Why some people become environmentalists: the LIE acronym.

Friday, August 10, 2012 · Posted In: Current Events, Daily Column, History

Everyone wants higher salaries.  In a free market, there’s freewheeling automation hitting every commercial activity.   Jobs are being created and destroyed at a rapid rate.

Those who are the least secure in such systems know, somewhere inside, that they really aren’t bright enough to create and help in the creation of new products.  Rather than admit they can’t build, they tear down.

An obvious place to tear down things?  Any form of energy.  By definition, energy requires control, whether of pistons or electrons.  Less intelligent, Envious (LIE) People know they can’t meaningfully participate in any energy-related operations.  They lack the intelligence to figure out anything complicated, but want to be paid as if they were able to do so.

They gravitate to secure, tenure-type systems.  There, they amass enough political power to enslave the smarter, productive people.  The public schools are so bloated with such folks that there’s no more opportunities, there.

But, energy still provides jobs for whiners, complainers, regulators, and criticizers.  Every form of energy needs specialists to demonize it.  So, that’s what the LIE people do, demonize energy.  When we wonder why some people become environmentalists:  the LIE acronym offers the most accurate answer.
