Pharisees and Sadducees show us two kinds of Willful Protestants.

Willful Protestantism continues to be the best reason to "Be Catholic."

Question 1:  “Do Catholic Daily Readings  show us two kinds of Willful Protestants?”

Answer:  “The Daily Reading of April 10, 2024, Acts 5:17-26 tell us that the Sadducees arranged for The First Pope and Catholic Bishops to be jailed for teaching about Jesus.  Today’s Reading, April 12, 2024, tells us the Pharisees had a clearer understanding of God’s Love and Power than the Sadducees:

‘A Pharisee in the Sanhedrin named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, respected by all the people, stood up, ordered the Apostles to be put outside for a short time, and said to the Sanhedrin, ‘Fellow children of Israel, be careful what you are about to do to these men.’

Then, Gamaliel reminded them of others who said they were doing God’s Work:

‘Some time ago, Theudas appeared, claiming to be someone important, and about four hundred men joined him, but he was killed, and all those who were loyal to him were disbanded and came to nothing.  After him came Judas the Galilean at the time of the census.
He also drew people after him, but he too perished and all who were loyal to him were scattered.’

Question 2:  “What lesson did Gamaliel teach about Christ’s First Catholic Pope and Bishops?”

Answer:  “‘So now I tell you, have nothing to do with these men, and let them go.  If this endeavor or this activity is of human origin, it will destroy itself.  But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them;  you may even find yourselves fighting against God.’

Question 3:  “Did the other groups in Jerusalem listen to Gamaliel’s prophecy?”

Answer:  “The most self-righteous Willful Protestants of the time were the Sadducees, all ‘claiming to be important’.  Thirty years after Gamaliel’s prophetic teaching, they declared war on Rome, all other groups of Jewish people, and the early Catholics in Jerusalem.  The Prophecy of Gamaliel about the dangers of ‘fighting against God’ came true when ‘The wrath of God’ fell on Jerusalem and all of Israel.”

Question 4:  “What happened when those Willful Protestants  began ‘fighting against God’?”

Answer:  “First, The Prophecy of Jesus in Mt. 24:2 came true!  ‘Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.’   Jerusalem, the richest city in The Roman Empire, was flattened.  The most beautiful Temple on earth was destroyed.  The first ‘Jewish Wars’ were recorded by the brilliant Jewish historian, Josephus, who soon came to be Catholic.  Three more ‘Jewish Wars’ raged against Rome for sixty years.  The Jewish population dropped from a few million to 150,000 as they destroyed themselves by ‘fighting against God’.”

~

Question 5:  “For 2,000 years, Willful Protestants have spent their lives ‘fighting against God’s’ Church-Creating Word:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’  Do Willful Protestants ever win that ‘fight against God’?”

Answer:  “Today, there are 50,000 denominations of Willful Protestants.  History’s Lesson is clear:  Every Marketing Plan invented by The Profiteers of Protestantism has become a disappearing cloud of confusion as they let vanity drive them, their families, and their nations to continue ‘fighting against God’.”
