Reading 1 Wis 6:12-16
Resplendent and unfading is wisdom,
and she is readily perceived by those who love her,
and found by those who seek her.
She hastens to make herself known in anticipation of their desire;
Whoever watches for her at dawn shall not be disappointed,
for he shall find her sitting by his gate.
For taking thought of wisdom is the perfection of prudence,
and whoever for her sake keeps vigil
shall quickly be free from care;
because she makes her own rounds, seeking those worthy of her,
and graciously appears to them in the ways,
and meets them with all solicitude.
Responsorial Psalm Ps 63:2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8
R. (2b) My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.
O God, you are my God whom I seek;
for you my flesh pines and my soul thirsts
like the earth, parched, lifeless and without water.
R. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.
Thus have I gazed toward you in the sanctuary
to see your power and your glory,
For your kindness is a greater good than life;
my lips shall glorify you.
R. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.
Thus will I bless you while I live;
lifting up my hands, I will call upon your name.
As with the riches of a banquet shall my soul be satisfied,
and with exultant lips my mouth shall praise you.
R. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.
I will remember you upon my couch,
and through the night-watches I will meditate on you:
You are my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy.
R. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.
Reading 2 1 Thes 4:13-18
We do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters,
about those who have fallen asleep,
so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose,
so too will God, through Jesus,
bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
Indeed, we tell you this, on the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive,
who are left until the coming of the Lord,
will surely not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself, with a word of command,
with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God,
will come down from heaven,
and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive, who are left,
will be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air.
Thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore, console one another with these words.
Gospel Mt 25:1-13
Jesus told his disciples this parable:
“The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins
who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
The foolish ones, when taking their lamps,
brought no oil with them,
but the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps.
Since the bridegroom was long delayed,
they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
At midnight, there was a cry,
‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps.
The foolish ones said to the wise,
‘Give us some of your oil,
for our lamps are going out.’
But the wise ones replied,
‘No, for there may not be enough for us and you.
Go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.’
While they went off to buy it,
the bridegroom came
and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him.
Then the door was locked.
Afterwards the other virgins came and said,
‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’
But he said in reply,
‘Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Therefore, stay awake,
for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
In Catholic Fundamentalism, “wisdom” is seen as closeness to The Program’s operating systems. Those who realize that only there can truth be found attempt to access, download, and operate their own, human programs in accord with The Program. The Program is alive, and knows this. The Operating System provides access to those who seek her, and never disappoints them.
The searcher gets farther within The Operating System as soon as he opens his mental doorway. Those who seek find peace.
The living access to the Operating System (The Holy Wireless Connector) looks for those who seek truth (who are thereby worthy), and graciously grants access to Program Awareness, helping out of concern for their increased closeness to The Loving Programmer.
R. The heart of my own program yearns for Yours, Loving Programmer of All.
O Loving Programmer, You are God, and You are what I seek. My own program yearns deeply for access to You, and will die without it.
R. The heart of my own program yearns for Yours, Loving Programmer of All.
When in Church, I look to Your Tabernacle, to see Your Power displayed in the Presence of Your Body. Allowing me to access You is more important than living among Your programmed entities.
R. The heart of my own program yearns for Yours, Loving Programmer of All.
I will praise You while living here, in Your Program. I will raise my hands to you, calling out for greater access. My soul will be as satisfied as my body is after after a great feast, and I will praise You.
R. The heart of my own program yearns for Yours, Loving Programmer of All.
Even resting, I think of You. Throughout the night, I think about You. You help my program, and in the shadow of Your Programming, I am elated.
R. The heart of my own program yearns for Yours, Loving Programmer of All.
We who believe should be aware that there is no reason to grieve over those whose souls have left their bodies.
Only those with no hope are sorrowful; not us. We believe that The Program took perfect, obedient human form and came to us in the person of Jesus Christ. He (The Program) was erased and perfectly restored by The Loving Programmer. In the same way, we will be brought to Him.
On God’s Word, we teach that we who are alive, remaining until His Coming, will not go to Heaven before those whose souls have already gone.
For The Loving Programmer, Himself, will order with (through) the voice of a Senior Programming Assistant and with the trumpet of God, (and) will come down to earth from Programming HQ.
The faithful believers who allied their programs with His will be raised from the dead. Then, we living believers will be taken up into the clouds with them to meet The Loving Programmer in the air. Thus, we shall always be with The Loving Programmer. Let us console each other with this knowledge.
Jesus told His disciples:
“Programming HQ is like ten believers who took their souls and went out to meet He Who would allow their human programs to live throughout time.
Five were foolish, five were wise.
The foolish ones brought their minds and bodies, but didn’t bring (enough) faith with them.
But, the wise ones brought faith to sustain their souls, even in the dark.
He who would allow them to live through time (a bridegroom gives his wife children) all the virgins got involved in varying degrees with things of the world.
At midnight (the hour pre-determined by The Creation Program), there was a cry, ‘Behold, He Who can let us live forever in joy with our programs unerased! Let’s go to Him!’
Then, all ten virgins got up and trimmed their lamps’ wicks (so they’d burn brightly, and be visible to Him), The foolish tried to get the smarter ones to give some of their oil (true faith & credit for good works) to them, but the wise ones said, ‘No, if we give you ours, we may not have enough for Him to see and grant access to our own souls. Go to the merchants (as if they could help!).’ Foolishly, they went off to try buy in the world what only God could provide. While they were on this fruitless mission, the Bridegroom came, and those who were ready were granted access into Programming HQ with Him.
Then, access was denied to all the other human programs.
Despite that, the foolish said, ‘Loving Programmer, grant us access!’
The Loving Programmer answered: ‘According to the Rules of The Program, I cannot recognize what you have made of your operating systems.’
Therefore, keep your human programs in contract with The Loving Programmer while you’re on earth. You don’t know when He will appear to grant access.”
