May we blessed to be among the most “Childlike” of the “Children of God” #18.

From the Book of Job to Jesus to The Catholic Church today, may we all be blessed to be as "childlike" as we can!

Job 38:1, 12-21, 40:3-5 is God’s Word that begins with simple questions that separates His Followers from those who reject His Guidance in the “storm” of our days on earth:

Question 1:  “The LORD addressed Job out of the storm and said:  ‘Have you ever in your lifetime commanded the morning and shown the dawn its place for taking hold of the ends of the earth, until the wicked are shaken from its surface?'”

Answer:  No one has ever done that!  Then, The Loving Programmer tells us how complicated The Creation Program is and what it was Downloaded to do:

“The earth is changed as is clay by the seal, and dyed as though it were a garment;  but from the wicked the light is withheld, and the arm of pride is shattered.”

Question 2, 3, 4:  “Have you entered into the sources of the sea, or walked about in the sources of the sea or walked about in the depths of the abyss?”

Amswer:  If we are smart enough to correctly answer, “No.“, God asks us:

Question 5, 6, & 7:  “Have the gates of death been shown to you, or have you seen the gates of darkness?  Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth?

Answer:  “No one understands the complexity of The Creation Program.”

Question 8, 9: “Tell Me, if you know all:  Which is the way to the dwelling place of light, and where is the abode of darkness tht you may take them to their boundaries and set them on their homeward paths?”

Job’s Answer has blessed Catholics for the past 2,000 years to know we should keep our mouths shut when God is Speaking to us until we learn Job’s answer!  “Then Job answered The LORD and said:  ‘Behold, I am of little account; what can I answer You?  I put my hand over my mouth.'”

Since we know we cannot answer God’s Questions to Job, we turn to Today’s Psalm 130: 1-3, 7-10, 13-14 and are blessed to turn our inability to answer into a Prayer for God’s Help!  “Guide me, Lord, along the everlasting way.”!

Today’s Psalms help us to “Be as Catholic as we can!”: “O LORD, you have probed me, and You know me… You understand my thoughts from afar… Truly you have formed my inmost being; You knit me in my mother’s womb… I give You thanks that I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  wonderful are Your works…”

Next:  There is A Catholic Miracle in Today’s Reading!  Catholics see that God is telling us the blessed nature of His angels is shared by our priests and religious in Today’s “Alleluia”, from Psalm 103:21, “Bless the LORD, all you angels, you ministers, who do His will.”

We are blessed by those who “minister” to us and encourage our respectful obedience to The Church-Creating Word that He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies Spoke to His First Catholic Pope:

“And I say unto you:  ‘Thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”

Today’s Bible Reading ends with the Gospel from Matthew 18:1-5, 20 that continues Job’s questions, 2,000 years before!

Question 10: “The disciples approached Jesus and said, ‘Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?'”

Answer:  “He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, ‘Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter The Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.'”

Then, Jesus tells us to “Be as Catholic as we can!”:  “Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in The Kingdom of Heaven.  And, whoever receives one child such as this in My Name receives Me.”

Then, Jesus specifically tells us to be as “Pro-Life” as Catholic Teaching always is:

“‘See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in Heaven always look upon the face of My Heavenly Father.'”
