Today’s Reading cures “Confusion Headaches” that keep many from thinking clearly. #15.

St. Paul reminds us: The Prophets proved they were blessed by God when they predicted He Who would "stretch out His hands" for us!

Chapters 10 and 11 of The Book of Romans give reasons for all believers to consider “Being Catholic”.

10:17 “So faith comes from what is preached, and what is preached comes from the Word of Christ.” (That is why Catholics respect The Church-Creating “Word of Christ” from He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies!  “Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

10:18 “Let me put the question: is it possible that Israel did not hear (the Prophets)? Indeed they did; in the words of the Psalm, their voice has gone out through all the earth, and their message to the ends of the world.”  (May all be blessed to learn from Isaiah 53:55 and obey God’s Church-Creating Word“in deed”!)

10:19 asks a second question:  “Is it possible that Israel did not understand? Moses answered this long ago: ‘I will make you jealous of people who are not even a nation; I will make you angry with an irreligious people.’ (Deuteronomy 32:21)”  That Prophecy certainly predicted the negative thoughts of many toward The Catholic Church!

10:20 “Isaiah (65:1-2) said more clearly: “I have been found by those who did not seek Me, and have revealed Myself to those who did not consult Me:(That describes those blessed to have become Catholic for the past 2,000 years!)

10:21 and referring to every sort of those who deny Him, He goes on with This Specific Prophecy of Christ’s Crucifixion: ‘Each day I stretched out My hand to a disobedient and rebellious people.’ (No one “stretched out his hands” more than Jesus on the cross, He to Whom this prophetic verse from Isaiah 65:2 refers!)

That leads to Today’s Reading from Romans 11:32, which includes “For God delivered all to disobedience that He might have mercy on all.”!

Today’s Psalm describes the suffering of those with “Confusion Headaches” that come from ignoring the Prophecies and Words of He Whom they Predicted:  “But I am afflicted and in pain;  let Your saving help, O God, protect me.”

What does this Prophecy from Psalms 36 and 37 mean? “For God will rescue Zion, and rebuild the cities of Judah (Is. 44:26, Ez 36:10).  They will dwell there and possess it;  the descendants of God’s servants will inherit it;  those who love God’s name will dwell in it. (Ps. 102:69, Is.65:12).

Catholics understand:  At the end, those who are both in “Zion” and are “rescued” will live in “rebuilt cities of Judah” Catholics are blessed to realize:  Those “rebuilt cities” may be in God’s Kingdom of Heaven, and we are blessed to have the “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” which include the Seven Catholic Sacraments!
