Many of us are fond of saying, “There are two kinds of people, . . . . . . . . .” and following that with a division that often tends to put us in a favored group and all who disagree in another. We may, in fact, say, “There are two kinds of people, those who say there are two kinds of people and those who don’t.”
But, God says there are two kinds of people. One kind of people is akin to wheat. The other is likened to weeds. And, we hear that one kind of people are like sheep, the other similar to goats. We are also told that one kind of people gets to spend eternity in Heaven. The others are headed for more painful afterlife.
So, let’s assume there are two kinds of people, the saved and the lost. The smartest decision any of us can make is to want to be saved. That decision is a big step. It gets us to a place where we can understande that The Loving Programmer wrote and downloaded The Creation Program. In it, He left Programming Logs, with clues on how to attain what the better class of human programs would see as a goal.
In our age, all are able to access the stories of the prophets. All are able to see how the prophecies from His true prophets came true. A few hundred of the most detailed prophecies concerned the coming of Christ.
Billions of people have read and understood the prophets. As a result, they became, or remained, Christians. “There’s no way this could have been an accident. We see in Scripture that God is the highest reality there is.”
There are two kinds of Christians. One kind believes that Christ’s phrase, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood, you do not have life in you.” is, ultimately, a command to become Catholic. That’s the only way they can partake in total Communion with Him, a ceremony that began at the Last Supper, shortly after Christ said to the first pope, “Thou art Peter and on this rock, I build My Church.”
The other kind of Christian does not take either phrase literally. Catholic Fundamentalists think they’re making a big mistake. It’s not as big a mistake as ignoring all the clues provided by the prophets, but it is a big mistake.
One kind of person has sufficient humility to say “I am going to become a Catholic so that I can eat His Body and drink His Blood at Communion, thereby having life in me, which is what He said to do. I will have my sins forgiven, be in a Church still led by a living link with Peter, and increase my chances of getting into Heaven through the Sacraments.” Those kind of people have demonstrated sufficient faith and humility to put conventional thinking and acting behind them. Then, they are able to squeak through a very narrow door and find the magnificence within.
Once we break through to The Church, we don’t want to leave. That would be neither smart nor prudent. We never want to forget: There are two kinds of people, the saved and the lost. Any of us can go from one group to another as long as there is breath in our body.
