“If It Weren’t For Soccer, I Coulda Been Somebody.”

Had Thomas Edison’s mother been so status-driven as to encourage him to play soccer, his brain would have lost the edge that allowed him to invent the thousand things that brought light and sound to the world.

It’s not a popular subject of discussion, but Americans actually are smarter than those of other nationalities. The reason is simple. Smarter people in other countries wanted to live where they could get ahead. For centuries, the only place for smart people to go was America. Since intelligence is largely hereditary, American IQs simply have to be, on average, higher than those in other countries.

The enemies of intelligence, within and without, do what they can to dumb us down. When they can bamboozle generations of Americans into playing soccer, our nation is made less. Millions of young people will never be as smart as they otherwise would have been.

Their own parents encouraged this destruction of individual potential. Now, more and more former soccer players are unable to find jobs that other former soccer players are unable to provide.

The enemies of intelligence are no brighter than they were, but they have fewer smarter people questioning them. The enemies of freedom and intelligence want more people playing soccer.
