From the People Who Brought Us Bob Dole and John McCain.

Friday, January 27, 2012 · Posted In: Daily Column

The Andrew Jackson Administration’s worst enemies were the enlightened elites of the Northeast.  After Jackson defeated them, he closed their source of funding, The National Bank.  They never forgot this assault on their most important bastion, from which they could amass fortunes by devaluing currency, providing low interest loans for themselves, and bribe Congressmen to maintain favored status.

The same people still have the same goals.  First among them is to keep anyone even remotely resembling Andrew Jackson out of the Presidency.  They need to maintain the mechanisms that provide bail-out money for banks, tarp funds, and all the Imaginary Problems that hide their greed and the mechanisms for satisfying it.   To them, Mitt Romney would make the ideal candidate.

They realize that Ron Paul, the closest to Jackson, is going to siphon off the “Truly Unhappy Vote”.  Since he can’t win, he’s useful for keeping Newt Gingrich, the second-closest to Jackson, from beating Romney.  Rick Santorum is being used to divert support from Gingrich.

So, Bob Dole and John McCain are going to be resurrected in the person of Mitt Romney.  It matters little if he or Obama wins the Presidency.

About Catholic Fundamentalism

We speak and think of God in Iron Age words. Catholic Fundamentalism redefines God for our times as The Loving Programmer.

As we understand The Loving Programmer’s power, we realize that the Fundamentalists are right—Scripture should be taken as literally as possible. If we are especially blessed in seeing the truth in Fundamentalism, it may become apparent that The Roman Catholic Church has been His chosen repository for faithful Christians since the beginning.
