It used to be widely believed that the American Civil Liberties Union existed to protect liberal interests in America. They would periodically defend the KKK and neo-Nazi marches, but those were thought to be mere window dressing.
Now, however, the ACLU is vigorously defending the building of a mosque where Moslem terrorists killed 3,000 people in New York City. One may reasonably conclude that there has been a sudden surge of donations from Middle Eastern interests.
Their tactics are the same, exalting the theory of American freedom over the fact that there are those who are using the ACLU to give them the freedom to destroy the country for which the “A” in its name stands.
