God’s Prophets have led “the children of light” to Be Catholic for 2,000 years!
Amos was a shepherd, woodworker, and Prophet from southern Judah. Around 760 BC, God chose him to warn “the children of the darkness” in Amos 8:4-7 that God would “never forget” how they hurt their neighbors:
“Hear this, you who trample upon the needy and destroy the poor of the land! ‘When will the new moon be over,’ you ask, ‘that we may sell our grain, and the sabbath, that we may display the wheat? We will diminish the bushel and add to the shekel.” Catholics know that nations led by those who sell less for more cause the inflation that destroys families and nations.
Amos describes the goal of “the children of darkness”! “‘We will buy the lowly for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals; even the chaff of the wheat we will (grind into flour and) and sell!'”
Amos tells us their Judgment is coming! “The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob: ‘Never will I forget a thing they have done!'” The “children of light” see the trapdoor that opens beneath them on God’s Judgment Day when we Psalm 113:1-8, “Praise The LORD Who lifts up the poor.”
Today’s Gospel from He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies validates Amos and the Psalms. Luke 16:1-13 teaches: “For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light.”
Jesus is clear. One “generation” chooses to live in darkness. Those blessed to become “the children of light” have had our “DNA Upgraded” by following The Church-Creating Word of He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies to His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The “children of light” are then promised “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” by He Who turned God’s Words to His Prophets into His Living Form!
Does any Prophet give us a better reason to Be Catholic than Amos?
