Today’s “One-minute Reason to be Catholic!” #5.

Catholics learn this Bible Lesson from The First Three Willful Protestants, Adam, Eve, and Cain:  “Disobeying God leads to death and destruction.”

~

Question 1:  “Does The Bible tell us it is our fault if we choose to disobey Any Word of God?”

Answer: “Catholics find the answer this question from God in Today’s Catholic Reading from Genesis 3:9-15:  ‘After the man, Adam, had eaten of the tree, The Lord God called to the man and asked him, ‘Where are you?’

While hiding in the bushes, the man answered, ‘I heard you in the garden;  but I was afraid, because I was naked,  so I hid myself.’

Then, God asked Adam The Important Question only Catholics can answer:  Who told you that you were naked?’

~

Question 2:  “Who did tell Adam that he was ‘naked’?”

Answer:  “Catholics think intelligently enough to know!  Adam’s soul told him he displeased God when he let temptation lead him to ‘eat the forbidden fruit’.”

~

Question 3:  “Does that tell us the fate of every person who willfully ‘protests’ any Word of God?”

Answer:  “Willfully disobedient people are thrown out of God’s Presence the same way Adam and Eve were evicted from The Garden of Eden.  Cain killing Abel shows us that disobedience leads to killing those who do not make us feel good about ourselves.”

~

Question 4:  “How are Catholics blessed to deal with that fact?”

Answer:  “Obeying The Church-Creating Word of God’s Son lets us be among His chosen people on earth:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 5:  “What do Catholics gain by being in The Only Church Spoken Into Being by That Word of God’s Son?”

Answer:  “Read that last sentence of Mt. 16:18-20 again!  He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies tells us what Catholics gain:  ‘I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

Reading and sharing “One-minute Reasons to Be Catholic” helps more souls get those “keys”.
