Few things in The Bible are as depressing as The Book of Lamentations 2:2, 10-14, 18-19! We see what God does to those led by disobedient people. “The Lord has consumed without pity all the dwellings of Jacob; He has torn down in His anger the fortresses of daughter Judah; He has brought to the ground in dishonor her king and her princes.”
Yesterday, we saw what happens in every nation led by those who looted their neighbors for personal gain in the past 3,476 years. Their nations have been destroyed. “On the ground in silence sit the old men of daughter Zion; they strew dust on their heads and gird themselves with sackcloth; the maidens of Jerusalem bow their heads to the ground… As child and infant faint away in the open spaces of the town… In vain, they ask their mothers: ‘Where is the grain?”
We learn what causes those collapses! “Your prophets had for you false and specious visions; they did not lay bare your guilt to avert your fate… “ In every failed and fallen nation, those pretending to be “prophets” are hired to hide the damage their greedy, gluttonous employers inflict to make their neighbors poorer.
These questions were asked and answered in Psalm 74: 2-7, 20-21: “Why, O God, have you cast us off forever? Why does Your anger smoulder against the sheep of Your pasture?…” The answer: “Your foes roar triumphantly in Your shrine;… they are like men coming up with axes to a clump of trees… Lord, forget not the souls of your poor ones.”

Today’s “Alleluia” is the same as yesterday’s, from Matthew 8:27, because The Church wants to remind us that “Christ took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.” That passage confirms that Jesus fulfilled all the MessianicProphecies of Isaiah 53:4-12.
Jesus cured many, far and near, in Matthew 8:5-17. First, Jesus cured the “suffering servant” of a Roman centurion. When Jesus said, “I will come and cure him.”, the centurion said, “Lord I am not worthy to have You enter under my roof; 0nly say the word and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me.”
That understanding was a miracle! Jesus Christ, Himself, for the only time in the Bible, was “amazed”! “When Jesus heard this, He was amazed and said to those following Him, ‘Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith!'”
Only Catholics see the “Hidden Prophecy” in That Word of Jesus! It predicts why the First Catholic Pope moved the headquarters of The Church Spoken Into Being by Christ’s Word to him to Rome! “And I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
Jesus and the first Pope of His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church clearly preferred the “obedience” of Rome to the flood of battling self-worshipers overcome by pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth (the seven tribes of demons described by the new Catholic word: “peggalas”) would bring about the literal flattening of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
Peter moved The Catholic Church to the Capital of the Roman Empire because it had been built upon the best understanding of the importance of “Obedience” since 753 BC! The “Hidden Prophecy”? Those who reject The Catholic Church have let themselves be led to prefer “disobedience” to the only Church-Creating Word of Jesus!
Jesus is not “amazed” by them!
