The Neighbor-hating Vanity of the Public Sectorites

Today, in Wisconsin, a couple of hundred people are sleeping in the Capitol rotunda. They are protesting the “unfairness” of having less than ninety five percent of their benefits and pensions paid by their neighbors.

Their neighbors, up to now, have never minded paying for the public sectorites’ benefits and pensions, even though they knew how much they were. The problem started when the neighbors just plain ran out of jobs and money.

“I can’t pay my mortgage. How can I pay for all those public sectorites’ pensions? How can I pay for their medical benefits? The problem is, I can’t. I don’t have any money.”

So, the Tea Party was born.

After they took over a lot of State Legislatures and Governorships, the public sectorites were mildly worried. But, they didn’t get violently vocal until, all of a sudden, those states began passing laws to stop paying them more than other taxpayers were making.

Now, their arguments boil down to this: “We are in unions. We are better than our neighbors. They have to give us money. They just have to!”

The legislators controlled by the public sectorites know what to do. They move out of state, thus proving that they only way they can keep their constituents wealthy is to stop democracy from working.
