Today’s Catholic History Lesson from 2 Kings 25:1-12, is fascinating! In 930 BC, early Protestants abandoned the Temple in Jerusalem. They returned to the “Golden Calf” their ancestors had worshiped while Moses was on the mountain with God around 1,450 BC, 3,476 years ago! It became their religion in Samaria. In 722 BC, God had them captured and deported by the Assyrians.
In 587 BC, 135 years later, some disobedient Jewish people in Jerusalem were so offensive to God that he let Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, take them away. Babylonian forces flattened the city walls and destroyed every large building within, including the Temple.
After losing freedom and property, many of them still had enough love for God to fulfill the “Hidden Prophesy” of Psalm 137:1-6, “Let my tongue be silenced if I ever forget You!”
Those defeats of God’s disobedient people are understood in Today’s Catholic Gospel from Matthew 8:17, “Christ took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
Jesus took away the “infirmities” and spiritual “diseases” that let those whose souls would be saved have “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”. The mind and soul-saving cure of He Who Fulfilled hundreds of Messianic Prophecies is clear in His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope!
“And, I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
That did not cure self-loving, disobedient Tribes from the pride that brought God’s Wrath upon them for the third time! Almost forty years after Jesus was Crucified, in 33 AD, many early Catholics remained in Jerusalem. Around 66 AD, vanity drove their rulers to attack Roman Legions!
The vanity that led them to disobey God ended up in their total defeat. Vespasian flattened Jerusalem on September 2, 70 AD. The Temple, walls, and buildings were destroyed after God let the Jerusalem Catholics escape to Pella. The survivors were killed or sold into slavery. Some were enslaved to build the Colosseum in Rome, a temple to the life-wasting lunacy of deadly sports! That was 47 years after the rulers of Jerusalem crucified He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies predicting His birth, life, and death. Today, we are blessed! Billions of people on earth can search the internet for “Prophecies Predicting Jesus” and see that hundreds of those Prophecies were Fulfilled!
Today, Catholics are the only people to correctly connect 3,476 years of History with the “Hidden Prophecy” in Mt. 8:1-4. “When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him. And then a leper approached, did Him homage, and said: ‘Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.'”
Catholics know that “leprosy” symbolizes every sin that eats away at the body, mind, and soul. Every “leper” can have enough love of being “clean” to ask Jesus for the help He can give: “He stretched out His hand, touched him, and said, ‘I will do it. Be made clean.’ His leprosy was cured immediately.”
That is a “Hidden Prophecy” of The Catholic Sacrament of Confession/Absolution. Jesus empowered His Catholic priests to “stretch out and cure” all the sins symbolized by “leprosy” in John 20:23: “Those whose sins you forgive are forgiven.”
May all be blessed to respect He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies enough to “Be Catholic!” and have our sins forgiven by Catholic priests whom God has blessed with That Incredible Power on Earth.
Today’s Connection between God’s Old and New Testaments is clear to Catholics! We see that “leprosy” of the mind and soul comes from “peggalas”.
“peggalas” is The New Catholic Word that condenses the seven deadly sins of pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth into one word. When too many reject God’s Power to cure those sins, all are reduced to slavery. Every person on earth can see that many once-Catholic countries of Europe are being destroyed by the destructive confusion of “peggalas” that keeps them from “Being Catholic!” as their people fall farther into slavery.
A simple, Catholic question: “Are those who invented and mandated Protestant Marketing Plans for their personal gain for the past 3,476 years responsible for allowing unborn children to be sacrificed on the altar of convenience and causing God to turn His Face from those who refuse to love Him and their neighbors as themselves?”
