What is the point of Protestantism?

Jesus told His priests, “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”  We receive Absolution from those ordained in living link with His ordination of The Apostles.  Then, we obey His Great Winnowing Instruction:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

By His Miracle of Transubstantiation, The Catholic Church has provided The Actual Body and Blood of Jesus at every Mass since The Last Supper.  Church Doctrines, unchanged for 2,000 years are consistent.  No other denomination has that.

What is the point of Protestantism?  That’s even harder to answer when we consider its economic effects.

Protestant denominations require a donation $26.00 from each person attending  service.  Some insist on “10% of pre-tax income!”  Catholics are not embarrassed to put a few dollars in the collection.  That’s it!

In a lifetime of giving, many Catholic families save a quarter of a million dollars.  They spend it on their families.

It gets worse as we step back.  The total excess that Protestants pay, with their $26.00 per service requirement, is staggering!

Get out your calculator!  About 20% of the 300,000,000 Americans go to Church for a weekly service.  Of those 60,000,000 church attendees, about half are Catholic.

So, 30,000,000 Protestant Americans are each urged to put $26.00 in their weekly collection.  It is a staggering $780,000,000.00 a week!

Multiply that by 4 weeks in a month.  Protestants pay out about 3,120,000,000 per month!

We multiply again, and find the yearly take to be an astonishing 40,560,000,000 a year.  Over forty billion dollars!

In ten years, it’s almost half a trillion dollars!

Catholic donations require less than half as much.  Our Protestant friends miss the opportunity for Absolution and The Body and Blood of Jesus.  And, they are made poorer.
