallen short of the perfection for which we imperfectly sought.
The most depressing thing we can do is look at what we've left undone. Nothing that we did was as perfect as it would have been if we'd worked harder, prayed more, loafed less, watched fewer hours of TV, wasted less time, and allowed ourselves to be distracted as much by the various programmed entities that exist only to distract us from The Loving Programmer.
Nearly every day for three years, this website has been putting forth a new way to think, speak, and write about God. Seeing Him as The Unprogrammed Programmer allows people of our time, in The Age of Electron Flow, to see His power more clearly. As soon as we realize that He can program three dimensional particles, or have His angelic Sub-Programmers do so for Him, and arrange them into systems and beings, we understand that every bit of Scripture makes perfect sense just as it is written.
We who move into Catholic Fundamentalism understand that it makes as much sense to believe in a God Who programmed all Creation in six days as it does to fall into the trap of believing in any compromises that diminish His ability. We can see that Jonah was in the whale, that Lazarus was brought back to life, that His programming is far, far above anything that science can describe.
So, if we've just explained to one other person that "God programs particles, compiles them into systems and beings and loves His free-will programs (that's us!).", we may have started a soul on a road to salvation that would have otherwise been missed.

Government's perennial job.
Catholic Fundamentalists understand that every government's prime function is to keep people off the streets. Babylonians had huge irrigation works to keep people busy. Egyptians built pyramids. Greeks erected temples. Romans, roads. The Chinese built walls. America put a man on the moon. These activities kept a lot of people off the street. When we travel, the most memorable things we see are all the ways that governments kept, and keep, their citizens too busy to overthrow them.
People who aren't kept busy make trouble. They have to be killed, put in jail, or be armed and sent to places to fight and kill other people who are being kept busy doing the same thing. The governments that could not do that are either destroyed by their own unemployed, or they are invaded and destroyed by others. So, governments learned that they had to have standing armed forces, to keep foreign ragamuffins from destroying them, and, at the same time keep people off their own streets.
When governments fail in their prime mission, wars begin. Governments that don't keep their people busy, busy, busy are destroyed. Usually, their people are killed or enslaved.
People in freer countries are always inventing and making things to save labor, another name for money. When they invent dishwashers, clothes washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, corn and cotton pickers, assembly lines, and robots, ever more people are put on the street. Schools, colleges, and universities exist to keep many who would otherwise be unemployed off the streets for whole decades of their lives.
Governments hate labor-saving devices, because they know that more people will have nothing to do. At the same time, inventions like machine guns and atomic bombs have the ability to quickly remove large numbers of people from the streets. Governments whose people can invent and make things that keep people off the streets have a tremendous advantage, so smarter countries try to have at least a few smarter people inventing and making things.
It keeps them off the street.
