Question 1:  “Is Melchizedek God’s first Catholic priest?”

Answer:  “Heb. 7:1-3 & 15-17:  ‘Melchizedek, King of Salem and priest of God Most High met Abraham as he returned from his defeat of the kings and blessed him  And, Abraham apportioned to him a tenth of everything.  His name means ‘Righteous King’, and he was also ‘King of Salem’, which means ‘peace’.

Question 2:  “Where did Melchizedek come from?”

Answer:  “‘Without father, mother, or ancestry, without beginning of days or end of life, thus was made to resemble The Son of God, he remains a priest forever.’  Melchizedek was “A Personification of God on earth” long before the first rabbis were even conceived.”

~

Question 3:  “Is every Catholic priest Ordained in The Order of Melchizedek?”

Answer:  “‘It is even more obvious if another priest is raised up after the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become so, not by a law expressed in a commandment concerning physical descent but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.  For it is testified:  You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.'”

Question 4:  “Do Psalms support that Catholic Teaching?”

Answer:  Psalm 100:1-4 is clear:  1. ‘The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand till I make your enemies your footstool.’  2. ‘The scepter of your power, The Lord will stretch forth from Zion:  ‘Rule in the midst of your enemies.’  3. ‘Yours is princely power in the day of your birth, in holy splendor;  before the daystar like the dew, I have begotten you.’  4. ‘The Lord has sworn, and He will not repent:  ‘You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.’

Question 5:  “Does Today’s Gospel have God dealing with pseudo-holy people who served themselves instead of Him?”

Answer:  “Mark 3:1-6 exposes those who love themselves and their positions more than God:  ‘Jesus entered the synagogue.  There was a man there who had a withered hand.  They (the Pharisees) watched Jesus closely to see if He would cure him on The Sabbath so they might accuse Him (of ‘working on the day of rest’).'”

~

Question 6:  “What did Jesus do?”

Answer:  “He identifies all the ‘Pharisees’ who worship their opinions more than they love God and their neighbors in every age!  ‘He said to the man with the withered hand,Come up here before us.’  Then, He asked the pseudo-holy Pharisees the income-threatening question they  hate forever! ‘Is it lawful to do good on The Sabbath, to save life rather than destroy it?’

~

Question 7:  “How did the Pharisees answer?”

Answer:  “They did what pseudo-holy people often do when confronted with The Truth of their corrupt nature!  ‘But they remained silent.’

~

Question 8:  “What did Jesus, The Perfect Personification of Melchezidek, do?”

Answer:  “For one of the few times in His Life on Earth, The Second Person of The Holy Trinity was ‘angry’ at these disgustingly self-serving ‘hard-hearted’ people!  ‘Looking at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, Jesus said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’  He stretched it out and his hand was restored.’

~

Question 9:  “What did the Pharisees do when their self-serving nature was made clear to everyone?”

Answer:  “‘The Pharisees went out and immediately took council  with the Herodians (plotted with the state!) against Him to put Him to death.’

Catholics see Four Truths in that Passage that many miss!

1. Since the Pharisees ‘immediately’ knew those with whom they should ‘take council’, they had previously worked with them to be in obedience to The State.

2.  They chose to live in willful disobedience to The First Commandment while pretending to obey, ‘Thou shall have no other gods before Me.’

3. Those ‘Pharisees’ proudly manifested the most soul-condemning form of pseudo-holy clergy in every age.

4.  Since Jesus is ‘the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow’ (Heb 13:8), pseudo-holy people bring the ‘anger’ of God upon their immortal souls at Judgment.”
