From Job to Jesus: “Happiness comes from obeying God.”

Jesus tells us what is:  “The most important thing we can have on earth”.

Question 1:  “What did the preceding five Daily Catholic Readings about Job tell us?”

Answer:  “Happy people believe in God.  The happiest people obey Him.”

~

Question 2:  “How does obedience bring happiness?”

Answer:  “Job 42:1-6 tells us happy people ‘disown’ their personal opinions and ‘repent’ for every disbelief and disobedience to Every Word of God.”

~

Question 3:  “Does Today’s Reading from Psalm 119 teach us to say ‘Lord, let your face shine on me.’ by asking for ‘His wisdom, knowledge, obedience to His commands, using our afflictions to reach Him,’ see that ‘His Ordinances are Just, obey them, stand firm, know His decrees,’ and be ‘simple’ enough to have ‘understanding’?

Answer:  “Job and the Psalms connect directly to Mt. 11:25:  ‘Blessed are You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of The Kingdom.’

~

Question 4:  “Does Jesus give us a ‘better way’ to find happiness?”

Answer:  “Luke 10:17-24 explains that the 72 who obeyed His direction to announce His coming to the ‘towns and places He would visit’ had ‘returned to Him, rejoicing’ because ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of Your Name.’!”

~

Question 5:  “Did Jesus tell us there was something more ‘important’ than ‘treading upon serpents and scorpions and the full force of the enemy without being harmed’?”

Answer:  “He told every obedient Catholic the most important thing we can do on earth:  ‘Rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.’!”

~

Question 6: “What helps us have ‘our name written in Heaven’?”

Answer:  “Being Catholic lets us get  ‘the ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ from The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Jesus Ordered The First Catholic Pope and his Successors to govern on earth:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

May all be blessed to use our time on earth to go to God’s Judgment and find “our name written in Heaven”.

Forever.
