Today’s Reading tells us of Two Kinds of People! Are there Three?

Today's Post ends with The Hardest Question on Earth.

Today’s Reading lets us learn about The Two Kinds of People.  Colossians 3:1-11 describes what St. Paul said to early Catholics: “Brothers and sisters:  If you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at The Right Hand of God.  Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.”

Catholics obey That Command from St. Paul:  “Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.”  We are described:  “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, your life appears, then you will appear with Him in glory.”

Catholics strive to:  “Put to death then, the parts of you that are earthly:  immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.  Because of these, the wrath of God is coming upon the disobedient.”

Catholics know how blessed we are!  “By these, you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.”

We became, or stayed Catholic, when we understood:  “But now, you must put them all away:  anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.  Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed for knowledge, in the image of its Creator.”

Obeying The Church-Creating Decree of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope has saved us:  “And I say unto you, thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”  Those “keys” include The Seven Catholic Sacraments, which Jesus died to leave for those who would be obedient enough to receive them.

The Other Kind of People love the things of God’s Creation more than He Who Began to Create them over 13 trillion light-years ago, when He said, “Let there be light, and there was light.”

Today’s Post ends with the Hardest Question on Earth:  “Many claim to be ‘Christian’ while specifically rejecting The Catholic Church.  Are there three kinds of people on earth?”

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Catholics have God’s Grace. / That lets our souls be safe.”
