Micah 6:1-4 & 6-8 tell us how to be “upright” enough to be saved from God’s wrath. First, “Hear what the LORD says… “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you:” Second: “only to do the right and,” Third: “to love goodness and,” Fourth: “to walk humbly with God.”
Today’s “Alleluia” is from Psalm 95:8 and tells us the first step in beginning to “walk humbly with God”: “If today you hear His Voice, harden not your hearts.”
That is a “Hidden Catholic Prophecy” that connects with Today’s Gospel from Mt 12: 38-42 about those who pretend not to have “hardened hearts”! “Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.'”
Jesus tells us how to identify those with “hardened hearts”! “He said to them in reply, ‘An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the Prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.”
We may learn something interesting about anti-Catholics. They are all given this “sign” of the Only Church that He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies Spoke Into Being with His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope:
“And, I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Those who ask for a “sign” about that have chosen to “harden their hearts” so much they cannot realize The Seven Catholic Sacraments, Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and Holy Orders have been blessing Catholic minds and souls with those “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” for the past 2,000 years.
May all be blessed to see that “Hidden Catholic Prophecy” from He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies.
