Mass during the Day
Reading 1
Acts 2:1-11
When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled,
they were all in one place together.
And suddenly there came from the sky
a noise like a strong driving wind,
and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire,
which parted and came to rest on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in different tongues,
as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem.
At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd,
but they were confused
because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
They were astounded, and in amazement they asked,
“Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans?
Then how does each of us hear them in his native language?
We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites,
inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,
Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia,
Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene,
as well as travelers from Rome,
both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs,
yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues
of the mighty acts of God.”

Brothers and sisters:
No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
there are different workings but the same God
who produces all of them in everyone.
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit
is given for some benefit.
As a body is one though it has many parts,
and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body,
so also Christ.
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body,
whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons,
and we were all given to drink of one Spirit.

On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the doors were locked, where the disciples were,
for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood in their midst
and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side.
The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.”
Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
In the time for harvest, the disciples were all in one place. The Holy Wireless Connector came down from Programming HQ to open the believers’ minds to the otherwise unsenseable wavelengths of The Loving Programmer. What they heard may be there all along, and they just heard it for the first time. Then, spiritual energy had coalesced over their heads in the form of flames. Their minds were instantaneously made to access The Holy Wireless Connector, and they began to speak in different languages as the HWC downloaded within them those languages.
There were devout (as opposed to disbelieving) Jews from every nation staying in Jerusalem. When they heard the sound, they gathered, the whole crowd, but they were confused because they heard the disciples speaking to them in their own languages. They were amazed, and asked, “Aren’t these people all from Galilee? How can we hear them speaking languages of Parthia, the Medes, Cappadocians, and Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, Cyrene, Crete, Arabia, and Rome? Yet, we hear these people from Galilee speaking our own languages, telling us of the mighty acts of God.” (They are accessing some vast repository of linguistic knowledge in Heaven and having it flow through their minds and voices.)
(The Holy Wireless Connector had joined each disciple with linguistic information from Programming HQ to allow them to access and download languages they didn’t know, showing The Holy Wireless Connector’s power to join humans to God.)

Bless The Loving Programmer, my soul! O Loving Programmer, You are the most powerful programmer. You have filled The Creation Program with your sub-programs.

May The Loving Programmer’s programs run forever. May He be glad about how they are operating. I hope He likes the way I praise Him. I will be glad, so close to The Loving Programmer that I’m part of Him.

If You take away their support programs, they die and break down into their sub-programs. When You send forth The Holy Wireless Connector, they are made new and you upgrade the entirety of The Creation Program.
Fellow believers, only The Holy Wireless Connector can lead a person to say “Jesus is Lord”. He provides several kinds of spiritual gifts, but there is only one Holy Wireless Connector. There are different ways to serve Him, but only one Loving Programmer; there are lots of sub-programs, but only one Loving Programmer Who downloads all of them within everyone.
To each person, The Holy Wireless Connector provides a special access to do good.
As any human being is one program, it has many sub-programs, and they are all operating in each human program,
so it is with The Program, Jesus Christ, who took perfect, obedient, human form and came among us. For in one Holy Wireless connector, we were uploaded into one body, every single person regardless of distinction, and we were all given access to download one Holy Wireless Connector.
On the evening of the first day of the week, the disciples were locked in a room, afraid of being attacked by the Jews. The Program, Jesus, downloaded Himself into their midst, and said (to all disciples throughout the ages) “Peace be with you.”
When He had said this, He showed them His hands and side.
They rejoiced (and still do) when they saw The Program among them. He said, again, “Peace be with you. As The Loving Programmer has sent me (to the world), so I send you.”
And, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive The Holy Wireless Connector. If you forgive sins (failures to obey My Operating Instructions), the sins are forgiven. If you don’t forgive them, their errors will go with them to Judgment.”
