Last Saturday’s column included the posting of a painting portraying an older officer leading a rag-tag army of brave, young Americans into battle. It was especially moving. When catholicfundamentalism.com readers were asked if anyone could identify the painter and his painting, Dan Engler replied that it was painted by Howard Pyle, and is called “The Nation Makers”.
