Believe, Obey, Ask Jesus to Pray for You.

Those who are blessed with eternal joy know that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Prophets’ predictions.  The saved know that Jesus is, as the Prophets said, the Son of God, and that God loves Him.   Those destined for Heaven believe Him and obey His teachings.  This advice must be given to all:  Believe, obey, ask Jesus to pray for you.”
If we fail to proffer such advice, we may keep a soul from eternal joy.  So, it is important to say, and live, by that advice:  “Believe, obey, ask Jesus to pray for you.”
We see the wisdom of such advice in T0day’s Reading, which is from John, 17:1-11.  The reading quotes Jesus, greatest of all authorities who have ever been on earth.  He is talking to The Father.  Part of it is:”I (Jesus) revealed Your Name to those whom You gave Me out of the world.
They belonged to You, and You gave them to Me,
and they have kept Your word.
Now they know that everything You gave Me is from You,
because the words You gave to Me I have given to them,
and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from You,
and they have believed that You sent me.
I pray for them.
I do not pray for the world but for the ones You have given Me,
because they are Yours, and everything of Mine is Yours
and everything of Yours is Mine,
and I have been glorified in them.
And now I will no longer be in the world,
but they are in the world, while I am coming to You.”

The Loving Programmer will deny nothing to His beloved Son.  It is clear from this passage that His Son is not praying for the salvation of the world, “but for the ones you have given Me.”
It is only sane to try to be among those for whom He is praying.  So, we give the best possible advice:   “Believe, obey, ask Jesus to pray for you.”  If we love someone enough to want them to have eternal joy, we have no better way to attain it than tell them how important it is to believe, obey, ask Jesus to pray for you and seek salvation.
