Calvin taught: “The rich are the elect of God.” Catholics teach: “Love your neighbor.” We must choose. History whispers “Be Catholic!”

Calvin’s Marketing Plan still echoes on every TV show where followers promise: “God wants you to be rich and get to Heaven.”

Those urged to “Send in some seed money that will multiply sixty or a hundred-fold for you!” are not being reminded that Jesus clearly said: “If you want to be perfect, sell what you have, give the money to the poor, and follow Me.”

Protestantism’s “God wants you to pray and get rich!” conflicts with Jesus’ clear instruction.

This indicates the real separation. Catholicism teaches “We must strive to obey all that Jesus taught.”

In Protestantism, “Give me some money and I will tell you what you want to hear.” is more commonly heard among their 43,000 Marketing Plans that have taken denominational form.

History is clear. At the first Thanksgiving, combat veterans among the Pilgrims realized: “We have guns. The Indians don’t. We can get rich taking their land!”

America’s Protestant Establishment splintered as it grew wealthy and powerful. It did not stop the killing. Many gave tacit encouragement to the virtual extermination of North America’s Indians. The relentless Westward sweep grabbed land for farming. Less obvious were rich mines of gold, silver, iron, copper, lead, coal, and zinc. Oil and natural gas made the plunder even more profitable.

The acquisition costs? Pennies per acre.

Much of Protestantism’s hostility toward Catholics comes from knowing: “The Catholic Church obeyed Christ’s command to ‘Love God and your neighbor as yourself.’ so much better than we did that Central and South America’s Catholic nations have 85% of their people with Indian DNA. We sold out for money.”

In our generation, abortion kills the defenseless. Again, The Catholic Church is completely committed to Pro-Life work. In every age: History whispers “Be Catholic!” to all who are Pro-Life.
