Most Who Say “I Just Want to Help” Love Lies and Hate Life.

We have more people helping us than we need. The largest group of “helpers” appear to be environmental. Some want cleaner water. Others, cleaner air. Some focus on cleaner earth, an endeavor made more difficult, if not impossible, by the realization that the earth is covered deeply with layers and layers of dirt. That understanding does not impede, but seems to propel them forward even faster as the enormity of their task becomes as pressing as it is obvious.

Some want to “help” with housing. They mandate ever-stricter building codes that now include residential fire sprinklers. As a result of all that “help”, no more houses are being built. “See, we are helping make the world a better place.”, they say, understanding that population will drop as housing becomes more expensive.

Air conditioning, along with commercial and industrial cooling, costs more than ever. Few “helpers” are concerned about costs. “The world is a better place, now.”

Medical helpers want things to be “fairer”. Everyone should have “equal access”, no matter how many die because their idea of “equal access” is less medical care for all. “It’s fair!”, they plaintively whine.

Similar cries are heard from public educators. Their attempts to pretend that blocs of students who have IQs of 80 are “just as smart” as those with IQs of 120 are bankrupting nations because “It’s fair. It’s only fair!” They would rather lie than tell the truth, rather spend than save.

We see that people who are obsessed with “fairness” are afflicted with a mental disorder that reappears through the ages. “Levelers” in the Middle Ages wanted fairness. Later, the French revolutionaries wanted “fairness” so badly they were willing to kill for it. The Soviets wanted it, even more. And, the Cubans. Leftists today claim they want “fairness”, too. When we look through history for examples of such “fairness” that actually made things better for people, we simply do not see them. It is a myth, a chimera, a very bad dream. Even those who channel their desire to “make things better and fairer” into religious organizations fail. The many and varied Shaker-type communes in America didn’t work any better than Israeli kibbutzes. Monastic organizations based on strict hierarchies, in contrast, seem to survive through periods of famine, plenty, war, and peace.

“Helping” is always based on two moral and intellectual lies. The first, and most widely believed lie, is that “helpers are trying to make things better”. Secondly, the desire to “help”, no matter how obsessive, is invariably accompanied by the thought: “Better means fairer and fairer means equal.” When we hear anyone talking about such things, we are either dealing with a deluded person or the even sicker people who want to spread delusions.

When we think of “helper” personalities, we must remember Pol Pot. Within most of our lifetimes, that evil man killed nearly a third of his countrymen when his insane desire to “help” had no saner people to fight it. He surrounded himself with others who wanted to “help”. So did Jim Jones, before he wiped out 90% of those who lived in his tiny nation-state.

Those with similar desires to “help” never blame the Pol Pots, Jim Joneses, Stalins, etc. for the evil they did. “Pol Pot, Jim Jones, and Stalin may have been slightly misguided. Still, we mustn’t judge them too harshly. At the end of the day, they were only trying “help their fellow humans.”

Those in the Culture of Death and Lies can never criticize anyone in favor of other kinds of death and other kinds of lies. So, their “help” always involves lies that lead to death.
