St. Paul was a loyal Catholic who taught “keep the traditions that we taught you, whether by word of mouth or by letter”, 2 Thes. 2:15. St. Paul was not the “First Protestant”, but a loyal Catholic.
Every Protestant who says “I believe in The Bible!” should believe Gal. 5, 16-22 “. . self indulgence is the opposite of The Spirit . . . Protestants ignore the word “factions“! They say they love St. Paul for “standing up to Peter”, but they ignore his condemnation of the self-indulgence when it appears in their own, beloved “faction”.
St. Paul puts those in “factions” in the same class with fornicators, the grossly indecent, the sexually irresponsible, the disagreeing, the envious, drunkards, and those who participate in orgies.
