Question 1:  “Does Jesus show His Love for people who are not Catholic?”

Answer:  Today’s Reading from Mark 7:24-30 describes a Protestant woman with a very confused background.   ‘Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him.  She came and fell at his feet.  The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she begged Him to drive the demon out of her daughter.'”

~

Question 2:  “Why was the woman ‘confused’?”

Answer:  “Her ancestors were Greek.  Alexander’s victories let them come to Tyre in the preceding 300 years.  One of her parents was Syrian, the other was Phoenician. Gods and goddesses in her background included Zeus, Baal, Astarte, and dozens more.  In all that confusion, God let her understand that only Jesus could help ‘and she begged Him to drive the demon out of her daughter.’

Question 3:  “What did Jesus do?”

Answer:  “He gave her a test!  ‘He said to her, ‘Let the children be fed first.  For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.’

Question 4:  “Did the woman pass ‘The Test of Jesus’?”

Answer:  “She was able to put herself among the many Protestants who respected Jesus and expected His help.  ‘She replied and said to Him, ‘Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.’

Question 5:  “Are Protestants able to get help from Jesus despite rejecting The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’“?

Answer:  “If Jesus will help a woman with a genetic and religious background as totally confused as the woman in this Passage, every Protestant woman can expect help from Jesus after recognizing that His first duty is to Catholics.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Jesus came to help Protestants, too. / There is one thing they have to do: / Admit His Church  / came first.”
