In Miracle of The Transfiguration, Peter, John, and James were allowed to see Jesus as He is: Pure Light. “In Him there is no darkness at all.” describes Jesus in His Perfection.

Peter, John, and James prove that His most faithful disciples see His Perfection.

We compare our own souls with the pure, unsullied Light of Jesus. We recoil in horror at the dark desires within. Our thoughts are living proof that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.

Thoughts in our mind in even an hour include pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth. In any given hour! Such thoughts darken our soul.

We see how horribly short we have fallen. We turn to He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies. In every generation, He Ordains priests in The Only Church He Founded with the authority to forgive sins. John 20:23 echoes Mt. 16: 18-20, “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”

True believers believe Jesus was right, so we confess our sins to a Catholic Priest. Our sins are forgiven. We are absolved. Our souls are freed from darkness.

Soon, like the dog returning to its vomit, we will have sinful thoughts. Frequent Confession keeps them from growing in our minds as fruitless trees that darken our soul, ruin our mind, and destroy our body.

What keeps others from obeying He Whom they profess to follow? What awful darkness keeps people from seeing the truth that can only be in The Only Church He Founded? What makes people ignore “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”?

The darkness of self-worship leads the lost to live like this: “I believe in Jesus but I do not believe in The Only Church He Founded because I know better than Jesus.”
