Chapter 3 1 1 Meanwhile Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. Leading the flock across the desert, he came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 2 There an angel of the LORD appeared to him in fire flaming out of a bush. As he looked on, he was surprised to see that the bush, though on fire, was not consumed. 3 So Moses decided, "I must go over to look at this remarkable sight, and see why the bush is not burned." 4 When the LORD saw him coming over to look at it more closely, God called out to him from the bush, "Moses! Moses!" He answered, "Here I am." 5 God said, "Come no nearer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. 6 3 I am the God of your father," he continued, "the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob." Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. 7 But the LORD said, "I have witnessed the affliction of my people in Egypt and have heard their cry of complaint against their slave drivers, so I know well what they are suffering. 8 4 Therefore I have come down to rescue them from the hands of the Egyptians and lead them out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the country of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 13 "But," said Moses to God, "when I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' if they ask me, 'What is his name?' what am I to tell them?" 14 5 God replied, "I am who am." Then he added, "This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you." 15 God spoke further to Moses, "Thus shall you say to the Israelites: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. "This is my name forever; this is my title for all generations.
Psalms
Chapter 103 1 Of David. 1 Bless the LORD, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God, 3 Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills, 4 Delivers your life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion, 6 The LORD does righteous deeds, brings justice to all the oppressed. 7 His ways were revealed to Moses, mighty deeds to the people of Israel. 8 Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger, abounding in kindness. 11 As the heavens tower over the earth, so God's love towers over the faithful.
1 Corinthians
Chapter 10 1 1 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea, 2 and all of them were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 All ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, 2 and the rock was the Christ. 5 Yet God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the desert. 6 3 These things happened as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil things, as they did. 10 Do not grumble as some of them did, and suffered death by the destroyer. 11 These things happened to them as an example, and they have been written down as a warning to us, upon whom the end of the ages has come. 4 12 Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall. 5
Luke
Chapter 13 1 1 2 At that time some people who were present there told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices. 2 He said to them in reply, "Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? 3 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! 4 Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them 3 --do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? 5 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!" 6 4 And he told them this parable: "There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none, 7 he said to the gardener, 'For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. (So) cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?' 8 He said to him in reply, 'Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; 9 it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.'"

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
Moses, with his first recorded experience in leading a flock across a desert, came to the Mountain of God. One of The Programmer's assistants appeared to him in a burning bush, the flames existing independently of the combustibles. Moses said, "I must see why the usual programming rules have been put in abeyance." and went over to look at it.
When The Programmer saw Moses coming to examine it, He called out to him, and Moses answered, "Here I am (investigating the most curious programming I've ever seen.)"
"Don't come any closer!", the Programmer ordered. "Take off your shoes so you may absorb My Programming Power from the holy ground. I am The Loving Programmer of All, worshipped by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."
Moses hid his face, He was afraid the power would destroy him. The Programmer told him, "I've seen how the government has abused My people in Egypt and heard their complaints about those who have enslaved them, so I know what they're suffering. So, I'm going to rescue them from the corrupt government, and take them them into a rich land, occupied by peoples whom I will erase for My people.
Moses was worried. "If I tell them You have sent me to them, and they ask what Your Name is, what do I tell them?"
The Loving Programmer of All said, "I am Who am.", adding, "Tell the Tribes, I AM sent me to you."
continuing, "You will tell them, 'The Programmer of All, the God of your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, this is My Title for all (of the Chosen People) to come.
"My soul, recognize the power and love of The Programmer (Who programmed you) and bless Him and His Holy Name!
Bless The Programmer, o that part of me formed in His image, and don't forget all the programming assistance He provided you (giving you life, itself).
"(O, my soul, don't forget that) He erases your sins, reprograms over your errors, provides assistance to save you, and surrounds you with His love for you.
The Programmer does good things, and brings justice to those whose programs have been curtailed. He showed Moses and the Tribes what He could do. The Programmer is merciful and gracious, and doesn't anger quickly, overflowing in kindness. As the higher programs are greater than the lower, so is The Loving Programmer's love over those who believe and obey His operating instructions.
Remember and consider, fellow downloaders of His Operating Instructions, that our ancestors were protected by The Loving Programmer's power, and walked through the sea beneath The Programmer Who appeared in the form of a cloud. They were baptized into the same Grace given Moses in the cloud and the sea. They downloaded the very same spiritual gifts of food and drink, programmed by The Programmer for them. (They did not realize) it was actually Christ Who saved them.
But, The Programmer was not please with the vain, and erased many of them along the way. He did that so we'd know that we should avoid evil and complaining so that we won't be corrupted and erased by the virus. These things were an example and a warning to us who will live until this present, and last, age comes to an end. Those who think they're secure (have them for an example) and should be careful not to fall (and be erased).
Some people told Jesus (The Program, in living, perfect, obedient human form) about some in Galilee who were murdered by Pilate during their services. He replied, "Do you think the ones he killed were greater sinners than the others in Galilee? No! But, if you do not attempt to rewrite your own programs so that they are in compliance with His, you will die the same way (you won't be delivered from a corrupt government), but will die, relating to the prior reading! Do you think that the 18 people killed in the tower collapse at Siloam were more guilty than all the others in Jerusalem? No! But, I, (The Living Program of The Living Programmer, in human form) tell you, if you don't repent of your own programming errors, your programs will be erased, just as theirs were!" Then, He told them the parable
about a person with a fig tree in his garden that bore no fruit. He said to the gardener, "For three years, (three ages of man?) I've come to look for fruit on this fig tree. I found none, so cut it down." The gardener replied, "Sir, leave it for this year (the last age of the ages of man), also, and I'll cultivate the ground around it (so the moisture won't be lost to evaporation, but will water the tree, and I'll give it additional food. (Then) it may bear fruit. If it doesn't, you can cut it down."
(The owner, The Programmer, gave He Who was in charge of the earth (The Program, Who, in human form, was Jesus Christ) an opportunity to water, with His Blood, the tree that would produce fruit (people who chose to obey The Programmer). |
