“Knowledge” is Usually Based on One or Two Carefully Invented “Facts”.

Any person’s opinions are invariably based on what are believed to be “facts”. We hear them frequently. “If levels of carbon dioxide rise above 350 parts per million, the earth is in serious trouble.” is such a “fact”. Another, “We have reached ‘peak oil’. There is no more. Our standard of living must decline.”

Those who invent such “facts” are paid to do so. Disseminators of such “facts”, likewise, are paid to do so. The corruption of truth forms the basis of the “media”. Every happening is quickly altered or enlarged to get across the desired point that those in the Culture of Lies want to make.

They are successful because those receiving the lies are vain. “I want to be thought of as intelligent, so I will repeat what I learn from the media. Then, I will think that I am smart. And, other people will think I am smart.”

Few things in life are more enjoyable than listening to some nincompoop who’s just watched a TV show, “learned” some “facts”, and solemnly repeats them as if he or she actually knows something profound.
