Lots of commentators wonder why “Big Media” never reports fully on union violence. There is a reason beyond bribes and payoffs. Broadcasters are rightly afraid of having their delicate, vulnerable broadcasting equipment vandalized. One or two snipers with silencers can put them out of business.
For similar reasons, other groups prone to violence rarely have their activities covered. Such groups, that make union activists look like wusses, make lists of easily destroyed facilities. Yesterday, a quickly-fried squirrel in a power line shut off power to an entire city. A well placed bullet would have done the same. A hundred of them could shut down a city.
Such threats get, and keep, a lot of people on their side.
