The Bible has many reasons to “Be Catholic!” Today, we see that John 14:23 is such a simple reason to “Be Catholic!” that it is Today’s “Alleluia”!
“Whoever loves Me will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him.”
Catholics see there may be truth in the opposite! “Whoever hates Me will not keep My Word, and My Father will hate him, and we will not come to him.”
~
Catholics love God and our neighbors so much that we pray that all will “keep His Words” from John 14:23 and also “keep” The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope in Mt. 16:18-20,
“And, I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
May all be blessed to see that “Word” shining with the light of “Whoever loves Me will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him.”
Jesus gives another call to “keep His Word” in Today’s Gospel from Mt. 12:46-50 by asking two simple questions: “‘Who is My Mother? Who are My brothers?'” Then, He answered His question!
“And, stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, ‘Here are My Mother and My Brothers. For whoever does the will of My Heavenly Father is My Brother, and Sister, and Mother.'”
Catholics are blessed to see something more in that Bible Passage: “The ‘Mothers’ of Catholic priests, religious, and families are among the most beloved women in Heaven.”
~
Today’s Simple Rhyme: “Most blessed are the Mothers / of God’s Sisters and Brothers.”
