“But you must do what the word tells you”

nail-through-hand

James 1:22 tells us to be Catholic: “But you must do what the word tells you, and not just listen to it and deceive yourselves.” Is there a better description of those who shun The Only Church Jesus Founded for one of the 43,000 schisms preferred by those who “just listen to it (the word) and deceive themselves”?

“But you must do what the word tells you” tell us to be Catholic? Yes! Jesus said to one man, one time “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The Word also tells us “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” The Only Church He Founded cannot be wrong when it claims the power to change bread and wine into His Body and Blood at each Mass following The Last Supper. We know The Church is right in its claimi because He said “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Can anyone fully understand that and not be Catholic?

Do we need to share that obviousness with those lost among the 43,000 Marketing Plans successful enough to have taken denominational form? Yes! Those who knowingly refuse to believe Jesus’ oft-repeated instruction, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” need to know they run the risk of death, here and forever.

Why do people deceive themselves rather than obey “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”? How can they ignore what He said so often and so forcefully while claiming, “I believe in Jesus. I think He is God. And, I am going to Heaven.”

We who see how horribly contradictory Protestantism is have a duty that James 5:19-20 makes clear: “My brothers, if one of you strays away from the truth, and another rings him back to it, he may be sure that anyone who can bring back a sinner from the wrong way that he has taken will be saving a soul from death and covering up a great number of sins.”

We must share these steps to Catholicism to bring back others while “covering up a great number of sins” of which we are guilty.
