How Catholic Fundamentalism helps spiritual digestion.
Before solid food can be digested to feed, fuel, and provide nutrients for growth, it has to be chewed. The human mechanisms for chewing are so complicated that any number of professions centered around chewing have developed. Orthodontists, oral surgeons, and several dental specialties all provide very good livings for their practitioners because chewing is so vitally important.
The mind, similar to the body, is also fed, but by the senses. Information is taken into the mind, "digested", and put into its proper place, to be drawn on as needed to help the mind make better decisions.
Ultimately, the soul directs these activities. It, too, is fed, but its ultimate origin and source of sustenance is the Living God Who programmed it. The soul who draws on that source will do well, but often, the mind objects. "I am not going to waste my time thinking about, much less obeying, something that doesn't exist.", it says often to itself and any who suggest obedience to Church and Scripture. There is no shortage of people and organizations who will help others avoid God or replace Him with something else.
So, one way to help a soul draw nearer to God is to provide it with a "chewable" concept of God so that the notion can be swallowed and digested, helping the soul to grow. Catholic Fundamentalism attempts, however crudely, to make the Kingdom of God more "chewable" by suggesting that God may be more easily seen as real and relating to us as The Unprogrammed Programmer. With this small thought, we can more readily conjecture that He has the power to program in many dimensions. He can program particles, arrange them into systems and beings, then have them move through time. In an age where so much depends on human programmers and programs, it is easier for many to see Him as The Unprogrammed Programmer.
He especially loves His human programs, each of whom was programmed with free will in a world that provides it for us. As the various stages of belief pass through us, we grow closer to Him. All of us begin with crude notions of Him and what He wants. Over time, those are refined to greater and greater belief. Thinking of ourselves as the most precious of programs in a vastly larger cosmos of other programs is a "digestible" beginning.

It's supposed to appear to be lunacy.
The early beliefs of the Jewish people were thought by Greeks, Romans, and others to be, in a word, "lunacy". Believing and passing on such bits of information that the Red Sea parted, that manna fell from the sky, and that similar miracles abounded separated the Jews from the people around them, earning them the label, "Lunatics".
The last person believed to be a prophet was Malachi. After Him, the Jewish establishment recognized no further embracing of lunacy. When John the Baptist appeared, professionals in the faith didn't know what to make of him. When he said, on seeing Jesus, "There is the Lamb of God.", those involved in the established cash flow funded by belief in earlier "lunacies" didn't want to see any more such things.
"We already believe in all the weird things we're able to believe.", they said. "No more!" Fortunately, the early believers were not dissuaded by those who wished to define and limit God's abilities by their own. Because of their great faith and courage, we now have the possibility to have our own souls spend eternity with the God Who programmed them and the universe in which we have been downloaded.

Alarm alert! New alarms sounding!
Now that we're in the midst of a summer with record cold temperatures, so frigid that even urban liberals are noticing, the fraud factory is concerned that their biggest alarm is losing credibility. When a huge lie begins to collapse of its own immense pile of falsehoods and contradictions, the smarter of the other side do not try to prop it up. They immediately move to new lies, ready and waiting in the wings to emerge on stage.
New alarms, or recycled old alarms, are rapidly increasing in all approved media outlets.
Obesity is now a leading false alarm that's being brought forth with renewed energy. Few people know that those who are overweight actually live longer than those of "ideal" weights. Those happy hefties who aren't "morbidly obese" a weight level that seems to kick in at about three hundred pounds, also recover more quickly from illnesses and operations. That fundamental truth won't be mentioned as the fraud factory strains to turn what's good for people into something "Bad! Unhealthful!"
Another alarm rapidly replacing the Global Warming lies is the perpetually popular "Plastic pollution of the Pacific" panic. A Texas-sized area of the Pacific Ocean is breathlessly said to be "so covered with plastic discards that fish and seabirds are being wiped out". Most of these alarms are accompanied by solemn announcements that include "the necessity to raise taxes on plastic bags". Curiously, high definition satellite photographs of this vast, dying wasteland, not far from Lemuria, the Pacific Atlantis, are unavailable.
Plastic bags, numbering in the billions, are easily taxed at checkout counters where people are lined up with money in their pockets, money that nanny tells us is "needed to study and solve the problem of plastic pollution in the Pacific Ocean". Big lies come from small, shrivelled souls.

Uh-0h.
Most of us think that we're basically honest people. But, when we examine something we've done that's wrong, we'll find near-automatic tendencies to make it less wrong, or, worse yet, right. Our excuses are followed by justifications. When we've done something wrong, an early reaction is to tell ourselves one or more of the following:
1. I didn't mean to do it.
2. It wasn't that bad.
3. The more I think about it, the less important I realize it to be.
4. In many ways, what I did wasn't really wrong at all.
5. A lot of people have done worse.
6. All things work together for good
7. I couldn't help it.
Each of these thoughts, and there are many more excuse-makers, is an indication that we have, in fact, done something wrong and are attempting to make it go away. There are, to be sure, gradations of wrong-doing. While we should not try to minimize or maximize what we have done wrong, we still should seek forgiveness and try to do better.
As a general rule, the more we have to justify having done something, the worse it was. The only thing that should come out of wrongs are repentance, recompense, and rehabilitation.

Seniority, blessing and curse.
Ideally, every organization has the ideal person in each position. But, experience is valuable, so those with seniority often hold positions for which others would be more qualified. When a new person joins the organization, it may be apparent that the newbie is much more talented and capable. But, immediate promotion to the position for which he's best qualified will cause boat-rocking, something most managers endeavor to avoid.
And, those in the senior positions may be aware of their inadequacies when compared to others. Some will recognize this, but most will not. Defensiveness further reduces their abilities.
Sometimes, a frank discussion is necessary. More often, the preferred practice is to simply ignore the problem, and hope that it will go away. It will, one way or another.

The easiest target is the biggest.
Those in the vast middle class think, with some accuracy, that they're "the backbone of society". They have adopted and adapted to the societal norms. They have found income-producing jobs and careers within the vast, complicated system that makes up the semi-free market. At the same time, they have accumulated individual assets that, among them, amount to trillions of dollars. They're an easy target.
A vast accumulation of debt keeps the middle class in line. With mortgages, credit cards, and education debts, few dare to be bold and brash enough to risk present income flows. And, in some ways, discouraging foolish risks helps. But, we do not realize how helpless debt has made our society.
Women, especially, have a sense of how insecure their finances are. They are reluctant to take risks even as they are easily convinced to seek safety in government programs that pretend to "help" them "get through the tough times". For that reason, many in the vast mass of middle class women are more easily convinced to vote for the latest Pied Piper promising to tootle them to safety and security, always "without raising taxes".
Pied Pipers want to get paid. The rich are clever enough to keep from giving them money, and the poor don't have any. So, the same people who voted for the Pied Piper are the first to have their wallets lightened by him.
The middle class rarely notices. Since many are raised with exalted levels of self-esteem, they are not able to blame themselves for what has happened to them, and will vote for the next Piper if he promises greater safety and security. They will never find it.
While Pied Pipers play their beguiling and distracting tunes, there are billions of people abroad who look at the Western middle class, and drool with envy. Now highly organized, they bribe their way into allowing millions, and then hundreds of millions of immigrants. Their purpose is not just to loot those in the Western middle class, but to kill or enslave them.
A few notice, but are helpless to stop the onslaught that precedes the inevitable slaughter of a surprisingly undefended middle class.

"I have a marginal IQ. Now that I'm an environmentalist, it's an asset."
This, from junkscience.com : "With Premier John Brumby announcing last week he'd signed a deal to build his desalination plant near Kilcunda for $3.5 billion - rather than the $3.1 billion he'd promised two years ago - we know the full catastrophe.
We know Brumby is in fact paying three times as much for a third of the water he'd have got from a new dam on Gippsland's fast-flowing Mitchell River, which in 2007 had more water flow to waste in just one flood than Melbourne uses in a year."
No one, outside of a near-moron, could pay three times more for one third less. But, if the near-moron claims "environmental status", then his lack of intellectual and analytical skills are more of an asset than a liability. So confident are they of their new-found intellectual ability that they are able to proudly announce decisions that confirm their pitiful mental capacity without even a pang of self-awareness penetrating through to the soul that has shut itself down in disgust.
"This fool is sending me to hell to suffer forever. I hate him.", his soul is saying to a Guardian angel who is no longer there.

Busy, busy, busy.
Most of us are busy, and proud of it. "I got a lot done today. I will get a lot done tomorrow. Next week, I'm going to be even busier." Most of our conversations with other people boil down to taking turns saying
"I did ____ ". Then, we give time for the other person or people to say "Well, I did ____ ." until it's our turn to say "And, I did _____, too." When busy people are talking, the "I did _____ s." can take hours, often stretching back for decades.
Our "busyness" has one thing in common: it is horizontal. Many deal with people, other programmed entities like ourselves. Others deal with programmed entities that make and move things, like 2 x 4s and propulsion devices. No matter. Whether dealing with people or things, our activities are essentially horizontal in nature.
We spend little time dealing "upwards". Even momentarily considering The Programmer Who programmed us, loves us, and hopes that we spend eternity with Him in joy is often put aside because we're too busy doing things to give ourselves the opportunity to say to programmed entities like ourselves, for maybe the millionth time, "Then, I did ____."

The difference between spirit and soul.
"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit . . ." (Heb 4:12).
Our spirit deals with programmed entities. It runs all the programming operations in our mind and body. The spirit makes sure, for instance, that our pineal gland is doing whatever it's supposed to be doing. It's also our spirit that works with programmed entities outside our own mind and body, relating us and our activities to them as effectively as possible.
Our soul, on the other hand, is what relates us to He Who programmed it. Our soul, operating on a different wavelength, can communicate with The Programmer and His programming assistants. It can, thereby, keep our spirit from leading us astray.
There is a tension between the spirit and the soul that's best exemplified by the saints and their battle with evil spirits. Most human entities are ruled by spirit much of the time. That's why so many of us make choices to benefit what we think is best for our mind and body.
Saints exist to show that souls may rule minds and bodies, and lead them to live in communion with He Who programmed them. Souls, by their nature, want to rise above concerns with the programmed entities. Souls focus on The Programmer, in whose image they were programmed. It is the nature of each soul to want to spend eternity in His company.
In the body politic, the spirit is seen in the King's ministers. They provide the animating connections between the King and the operations of the body politic. If the King is ruled by a soul that seeks to obey God, then the ministers, often against their own will, do God's work. If the King is ruled by his glands, or by the desire to excessively increase his power and wealth, we see conditions that are inimical to the freedom and prosperity of his kingdom.
Each one of us is a tiny kingdom. If our soul makes our spirit obey God, it says "No!" to its disruptive demands. Then, we and our families tend to do well. If unchecked, our spirit will destroy our little kingdoms. That destruction is often disguised in the short term by the fact that the triumphant spirit often temporarily succeeds in gaining its temporal goals among the programmed entities.
The world glorifies the spirit. The soul, if it asks, will be given the strength by He Who programmed it to glorify its Programmer. The Creation Program hasn't changed. It exists to give each of us the freedom to decide to be ruled by spirit, connected to the programmed entities, or by the soul, which can actually connect with He Who programmed it.
The temporal programs are set up to run so that each one of us, many, many times a day, has the opportunity to put into practice: "You pays your money, and you takes your choice."

You can't practice law until you pass the Bar Exam
because that's the way it is. A similar bar exists between us and Heaven. It has been programmed that a soul can't go to Heaven unless it, its spirit, and its mind believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and its body acts accordingly, or at least has the good sense to ask forgiveness for its shortcomings before leaving the clay. According to The Program, God loves those souls who love Him enough to obey His teachings.
The Jews believed in what their neighbors thought was a series of lunacies. They believed that Sara had Isaac when she was in her eighties or nineties. They believed Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac on the altar, and that he was saved by the appearance of a ram, caught in a bush. Then, they believed that Joseph went from slave to convict to head of the earth's most powerful government. Then, they believed that the Pharaoh had plagues inflicted on him and Egypt to the point that they let the Israelites go. After that, they believed that the Red Sea parted, and closed again on Pharaoh's army. Then, they believed they were given manna from Heaven, and wandered in the desert for forty years before being given the Promised Land.
Jews believed all this, and wrote it down, along with some indications of what the world would soon see as even greater lunacies. Zechariah told us, five hundred years before it happened, that "God is coming to earth", predicted "He will ride in on a donkey", gave us words to the effect "He will be sold for thirty pieces of silver.", and prophesied "they will look upon Him Who they pierced". Other prophets foretold other happenings that would, and later did, occur. The Jews faithfully wrote all the prophecies down. They expensively (a sheet of parchment costs up to a hundred dollars a square foot) copied the words of the prophets and sent them to synagogues all over the world where they were read and studied for centuries. Some disregarded the prophets and their prophecies when they came to pass. "This is lunacy.", they said, while believing with whole-hearted selectivity in earlier "lunacies".
Just as God favored those who believed in His earlier miracles, He continues to love those who believe in the ongoing miracles predicted by those early prophets so much that He will gather them to live in joy with Him in Heaven forever.

Not much hope, here. Obama's change, as seen in unemployment numbers:
This chart looks very much like the fraudulently manipulated "hockey stick" that the Global Warmers used to demand their cap and trade legislation. Oddly, though this chart is real and measures the actual suffering of millions, it evokes more lies and excuses than concern from the very same people.

"I can't go back to The Church because . . . ."
There are tens of millions of lapsed Catholics. Though raised as Catholics, often divorced, remarried, and comfortable with their lives, they do not want to seek reconciliation with The Church for surprisingly few reasons that include:
1. "The priest scandal was so awful that I just lost all respect for The Church." This is often said with the outside corners of the mouth turned down so that the listener can't help but be made aware of how very, very seriously the lapsed Catholic takes this opinion. (Responses include: "Priests did not become child molesters. A few child molesters became priests, just as they become ministers, rabbis, and teachers. The old comparison of a flawed priest with a cracked pitcher makes it clear that the flaw in the pitcher has nothing to do with the water poured out of it.")
2. "I have to get an annulment, and The Church is going to make money from it." (One may answer: "The Sacrament of Marriage is an important one that is not lightly set aside. There are dozens of hours involved in providing an annulment. Near endless forms must be filled out, interviews made, and all that detailed work requires a paid staff. Isn't it only fair that the person requesting that all the work be done make a minimal contribution to defray some of the expenses?"
3. "I just don't believe in all that stuff any more." Sometimes, this is accompanied by a plaintive plea, "I'd like to believe, but I just can't." (The meaning behind the words is tragic, indicating that vanity has, hopefully only temporarily, drowned out the cry of the soul to join with God through cheerful obedience.
4. "As a woman, I feel that the Catholic Church treats me as a second-class citizen." This is endlessly popular, in several variants that replace "woman" with "pornographer", "homosexual", "lesbian", and "animal rights activist disgusted that Lassie can't go to Heaven". TV talk shows frequently have guests who can say this in several ways. When it is duly repeated, a camera often scans the audience, usually composed of women, all of whom are either applauding wildly or nodding grimly in agreement. (One response, "The Catholic Church's oldest religious enemy is found within the Moslem religion. It teaches that women are so unequal to men that they should not have the right to vote, often should have their clitorises painfully removed, and be divorced, without a property settlement, at the triple recitation, even email, of their husband saying 'I divorce you'. That's a much more accurate description of 'second class citizen', but evokes absolutely no negative response from the same women who owe their far more equal treatment to two thousand years of Catholic teaching. The only people who can compare the two are either too ignorant or too cowardly.")
Two possible conclusions to a lapsed soul's life on earth are summed up in Dante's account of the souls belonging to the two rapacious brothers, both Dukes of Montefeltro . On his journey through the underworld, Dante met the soul of one Duke in the Circles of Hell, where it was sent after his sudden death in some nefarious enterprise. Dante met the other Duke's soul in Purgatory. He also died from pursuing some illicit gain, his horse having fallen over on him, trapping him in a mire in which he drowned. His death took some time, and he used a least a moment of his final minutes to ask God to forgive him. That prayer was granted, and his soul made the painful journey through Purgatory, eventually getting, if he didn't look back, into Heaven.
The souls of the Dukes of Montefeltro symbolize every lapsed Catholic we meet. If we are able to download within their minds the fact that even a brief, heartfelt request for forgiveness in the last seconds of life will be granted, the departing soul may access that information and use it to avoid an eternity of pain.
We also want to point out that it's far safer, and far better, to avoid unnecessary pain in Purgatory by making the request while we still have time to live in accord with how He wants us spend our lives. But, lapsed Catholics would not be in the state they're in if they were able to consider that seriously enough to act on it. Sometimes, it may be better to start at the end and work backwards.

Dealing effectively with The Programmer.
There is an ongoing war within us in which we choose obedience or disobedience many, many times a day. A part of us knows we should obey the Operating Instructions provided by The Unprogrammed Programmer and His Church. At the same time, a part of us wants to disobey. At any given moment, with every thought, word, and deed we are doing one of two things, we are either moving toward or away from Him.
We can understand that Original Sin, the programming error written into us by Adam and Eve's regrettable choice in the Garden, prompts us to move toward obeying, and thereby worshipping, ourselves and our least worthy desires. At the same time, we may wonder, "What is it that prompts us to say 'No.' when faced with choosing error?"
It's been called "conscience", but it is actually the awareness of the consequences of error. This awareness is provided by He Who we Catholic Fundamentalists think of as The Holy Wireless Connector. He operates between the Unprogrammed Programmer, The Program (which, in the person of Jesus Christ, came to earth in perfect, loving, obedient human form), and all of us free-will programs.
When we pray, which is to ask for Programming Assistance, it is the Holy Wireless Connector Who provides access to the proper wavelengths and frequencies that allow our requests for programming assistance to get through to The Programmer.
We do not, unless we're some kind of ego-maniac, expect Him to personally stop what He's doing and take care of us. He does that through the ranks upon ranks of Programming Assistants that transmit His will to us programmed entities. Within those ranks are both the choirs of angelic programming assistants and the souls of the saints whose faith has given them direct access to The Unprogrammed Programmer.
When requesting Programming Assistance to help with the programs we want to run successfully, going through the proper channels shows that we understand our place in the vast programs that operate all there is. That humility, alone, is a great help. "We can give so-and-so some programming assistance, simply because he's not uppity and tries to go over our heads.", the angels and saints may say even as they make arrangements for that help to be provided, often in utterly unexpected ways.

Examining the answer to a prayer.
In every life and career, there are a lot of ups and downs. Some time ago, it was necessary for the place I work to obtain what's called "Mezzanine Financing". That's needed when a company is starting a large project, has spent the available funds, and finds that the additional business thereby generated needs more working capital.
Lots of businesses go bankrupt during this process. Jobs and investments disappear like perfume in a desert wind, so mezzanine financing is expensive. The place I work could have been forced out of business without it. So, millions of dollars were borrowed at 15% interest. Owners had to both pledge and relinquish their stocks, property titles, and assets to be physically held by the mezzanine finance provider.
Asset sales were necessary, so excess land, machinery, and buildings were put up for sale. In a down economy, such assets are hard to sell. Requests to various specialists at Programming Headquarters were made. St. Anthony, who's in charge of the "Things That Need To Be Found Department" received many, many pleas to find buyers for the company's assets. None appeared.
Then, out of the blue, a call came from a salesman in Michigan who worked for a Brazilian automotive manufacturer. The owner of that company had a personal friend who owned a large retail chain in South America. "If you can make this particular kind of consumer products, we'll buy them from you.", he said to his manufacturing friend. So, the Brazilian manufacturer called his U.S. salesman. "See if you can find some plastic injection molds to make such and such.", he said.
The place I work got a phone call. Part of their capital had been spent buying injection molds to get them out of the U. S. market, and, in a few months, these molds were sold in Brazil for enough money to defray a third of the mezzanine financing the company had taken on.
In tracing this back, to the thoughts that preceded the conversation in Brazil to the telephone calls that could have gone several other places, the Catholics where I work could only say, "Thank you, St. Anthony!"

The demons of Sloth have taken organizational form in Environmentalism.
The environmental movement, by its very nature, wants to get rid of human activities and progress, both of which are hated by the demons of Sloth. The essential operating instructions they try to download within the human spirit is this: "When people do things, they disrupt other processes. That is arrogance, and should not be allowed. Therefore, the highest calling is to stop others from doing things."
Naturally, the slothful are pro-abortion. "Those babies will just grow up and become people who will want to have and do things. We can't have that."
The slothful are also pro-euthanasia. "When people get past a certain age, they should die so that they don't disrupt natural processes."
The slothful are in favor of more government control. "We simply have to be able to stop people from interfering with natural processes."
The demons of sloth seem among the lowest-ranking in the body of the apostate angel. (Some of last month's columns concerned The Discadalicon, written by Hugh of St. Victor around 1150, which teaches that "Those who do evil are part of the body of the apostate angel.", certainly one of the best summings-up of evil that was ever made.) In fact, the other living viruses committed to our destruction find the "sloth viruses" useful in paralyzing thoughts, words, and deeds that might get in the way of their own ravenous desires.
The more active demonic tribes of Pride, Envy, Greed, Gluttony, Anger, and Lust all vie for dominance over each of our souls, and all of them know that Sloth is useful because it paralyzes those they wish to destroy, keeping them from fighting back. "You don't need to go to Church.", says Sloth on Sunday morning. "You haven't really done anything bad."
Sloth is as quiet as a tomb, as slow as January molasses, and as useless as thick fog. Chemically, it is represented by tranquilizers and various "downers". Its demons want to extend sleep to cover entire mornings, days, and weeks. If allowed, the demons of Sloth quickly devour months, and years of lives spent circling around the drains they can't wait to see our souls go down.

Sloth's allied virus, Perfectionism:
"Realize, then, that in this vice there is a poison which not only chokes the first seeds of virtue, but even destroys those already formed. What the worm does in wood, sloth effects in the spiritual life. It is used very successfully by the devil to draw men into snares, particularly those who seek perfection."
It's important to note that perfectionism is one of the smaller clans of viruses within the greater tribe of Sloth's demons. The virus named "Perfectionism" corrupts our individual CPU by doing two things, it allows a person to do nothing and provides excuses to do nothing. Further, the virus of Perfectionism encourages doing ever less. "We cannot do _______ until we are sure that it will cause no harm." Eventually, we see that the _______ is expanded at every opportunity so as to include every single human activity except dying, which is sold as the surest way to avoid error.
Each and every human activity is attacked by Perfectionism until the society paralyzed by it is destroyed by those with a little more ambition. "They are barbarians!" say the Perfectionists, waiting their inevitable opportunities to infect and destroy the new wave of people who like to get things done.

Sloth is a corrupting virus that destroys all.
Dorothy Sayers in The Other Six Deadly Sins:
“(Sloth) is the accomplice of the other sins and their worst punishment. It is the sin which believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, loves nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and only remains alive because there is nothing it would die for. We have known it far too well for many years. The only thing perhaps that we have not known about it is that it is mortal sin.”
Some might disagree with Sayers in one detail. When she says "(sloth) loves nothing, hates nothing", she may, in fact, be ignoring that the viruses under the direction of Demon Sloth have, as their less-than-sacred duty, both the hatred and corruption of everything, especially any decent human aspiration. They want to grind all that is good away to nothingness. Therefore, the evil spirits of Sloth hate everything, except entropy, and they even hate that because it doesn't go fast enough.
There are two forms of death. The quick form, that we all have to think about, is coming soon enough. There's another, slower, insidious death by erosion. Quick death only affects our soul, mind, and body for the instant between death and initial judgment. Death by erosion just wears us away, day by day. The demons of sloth love both kinds of death, but prefer to let life erode slowly so that judgment is sure to be more unfavorable.
At judgment, are we allowed to argue for ourselves, as Jacob did, fighting with the angel? Can we say, "It's not my fault that the viruses corrupted my processing so badly that I couldn't think straight?"
If we say that, will the Judge even bother to reply, "I have judged thirty billion souls. 310,386,002 of them had your exact mental capability, had the same amount of stress and temptations, and they were able to obey My Operating Instructions. How can you expect to be rewarded as they were when you chose not to resist the viruses whose job is to lead you where you wanted to go?"
Friday, August 14, 2009
In further analyzing one of the most remarkable definitions of all time,
"Those who chose to do evil are part of the body of the apostate angel", we may consider the unending flow of lies, distortions, and false alarms that flow simultaneously from the world-wide, state-run media. We see that those who spread such falsehoods are the face and mouth of the apostate angel that makes his wishes known around the world. His lies flow from the mouths of attractive faces on a daily, even hourly, basis.
When we look critically at any of the state-run newspapers, newsmagazines, or TV stations, we see clearly that lies, distortions, and false alarms comprise the bulk of their output, whether by ink or electrons. It is logical to ask, "Where do all these falsehoods come from?".
So, we go from the "news personality" (face and mouth of the apostate angel) to editor (fringe of the fallen angel's mind) to publisher to owners, who are even closer to the very generator of destructive, corrupting viruses, that encourage the death so beloved by the apostate angel. The Bible does not call him "the father of lies" for nothing.
When we see his mouthpieces and those who control them, it is easy to see that vanity abounds among them. Some personalities simply loved to be looked at by their neighbors, and TV stations provide positions where those burdened with extraordinary amounts of vanity may be amply rewarded for giving their lives to their egos. Most local "news personalities" in middle markets with dying economies are paid salaries in the $200,000/year range simply to read the same things that other "news personalities" are reading on other channels.
Their bosses, the directors, producers, and editors are also well paid for their vanities, which are of a sort that drives them to be thought of as "intellectual", which is how they will order their underlings to describe them. Most of the watchers, listeners, and readers have been carefully trained to believe such claptrap. "Intellectual" is an adjective generally reserved for middle managers who participate in passing on the death wishes of the apostate angel, himself. Like their underlings, these in the "middle management of evil", wish to be admired, but more for their supposedly "genius-like" mental abilities than for the grooming, costumes, fake sincerity, and hair-dos so important to the "news personalities".
Upper-level managers supervise the middle-management of subordinate chaff spewers, the directors, producers, and editors whose underlings are its direct disseminators. They are even closer to the driving death-wish that is the evil brain of the apostate angel.
The owners who direct the upper-level managers are mostly billionaires and billionaire desperately-wannabes. They don't care much about what anyone thinks about them. Their concern is maintaining the loyalty to evil that enables them to maintain their earthly position by obeying their master's every destructive desire. That process, in some owner-families, goes on for generations of the damned.
Again, we may have great gratitude to the little-known Saxon monk, Hugh of St. Victor, whose learning and wisdom helped eight and a half centuries of readers to realize that "those who do evil are part of the body of the apostate angel". That seemingly-simple sentence in his Discadalicon provides a real step forward in understanding the parts of the body that the hierarchy of evil people on earth represent.

People who have chosen to become part of the body of the apostate angel
do their best to corrupt and destroy. We see their presence most obviously in those careers that depend on the various monopolies that governments have evolved to build large, safe bases of supporters. One of the largest such structures has evolved in Western governments around the imaginary "need for public education".
Since people love their children, it's easy for those who repeatedly say "we need to help the children" to get access to large, steady flows of tax money with which they can hire those able to repeat most effectively variations of the "we need to help the children" litany. At the same time, they do everything possible to keep them from learning enough to ever be so independent that they threaten their system.
Most taxpayers are not cunning enough to realize that the things reported by the state-run media about public education are lies, exaggerations, and false alarms churned out by those who excel at such things. We are as simple as sheep, trusting as lambs, and as inevitably fleeced repeatedly before being devoured.
We see the corruption clearly when we consider our local school boards. Those positions appear to be the results of "free elections". In fact, most school board members are there because they were supported by a union strong enough to control most elections. No one who fights against increased funding is supported by their unions, and those who do fight are, sooner or later, inevitably eliminated in primary elections controlled by the small numbers of hard-core supporters who swing primaries to favored candidates.
The result; most school board members arrange for spouses, children, family members, and friends to be hired. With the cashing of every paycheck issued because of such nepotism, souls are moved closer to perdition even as employee ability declines. That dooms the system to ever greater failure while simultaneously requiring more and more lies to be told even as more administrators are hired to "improve the system".
Praying for those losing their souls is about all we can do.

If we drop a teaspoon of
tiny iron filings on a piece of cardboard, we know that they land in a disorganized heap. As soon as we bring a magnet underneath the cardboard, the filings magically form themselves into a pattern that follows the magnet's lines of flux:
When the magnet is removed and the cardboard is shaken, the particles return to their disorganized form. The more powerful the magnet under the filings, the more organized the pattern becomes.
Just so with the thoughts, ideas, facts, and opinions that are dumped into our minds. As our individual pilgrimage continues, our pile of facts and ideas gets larger. If we want to make sense out of the growing amounts of information that come into our minds, we need an evermore powerful organizing force.
For simpler minds, organizing systems like yoga are enough to provide a degree of comfort. Others prefer various forms of therapy to "straighten out". Some try hypnosis. Others, unable to bear the pain of their mental chaos, use various mind-altering/deadening chemicals. The farther a particle is from a pole, the easier it is to shift around. The "purer" the tiny particle, the closer it is drawn to a pole.
We may imagine our soul as one of these individual iron particles. At any given time, it is at some distance from either pole. Which pole was it closer to yesterday? Is it closer today? Where will it be tomorrow? We spend our lives nearer to one pole than the other. Nothing is more important than being closer to the right pole so that when the magnet is pulled away, we can stick with it.

To better understand the picture above
we must understand that the lines of flux emitted by the magne are in three dimensions. This illustration comes close, if we mentally picture the lines of flux here portrayed as the cross-section of a doughnut:
It's necessary to imagine each of these lines, which, like the earth itself, are oblate spheroids, as the outer circumferences of globes, with a "cloud" of power emanating from the magnet.
When applying this "descending clouds of power", we see that by visualizing the magnet as the Programmer, each human soul at each moment in time is a certain distance from one of the poles.
Unlike the magnetic particles that may be pictured "floating" in its proper place, as a "cloud" of iron filings would be sorted, our souls have the ability to move toward one pole or the other.
We can easily picture "Hell" as being in the lower half of magnet and "Heaven" as being in the upper half of the "cloud" of "soul-particles". We may go so far as to picture Purgatory as a flat disc, as invisible to us as the rings of Saturn on edge, which it resembles, that horizontally bisect the exact center of the diagram.
Combining Dante with the magnetic portrayal of souls in the "Celestial Magnetic Field", we may conclude that there are 9 circles within each half of the "Divine Doughnut". When we do that, we more clearly understand that what is pictured here is a crude cross section of that far higher truth.
It must be noted for the purposes of this admittedly crude analogy, that the motivating power is not merely an inanimate magnet, but is The Living Programmer, Who loves each and every one of us and wants us to move toward Him, the source of all.
Interesting exercise: Picture nine "circles" above and below the magnet. Then, point to where you think your soul is. After that, think of things to do to move that point closer to where you want it to be.

Mowing. A sacred duty?
There are few human occupations as enjoyable as running a lawnmower over uncut grass. When we start, the grass is uneven, and when we're finished, the lawn is smooth and well-trimmed. For a few days, it maintains that appearance, and we look approvingly upon it.
Where does this satisfaction come from? It's programmed into us. Genesis makes it clear that one of our basic purposes is to "dress and prune the earth". When we mow our lawns, we are fulfilling a deep desire programmed into us from our beginnings in Eden. Clearing brush from overgrown fields and pasturelands is another satisfying activity.
From tiny dish gardens to vast, well-mowed estates, many of us find a deep enjoyment in dressing and pruning the earth. Those of us who are called to dress and prune find joy in it, and move onwards to understand that it is a small step to something far, far bigger.
When we begin to dress and prune ourselves, getting rid of the warty protuberances and irregularities that grow, if unchecked, in our minds and on our souls, we move closer to The Programmer, and the ongoing realization of how very, very much He loves us all.

Mortal vs. Venal Sin, adjusted for inflation.
Various Churchmen have attempted to quantify various moral issues. One such attempt was made in the late 1800s, when it was calculated that "Stealing less than twenty dollars is a venal sin, not a mortal sin that leads to damnation."
At that time, an ounce of gold was worth twenty dollars. Today, that same ounce of gold will sell for, rounded up slightly, one thousand dollars. While any theft is wrong, there are gradations, and one thousand dollars does not, today, seem unreasonable as the dividing line between the mortal and venal sin of theft.
But, theft of property also relates to theft of time. Taking a thousand dollars from a person who makes ten dollars an hour is far more grievous than stealing that amount from a person making five hundred dollars an hour. Discounting taxes, it will take the first victim one hundred hours, over two weeks of normal working time, to replace that thousand dollars. It will take the second person two hours to make back what was taken, showing that the same sin can have vastly disproportionate effects. While it does not invalidate the seriousness of the sin, taking two hours from a person's life is vastly less harmful than taking one hundred hours. So, we may also consider mortal sin as the taking of over two weeks from someone's life.
When a taxing authority takes a thousand dollars from two hundred million taxpayers and wastes that money on sure-to-fail programs that duplicate previously failed programs, those involved are reasonably thought to be guilty of mortal sin. Such people, however, will invariably make excuses for ongoing thefts of trillions from hundreds of millions of their neighbors. That does not excuse, but compounds, the sin that financially quantifies the souls that do not love their neighbors as calculated by He Who moral accountants may identify at The Big Bookkeeper in The Sky.

Corrections
of His erring people are well-recorded in the Books of Kings and Chronicles. Time after time, His chosen people strayed. Every time they left Him for strange gods, He allowed them to be defeated, enslaved, and/or killed by Philistines, Assyrians, Egyptians, Edomites, Babylonians, Greeks, and Romans.
Today, the less-Christian-than-ever countries have all strayed into disobedience. Every single Commandment is being attacked by a group's whose sole existence is predicated on negating them. One tribe of demons replaces the First Commandment with new idols, from the lunacy of Global Warming to Windmills and Solar Panels. Another tribe of demons replaces "Thou Shalt Not Steal" with "It is your duty to vote for people who will steal from you, both with taxes and induced inflation." Others replace "Thou Shalt Not Kill" with abortion and euthanasia.
As before, He has raised a large, powerful people to chastise us. Their threat is growing as their well-funded groups make inroads into the soft, weak, flabbiness of the West. We are as helpless as His people before their massed enemies. Too few of us are repenting, turning to Him, and asking His assistance against the destructive forces within and without.

Fare thee well, O, Ishmael
Ishmael, O Ishmael, our God once wished you well.
Your mother, an Egyptian. Your father, God's great friend.
You loved your father, Abraham, though he'd ordered you sent
into the desert, spending your life far from the father who
had loved you, after his wife, your hated stepmother, ordered you expelled
from the extensive holdings that you and your mother thought would/should come to you
as the eldest son of a very wealthy man.
You especially hated Sarah, but despised your mother, too,
because she did not effectively stand up to her for you.
(Your sons still don't like women, and keep them in a place
Where they can never harm a son of yours, the hallmark of your race.)
The horror of the awful day you were uprooted and sent into the desert
with only a bag of water was scarred within your heart
and hatred for your brothers would grow and not depart. Sarah hated you
and your mother so much that she did not send you off with servants, camels, tents, and gold.
Only a bag of water.
You did return to bury Abraham, whom you'd hated and adored, obeying, before it was written down,
the Commandment to "Honor your father and your mother."
And helped your younger brother with the task, he with whom, as boys, you'd played,
Until the awful day descended, when Sarah had you sent away.
You had twelve sons of your own, from your Egyptian wife,
And taught each one their sacred duty was to bring endlesss strife
Against all your father's family,
And his Great God, Who offers love you hate.
The saddest thing in all of time, your bitterness won't end.
Face set against your brothers, sons raised to be their foes,
So filled with hate and anger they neither knew nor know their woe
Was to be separated from the God Who's wished you well
And sent an angel to protect His beloved Ishmael.
And from God's Son, your brother, from Whom you turn your face
And go on burdening your sons with hate on hate on hate.
You set yourself against your brothers. Your anger echoes, still,
In all the troubles in the world, from angry Ishmael.
Be happy, my friend. Don't hate your neighbors, but love them
And return to He Who made you for better things than hate.

The Endless Conflict Began With Fear. It Continues With Death.
When Abraham's wife, Sarah, saw her son, Isaac, playing with Ishmael, the son of Hagar, she knew that Ishmael, being older, had an advantage in years that Isaac would never have. She was afraid that Ishmael could end up with everything Abraham owned, and demanded that Abraham send Hagar, her former maidservant, and Ishmael away.
Both were stunned, shocked, and afraid that their eviction from Abraham's wealthy, well-ordered, safe establishment would end in their death. Hagar went from being close to the richest man around to living in the desert, and was prepared to let both her and her son, Ishmael, die.
God had other plans. He sent an angel to provide them with sustenance. As time went by, Hagar found an Egyptian wife for Ishmael from her native country. Ishmael's twelve sons went on to rule the land between Shur and Havilah, the area between Gaza and the head of the Persian Gulf. They expanded throughout the Arabian Peninsula, and have targeted the world, motivated by hatred of their neighbors, beginning with the anger of Hagar and Ismael at their exile.
Their hatred was so strong it became Ishmael's main motivating factor. Genesis 25;18, "He (Ishmael) set himself to defy his brothers." Their hatred was magnified by the better treatment Abraham provided to his many later children. When they grew, he set them up with enough to establish their own families, clans, and tribes "in the east", giving them far more than the "bag of water" he gave Hagar and Ishmael before exiling them. They, too, became targets for the sons of Ishmael, whose eternal anger continues to be aimed against all of his brothers' children.
Why would God have wanted to engender such permanent hostility?
One answer is apparent, today. The Catholic Church and those who spring from it are the family of Abraham, many descended genetically, all spiritually, from him with whom God still loves. Their opponent, the wrath of Ishmael passed on to his children, is still centered in the Middle East, and expanding rapidly as Abraham's other children sink, as usual, into idolatry, worshipping themselves and their taxing authorities' endless idols more than the God who created them.
Ideally, those descended from Ishmael and Abraham's other children will join together, combining faith and obedience with love for God and each other with hatred for sin. Stranger things have happened.

When we increasingly realize
that our soul is the animating force that has downloaded its mind and body around it from materials programmed to be so absorbed and organized, we stop seeing people as the carefully clothed and coifed bodies they present to the world. We realize that within each of our neighbors, like ourselves, there lives a soul, often so chained to passing items and beliefs as to be unrecognizable as a living, independent, eternal entity.
Each soul, by its very nature, wants to be close to the Loving God Who programmed it into existence. It is not unreasonable to assume that half the souls will be saved, as Matthew 24:40 indicates, "Two men will be working in the field and one will be taken." as does Luke, 17:24, "Two men will be sleeping in a bed and one will be taken."
As we focus on the eternal placement of our soul, the activities of humans on earth fall into a larger, more proper perspective.

Divisions.
Christians are divided into Catholics and Protestants. Moslems into Sunni and Shiite. Jews are Reformed, Conservative, Orthodox, etc. Within each division, there are groups, and these are divided into still smaller segments. It has been said that if there are three Baptists in a room, there are at least two congregations and another about to start.
A far more important division separates those who love and help their neighbors and those who have different levels of hatred for them. Most Christians understand that loving their neighbors is a prerequisite for getting into Heaven. Moslems have reached the opposite conclusion, and believe that killing those who refuse to share their beliefs is certain to result in their souls ending up in paradise. Jews are divided on the subject. Some love their neighbors, others, not so much.
The most important division is between the souls who will get to Heaven and those who will not. Christians believe that it's impossible for a suicide bomber to get to Heaven. Moslems believe it's a sure thing. The only thing the two groups have in common is that they believe they have souls who will be rewarded in Heaven for obeying their version of God's orders.
Can Christians and Moslems find any common ground?

An early ecumenical movement
drew leading Catholic theologians together in the 12th Century for a meeting to decide the best theological approach to converting the Moslems to Christianity. While The Church's leading intellect, St. Thomas Aquinas, was on his way to the meeting, he died in 1274, in circumstances so sudden and mysterious that Dante suggests that St. Thomas was murdered by Charles of Anjou.
St. Thomas Aquinas taught:
"He (Mohammed) seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh urges us. His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected; he was obeyed by carnal men. As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths that he taught he mingled with many fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity.
He did not bring forth any signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly inspired teacher of truth. On the Contrary, Mohammed said that he was sent in the power of his arms - which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants. What is more, no wise men, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him from the beginning (1). Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Mohammed forced others to become his follower's by the violence of his arms. Nor do divine pronouncements on part of preceding prophets offer him any witness. On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimony of the Old and the New Testaments by making them into a fabrication of his own, as can be seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity. It is thus clear that those who place faith in his words believe foolishly." - Summa Contra Gentiles, Book 1, Chapter 16, Art. 4. Footnote: 1. Sura 21:5, Sura 44:14; Sura 16:103, Sura 37:36
Simply saying this did not change any noticeable number of Moslem hearts, and repeating it today will have the same negligible effect. Few Christians and Jews, whose co-religionists have been largely exterminated in many areas of the world, begin with seeing the areas where Moslems are right.
There is, in the formerly Catholic countries, a long-term upsurge in idolatry. Abortion, birth-control, and various pseudo-intellectual fads like Global Warming, Trans-fat, Obesity, Global Freezing, Salt & Sugar Excesses, Organic Foods, and dozens of other Imaginary Problems take their turns on the altars provided by the state and the media under it's near-direct control. Sex, materialism, regulation and vicious taxation of neighbors are rampant in the West. The Moslems are against many of the sins that have afflicted their European neighbors.
They do not see that freedom has a God-given purpose: It exists to separate sheep from goats. The West has evolved a society that lets all who want to sin have endless opportunities to do so. No one is kept from most sins by any law or regulation that can keep them from the sin that attracts them. We approach God as we battle sin within ourselves, while the Moslems try to impose His will from without.
By denying all but the richest Moslems (whose immoral behaviors are legendary in the casinos, bars, and even less reputable places they are in the habit of frequenting in the West) the opportunity to sin, they must gravitate toward ever-stricter moral controls, a more powerful regulatory state, and more stifling.
Moslems attempt to control sin the way leftists want to control other sorts of behavior, top-down power exercised by a police state. Attacking freedom is attacking the God Who wants us to be free, and sure to draw His wrath, after the sinful have done what they want to themselves.
When the left sees that the Moslems want to destroy them and the sins they have chosen, the two groups will fight. For now, Moslems are able to bribe key leftists to allow them to take over the formerly Christian countries even as their armed gangs are beginning to attack, even kill, those participating in the sins they hate most. Soon, those bribes will have no effect, and the war will take more open form.

As we explore the coming blow-up
between Moslems and their now-supportive liberal friends, we can see that the final battle will be as brutal as it is short. Already, European Jews and homosexuals are being viciously attacked by Moslems who are offended by their very presence. As a result, Europeans are all becoming more worried about being attacked, and find that their police protection has often evaporated.
There are laws for conservatives, fewer laws for leftists, and no laws at all for those who mount attacks on Western natives. Even while liberals finding ways to justify saying "It serves them right." when describing victims of Moslem aggression, they are seeing that their own enlightenment fails to provide the defense that worked when used against conservatives.
Leftists have a thought pattern that goes something like this: "The news reports that so-and-so or such-and-such were attacked, (beaten, raped, robbed, murdered) by 'Asians' (one of the code words for "Moslems"). I, though a member of the same group, will not do anything because they deserved to be attacked, if only because (and this is perpetually popular as a way to disassociate the leftist from having to be involved, 'they were in the wrong place at the wrong time'."
Politicians, it may be assumed as a result of taking bribes, will not allow the police to do anything meaningful to protect their own citizens, because "fairness" is more important than loving their neighbors. Currently, in some European countries, the only people who dare to fight against the ongoing attacks on sovereignty are members of motorcycle gangs, hardly numbered among the intellectual elite. As more people are persecuted for offending Moslem beliefs, the left will begin to turn against them. It is already happening in Russia, where Mr. Putin is lionized for not caving in the way, for instance, Prince Charles automatically does.

Psyche is Greek for "Soul".
Among the most destructive heresies, continually reappearing among us from the most vicious tribes of demons living within the over-educated pseudo-intellectuals, are those which try to cure spiritual problems with lesser means.
God, we know, is a Spiritual Being Who has the power to program an entire universe, with us, and our tiny universes, within it. After He programmed the initial download, He continues to maintain His huge, Creation Program so that each of us may decide to move toward, or away, from Him.
Our soul is a similar, but far tinier animating force. Each of our souls wants nothing more than to be united with He Who made it. But, during our days in the clay, souls are programmed to be wrapped in the mind and body it has programmed around it. Each mind and body are similarly wrapped within family and social structures. Within those wrappings are some who would destroy it. The parts of the mind connected to the baser instincts are always saying "Give me _____." and "I want ____." Most of those "blanks" will take the soul farther away from He Who lovingly programmed it, and are encouraged by those who feed on the lives of others, which, of course, is why they are "blanks".
The lost soul lives in a confused mind whose problems are reflected in its body. Those who pretend to help with various mental tricks and chemicals do tremendous harm to confused souls, urged ever onwards by the destructive demons who have taken root within their own minds.
Many such "healers" preface their occupations as therapists and analysts with variations of "Psyche". They often succeed in utterly destroying the soul by destroying its innate love and affinity for He Who made it.

Cash for clunkers.
When someone turned in a clunker for cash, the car was rendered utterly useless by destroying its engine. Those who designed the program thought they were doing something "good for the environment" by getting the clunkers off the road.
The place I work is about fifteen miles away from two larger cities with thousands of unemployed people. Without cars, they can't get to work. Liberals could have actually helped people by giving those clunkers to people who would be grateful to use them to get to a job.
But, helping people and loving their neighbors isn't what's important to liberals. They prefer to destroy the possibility of employment and advancement in the name of some false idol.

The more damaged the soul,
the less connection it has with God. A flashlight bulb that's not connected properly with its power source will flicker, and only rarely will it emit enough light to be useful. When that happens, we instinctively shake the flashlight, and sometimes, it will begin to work. Similarly, sometimes, God "shakes us up", and we begin to put out more light.
Each soul has the ability to relate with and connect to its Programmer, Who programmed every soul with the ability to know Him. Some souls choose to get closer to its Programmer, others do not. The most damaged souls actually hate He Who programmed them, and will make no end of excuses to avoid getting closer to Him by obeying His Operating Instructions.
When we consider the shape of the soul, we have little evidence of what it looks like. St. Therese of Lisieux tells us that "souls are as different as faces". Fifteen hundred years before that, St. Augustine used to marvel at the incredible variety of faces that God was able to provide with variations on chins, mouths, noses, cheeks, eyes, and foreheads.
Some have thought that souls are shaped something like a doughnut, each with a God-shaped hole. Others visualize their being as a curved disc, like a satellite receiver, focusing God's wavelengths on the soul.

The goal of every Communist
is to be like Fidel Castro, with operational ownership of an entire country whose population has been reduced to slavery. This dream has great appeal to angry people with second-rate intellects. They know that their only opportunity for material success exists in tyranny, so hatred becomes an ever-larger part of their being.
We see leftists make endless pilgrimages to bask in the presence of Fidel Castro, who affirms their second-rateness with his countless billions of dollars and hordes of flunkies, both of which are the goal of his acolytes, wrapped, as ever, in endless lies about "making things better and fairer for all".
The goal of every Christian
is to get his soul into Heaven. This requires an appreciation for poverty, obedience, and chastity. These three desires are a manifestation of love, and are, therefore, the exact opposites of the qualities preferred by the left.

Strange things grow in greenhouses.
There are certain laws of success in freer countries. Generally, those who are honest and upright do well. Those who love God and their neighbors do better than those who hate Him and them. When countries embrace such an operating system, they grow and prosper. They are well defended. Protected by a strong defense, things within the country change. People begin to worship idols.
Usually, the defense structure is the last thing to collapse, allowing all manner of incompetent, even evil, people to gain power within the country, rotting it from within. They are usually helped by bribes from countries that have forgotten God and His Operating Instructions. When the defense forces are weakened, the country falls.
The same thing happens in greenhouses. They allow for growths that simply could not survive in the harsher world outside. When the glass is broken and the heating system fails, the most unnatural growths are first to die.

Saving souls
involves helping to make clearer the connection that can exist between our own soul and the Loving God Who programmed it at the moment of our conception. We know that our own soul is an entity that is starved for love. We can also know that the greatest source of love is He Who sent His Son to die for us. Once these two facts are clear, they only need to be connected. Far more easily than an anteater's impossibly long tongue can reach deeply into the twisted tunnels of an anthill for sustenance, we can reach upwards to God for spiritual nourishment simply by asking Him to help us do so.
