Jeremiah 3: 14-17 tells us that some people will be chosen by God and be set free from earthly chains:
“‘Return, rebellious children,’ says the LORD, ‘for I am your Master; I will take you, one from a city, two from a clan, and bring you to Zion. I will appoint over you shepherds after My own heart, who will shepherd you wisely and prudently.'”
Jeremiah was predicting Catholic converts and the Catholic priests, religious, and teachers who are our “shepherds” in the “Zion” that would take form in His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church!
For 2,000 years, some have been so blessed by The Miracle of Jesus Fulfilling hundreds of Messianic Prophecies that we saw and understood the simple fact: “God’s Love and Mercy have taken human form. He let Himself be sacrificed to bring His Catholic Church to earth!” This is His properly punctuated Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope:
“And, I say unto you: ‘Thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”
Every Catholic in every following generation is the blessed fulfillment of those prophesied to be among the “one from a city, two from a clan” who are blessed to “Be Catholic!” and get “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”. Those “keys” include The Seven Catholic Sacraments! We must “proclaim” the soul-saving miracles provided by Baptism, Confesion/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and God’s Holy Orders, which take human form in all blessed to obey them!
God promises He will protect we who are blessed to be in His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church with this Prophecy from Jeremiah 31:10-13: “The Lord will guard us as a shepherd guides his flock.” Catholics are blessed to “Hear the Word of The LORD…” And we “proclaim it on distant isles, and say: ‘He Who scattered Israel now gathers them together…'”
Today, our “Alleluia” from Luke 8:15 lets us see The Bible’s Blessing to every Catholic on earth! “Blessed are they who have kept the Word with a generous heart and yield a harvest through perseverance.”
Jesus warns us in Today’s Gospel, from Matthew 13:18-23, that Catholics must not let ourselves among these “lost souls” who did not “keep the Word”:
“The seed sown among thorns is the one who heard the Word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word, and it bears no fruit.”
