A “Hidden Catholic Prophecy” explains why many people avoid “Being Catholic!” St. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 that he did not “come with sublimity of words or of wisdom”. Instead, he focused on “Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.”
Established orders love their “sublime words or wisdom”! They hate to hear the gentle suggestion that: “your faith might rest not on human wisdom, but on the Power of God.”
Many “established orders” hate to hear what a blessing it is to love God enough to “Be Catholic!” They reject the one and only “Faith” that “rests” on The Church-Creating Word that He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies Spoke to His First Catholic Pope! “And I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
Today, Psalm 119: 98-102 also tells us to “Put God First”! “Lord, I love Your commands… It is my meditation all the day… Your command has made me wiser than my enemies… I have more understanding than all my teachers… I have more discernment than the elders… From Your ordinances I turn not away…”
Today’s “Alleluia”, from Luke 4:16-30, tells us what Jesus said: “The Spirit of The Lord is upon Me; He has sent Me to bring glad tidings to the poor.” Helpful notes about that Passage in https://bible.usccb.org/bible/luke/4?16 let us know that “the poor are the downtrodden, the oppressed and afflicted, the forgotten and the neglected.”
People in the synagogue of Nazareth “spoke highly of Jesus” until He reminded them that God did not send His Prophets to them. Elijah helped just “one widow in the land of Sidon” and Elisha cured only “one leper from Syria”.
The prosperous Nazarenes are a “Hidden Catholic Prophecy” foretelling all who would hate Jesus for saying that God loved the “poor and afflicted” more than them. How did they react?
“When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built (Catholics know History: all such towns began as ‘hilltop forts’ built to protect their earliest residents), to hurl Him down headlong.
That is a “Hidden Catholic Prophecy”! It predicts how angry mobs of self-centered people would react to Catholic priests, religious, and people for the next 2,000 years. They are disliked for honoring the Holy Catholic Vows of Celibacy, Poverty, and Obedience that bless them to be living Gifts of God as they do their Holy Work among the poor.
Then, another “Hidden Catholic Prophecy”! “But, He passed through the midst of them and went away.”
That foretells all who strive to be among the billions of Catholics blessed to follow Him by seeing that Our Catholic Duty in Life is to have also “passed through the midst of them and went away”.
That may be one of the most important “Hidden Catholic Prophecies” in the entire Bible!
