Question 1:  ” Why are Catholic priests and religious more blessed?”

Answer:  “Holy Vows of poverty, celibacy, and obedience let them live according to The Teaching of 1 John 12-17:  ‘children, fathers, young men’ and all who listen to God:  ‘Do not love the world or the things of the world.’

~

Question 2:  “What harm does ‘loving the world or the things of the world’ do?

Answer:  “It keeps souls from God!  ‘If anyone loves the world, the love of The Father is not in him.’

~

Question 3:  “Does John warn us that one worldly thing takes three forms in an ‘unholy trinity’ and leads many to lose ‘The Father’s love’?

Answer:  “The ‘Most Beloved Disciple’ tells us one worldly thing takes three forms ‘in the world’, an unholy trinity that keeps many from ‘The Father’s Love’:

‘For all that is in the world’  is the one aspect of Creation John tells us to recognize.  Then, he tells us to avoid the three forms it takes:  ‘sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life’.   The ‘triple evil’ of that ‘unholy trinity’ is ‘not from The Father, but is from the world.’

~

Question 4:  “Are all Ten Commandments one ‘sin’ whose three forms Catholics must avoid:  ‘sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life’?”

Answer:  “St. John is clear about the ‘unholy trinity’‘Yet the world and its enticement are passing away.’

~

Question 5:  “Does the last passage in Today’s Reading,  ‘But, whoever does the will of God remains forever.’  mean that the souls of disobedient people do not ‘remain forever’?

Answer:  “The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope is clear about The Perfect Truth of Catholic Teaching:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

The Catholic Church tells us that all souls live forever.  We determine if our soul will spend eternity in Eternal Joy or endless agony.

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Do God’s Will and live forever / Be worldly and in Heaven never.”
