We All Have, to Varying Degrees, a Hard Time Telling Press Releases from Reality.

When we consider how something as harmless as eating a few extra grams of sugar or salt every has been turned into a problem that causes many to worry, we see Press Releases at work.  Most of our opinions about the things and people around us are formed by press releases.

On the other hand, something as detrimental to the function of a child’s mind as having it’s skull pummeled by hard soccer balls is not widely publicized.  The press releases concerning soccer don’t mention the damage that it does to the brains of those who head soccer balls.

As a result, tens of millions of parents and children are distracted.  They are led to worry about inconsequential things while ignoring that which is truly harmful.

It’s a spiritual problem, cause by a lack of wisdom, to better see reality, and courage, which allows those blessed with it to act on what their wisdom tells them is true.

As usual with problems, The Gifts of The Holy Spirit lead to understanding and solving problems.  Since asking God for help has few press releases recommending it, too few of us avail ourselves of the greatest resource we have during our days in the clay.
