St. Paul became Catholic. May all be similarly saved!

May we all ask God to let us "see the light" that made St. Paul a Catholic!

Today’s Reading begins with St. Paul’s First Letter to Timothy 1:1-2.  The Bible tells us he “obeyed God’s command” and became Catholic:  “Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our savior and of Christ Jesus our hope, to Timothy, my true child in faith:”

Catholics realize!  “St. Paul is writing to meWe, like Timothy, are also “true children in faith” because we obey The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope!  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”!

We know Paul began as an anti-Catholic!  He arrested Catholics and put them in jail.  Then he “saw the light”, spoke extensively with The First Pope, and was Ordained to bring people to The Church in parishes and Dioceses where he preached.

Paul’s thankfulness to Jesus is in Verses 1-14:  “I am grateful to Him Who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He considered me trustworthy in appointing me to the ministry.”  May all be blessed to Be Catholic and among those who are “worthy of God’s trust”.

Then, St. Paul describes himself and every confused Protestant for the past 2,000 years:   “I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and an arrogant man, but I have been mercifully treated because I acted out of ignorance in my unbelief.”

Those who ignore The Church-Creating Word of Jesus cannot be among those who say in Psalm 16, “You are my inheritance, O Lord.”

Today’s “Alleluia” confirms the fact and request that God’s people make:  “Your Word, O Lord, Is Truth;  consecrate us in The Truth.”

In Today’s Gospel, Luke 6:39-42, Jesus asks Two Direct Questions to those who think they know more than He does:  “(1.) Can a blind person guide a blind person?  (2.) Will not both fall into a pit?”

Then, He Who Fulfilled over 300 Prophecies about His Coming asks every Protestant Two Questions:  “(1.) Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but (2.) do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?”

Then, Jesus specifically describes every Protestant in One Word and tells them to Be Catholic!  “You hypocrite!  First, remove the wooden beam from your eye; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Anyone can see and say / God’s Words that Catholics obey!”
