We learn how God protects His obedient believers in 2 Kings 19:9-11, 14-21, 31-36. That is when the undefeated Assyrian army tried to defeat the Kingdom of Judah in 701 BC. When Hezekiah saw what Sennacherib threatened, he asked God for help. “Truly O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands, and cast their gods into the fire… Therefore O LORD, our God, save us from the power of this man, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You, alone, O LORD, are God.”
Another “Hidden Prophecy” from Genesis 14:18 came true! Hezekiah lived in Jerusalem. That is “The City of God” where Melchizedek gave “bread and wine” to victorious Abraham in that “Hidden Prophecy” of the first Catholic Communion in Genesis 14-18 in 2,000 BC!
1,300 years later, God saved Jerusalem, and those children of Abraham who had remained faithful to the original Jewish faith built on “bread and wine” from Melchizedek. The unfaithful Israelis in the Northern Kingdom had been conquered and deported to punish them for their willful disobedience to God, Abraham, and Moses!
Catholics are blessed to be the only people on earth who see more in that “Hidden Prophecy”! Every Catholic Priest on earth has been“Ordained in The Order of Melchizedek” for the past 2,000 years! Those blessed to ask God to let them Think Clearly about that have an easier time “Being Catholic!”
Proof of Melchizedek’s ongoing authority: “That night, the angel of The LORD went forth and struck down 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp. So, Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, broke camp and went home to Nineveh.” The children of Abraham who remained faithful to God are still blessed by “bread and wine” that came from God and Melchizedek and He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies! Amazing how hard some people will work to not “Think Clearly” about that!
Psalm 48; 2-4, 10-11 is Today’s “Hidden Prophecy” of what God did and would do: “God upholds His city forever.” Those blessed to dwell in God’s city always obey the call from Moses and Jesus to “Love God and our neighbors as ourselves.”
Those who obey that ancient instruction see it is a “Hidden Prophecy” of today’s “Alleluia” from John 8:12, “‘I am the light of the world’, says the Lord; ‘whoever follows Me will have the light of life.'” That is a “Hidden Prophecy” telling us that those who refuse to “follow” Jesus are left with the “darkness of death”.
Hmmm.
Today’s Reading ends with the most frightening “Hidden Prophecy” of all! May Matthew 7:6, 12-14 be as clear to every person in the world as it is to Catholics who are blessed to see both The Love and The Power of The Loving Programmer Who wrote The Creation Program and every individual “Replicating Free Will Program” whom the Holy Spirit downloads in The Creation Program.
“Jesus said to His disciples: ‘Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.‘Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. ‘This is the Law and the Prophets: ‘Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.”
The “Hidden Prophecy” in That Word of God specifically “leads to” The Call to Catholic Communion and The Living Presence of God in Catholics by The Miracle of Transubstantiation, which Jesus specifically confirmed by repeating 14 times: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood, you do not have life in you.”
May all be blessed to “find” and live by The Call to “Be Catholic!” that still echoes in the Church-Creating Word that He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies Spoke to His First Catholic Pope in The Son’s “update” of The Father’s Decree: “Let there be light and there was light!”
“And I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
