Reading 1

Is 61:1-3a, 6a, 8b-9

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,

because the LORD has anointed me;

He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly,

to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives

and release to the prisoners,

To announce a year of favor from the LORD

and a day of vindication by our God,

to comfort all who mourn;

To place on those who mourn in Zion

a diadem instead of ashes,

To give them oil of gladness in place of mourning,

a glorious mantle instead of a listless spirit.

You yourselves shall be named priests of the LORD,

ministers of our God shall you be called.

I will give them their recompense faithfully,

a lasting covenant I will make with them.

Their descendants shall be renowned among the nations,

and their offspring among the peoples;

All who see them shall acknowledge them

R.          (2)  For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.

“I have found David, my servant;

with my holy oil I have anointed him.

That my hand may always be with him;

and that my arm may make him strong.”

R.          For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.

“My faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him;

and through my name shall his horn be exalted.

He shall say of me, ‘You are my father,

my God, the Rock, my savior!’“

[Grace to you and peace] from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,

the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his Blood,

who has made us into a Kingdom, priests for his God and Father,

to him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.

Behold, he is coming amid the clouds,

and every eye will see him,

even those who pierced him.

All the peoples of the earth will lament him.

Yes. Amen.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,

Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had grown up,

and went according to his custom

into the synagogue on the sabbath day.

He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah.

He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

because he has anointed me

to bring glad tidings to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives

and recovery of sight to the blind,

to let the oppressed go free,

and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.

Rolling up the scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down,

              and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at him.

He said to them,

Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:

The Holy Wireless Connector has connected me with The Programmer because The Programmer has authorized me to download Him.  He's sent me to bring good news to the poor and depressed, to restore the programs of those damaged, to explain that true freedom is found in Him. 

He's told me that The Programmer is going to restore every program and ennoble every human program who believes in Him and His goodness.

He has personally told me that there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be depressed, worried, or tired.

In fact, you who believe are chosen for the highest honor, to tell others about Him, and you shall be His programming assistants (like angels).

He will reward you, and He will (as with Abraham) make a lasting operating agreement with His faithful. He has established an hereditary kingdom with your descendants as rulers among the nations.  All who see those who faithfully follow His Operating Instructions will acknowledge them as having been given power by The Loving Programmer.

I will spend eternity joyfully praising The Loving Programmer's goodness!

"I found my human programming assistant, David, and have given him the access code so that He may have My strength with him. (As with Jesus)."

I will spend eternity joyfully praising the Loving Programmer's goodness!

"I, The Loving Programmer, will continually download within him My faithfulness and My mercy.  Through (the power of) My name shall his power be praised.  He will say that 'You, O Loving Programmer of all, You have created my individual program, and in You I am safe forever!"

I will spend eternity praising the Loving Programmers's goodness!"

Jesus Christ, the Living Program Who took human form in total obedience to The Loving Programmer, is a witness to all truth, (proven by the fact that He is) the first of the dead to have His program restored and taken to The Programmer, thereby ruling earthly kings with impermanent programs.  We glorify Him Who loved us enough to die for us, reconciling our individual human programs to The Loving Programmer by the Holy Blood He shed for us.  He has make us into a Kingdom, serving The Loving Programmer, (The Writer of The Program is one with The Program), glorified forever, so be it.

Behold, He (when The Program has run that far in its course) is coming among the clouds, and every single person will see (and understand) what He is, even those who (hated and) killed Him.  Every person on earth will be sorry (that they did not love and obey).  Yes, it will be so.

"I am the Beginning and the End.", The Loving Programmer/Program/Holy Wireless Connector (lets everyone know).  (I am) The One Who is, Who was, and Who will come, the most powerful Being there is, (Programmer of all)."

Jesus Christ (The Living Program in human form in complete obedience to The Loving Programmer) came to his childhood town, and went, according to His custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath.  He stood up to read (and by the power of The Programmer) was given Isaiah, and went to the passage that Isaiah had been given to predict His coming:

"The Holy Wireless Connector has joined me to The Programmer told my to share what I have been allowed to access within The Program.  I am bringing good news to the poor, liberty to captives, and sight to those who can't see, freeing the oppressed, and proclaiming this the year that has been programmed by The Loving Programmer."

He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the assistant, and sat down.  Everyone was staring at Him, knowing something was coming.  Then, He said to them, "Today, this prediction, which was downloaded to Isaiah centuries ago, has come to pass."
