The Book of John
Prologue:
The most important “Foreword” in History is the Prologue that begins The Book of John. Far lesser “prologues” began important works of ancient Greeks, Romans, and others. This Prologue begins when John introduced The Holy Trinity to The First Catholics. They were blessed to follow Jesus:
1:1 In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (The Trinity is introduced and defined. Our Age of Computers and cell phones lets even those who are not Catholic easily see God the Father as “The Loving Programmer”. We see “The Word” is “The Creation Program”. The vast complexity of The Creation Program took Human Form on earth in He Who was the Living Fulfillment of all The Messianic Prophecies that preceded His Coming and gave everyone the opportunity to see God’s Reasons to Be Catholic.
The verb “was” takes form as “The Downloading Verb of God”, The Holy Spirit. Catholics now see Him as “The Downloading Verb” by Whom The Creation Program “was” and “is” “Downloaded” into being. That Download of The Creation Program let each of God’s Beloved Replicating Human Programs choose their degree of belief in, respect for, and obedience to The Three in One.
The most “beloved Disciple” among the First Catholic Bishops has introduced the world to The Holy Trinity by writing the “Prologue” that now gives computer-users access to understanding The Programmer, Program, and Downloader more easily than ever.)
1:2 He was with God in the beginning. (The “beginning” began over 13 trillion light-years ago when things that would change were Downloaded and became The Creation Program. That “Download” allowed “time” to begin. The Holy Trinity, One God in Three Persons, existed before “time” began when things that moved in time and space were Downloaded.)
1:3 Through Him all things came to be, not one thing had its being but through Him. (Again, every element of The Creation Program was Written by The Loving Programmer. Then, The Creation Program was Downloaded by The Holy Spirit Whom we may understand as “The Downloading Verb of God”.)
1:4 All that came to be had life in Him and that life was the light of men, (The entire Creation Program, including billions of galaxies now made visible by powerful telescopes, was to give “light” to men so that every person in every age could see the greatness of God by seeing parts of His Creation Program. We are His Beloved Replicating Free-Will Programs. Each of us was Programmed to Download parts of The Creation Program. In every age, all may be blessed to realize that Creation could not have come into Being without a “Creator” Who is described as:
1:5 a light that shines in the dark, a light that darkness could not overpower. (No Created Being can hide the “light” of The Loving Programmer’s Creation Program. The more powerful our microscopes and telescopes become, the more of His Creation Program we can see. The “darkness” is a living force, since it attempts to “darken” but “could not overpower” the light of The Creation Program. It strives to keep every mind “darkened” so that those who let themselves be blinded cannot see The Light of God.)
1:6 A man came, sent by God. His name was John. (After The Creation Program had running for over 13 trillion light-years, one Human Program was “sent” by The Loving Programmer to introduce people on earth to what St. Augustine would describe as “The Sixth and Final Age”.)
St. John’s Prologue has moved forward over 13 trillion light-years from the original Downloads. We see that one “man” was programmed and downloaded to tell the world about The Creation Program before it would be erased. The souls of those blessed to be among “You are My friends if you obey My commands. (John 20:23)” would have their immortal spend eternity in the joys of Heaven.
1:7 He came as a witness, as a witness to speak for the light, so that everyone might believe through him. (John, about six months older than Jesus, was Programmed to announce that Jesus, The Son of God, was about to be Downloaded in Human Form. Then, “everyone might believe”. Some of those who used their Free Will to choose to “believe” in Him could bless their souls far more by turning that “belief” into “obedience”.
The most obedient people on earth live by understanding that He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies would Speak One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being with His Church-Creating Word: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
The Church He Spoke Into Being would let the following centuries know that The Word of God would take Human Form on earth so that the souls of those who returned The Loving Programmer’s Love with “obedience” could have their immortal souls be forever with Him in Heaven. Catholics realize some God’s Miracle was keeping the forces of “Darkness” from destroying The Catholic Church, no matter how hard they tried in the last 2,000 years!
1:8 He was not the light, only a witness to speak for the light.
1:9 The Word was the true light that enlightens all men; and He was coming into the world. (“The Word of God” is the vast complexity of The Creation Program Who would take Perfect Human Form. In order to fulfill hundreds of Prophecies that had been downloaded to God’s earlier Prophets, He would be born of a Virgin of the House of David (Isaiah 7:14) in the tiny village of Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2)
1:10 He was in the world that had its being through Him, and the world did not know Him. (Worldly people could not “know” that The Word of God in Human Form could be greater than their beliefs about themselves. The varying degrees of types of Protestantism were thereby “Downloaded”.)
1:11 He came to His own domain and His own people did not accept Him. (Only His most blessed people would move into the “Papal Domain” that Jesus gave His life to leave on earth by saying to His First Catholic Pope the Words to which all Catholics continually refer! “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”)
1:12 But to all who did accept Him, He gave power to become children of God, to all who believe in the name of Him (To be a “child of God”, our human DNA has to be “Upgraded”! There are “Seven DNA Upgrades” provided by The Seven Sacraments provided by His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church: Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Catholic Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and Holy Orders that take human form in His Catholic priests who are Ordained with the Power to provide them. Those “DNA Upgrades” are among “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that let those who are blessed with them to become “children of God”.
We must explore the simple fact! “Children of God” must be those who “upgrade their DNA” by obeying “Words of God”. His Prophets became “Children of God” and so did all whom they led to “Follow” God. In the tens of thousands of years before the time of Melchizedek, Words of God were passed on with oral traditions in all the millennia before God used Melchizedek to show people how to write so that His Words of His more permanently available.
Catholics realize that God’s “most complete DNA Upgrades” were given to Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and John the Baptist, referred to by St. John in this “Prologue” that gives us the understanding we need to become “Children of God.” Catholics know that our beloved Saints, priests, and religious have also had remarkably profound “DNA Upgrades”. We are grateful to be led and inspired by them to be, and remain, Children of God in His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
Catholics look at a crude portrayal of a DNA molecule, and realize that the “Catholic Upgrade” may be no more than a few electrons being changed from – minus to + plus by receiving The Catholic Sacraments.
1:13 who was born not out of human stock or urge of the flesh or will of man but of God himself. (The Word of God took Human Form to provide “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” for all who would become “children of God” by “The DNA Upgrades” that come from Being Catholic.)
1:14 The Word (of God!) was made flesh, He lived among us, and we saw His glory, the glory that is His as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. (That “glory” began to be made evident by His Fulfillment of Prophecies that predicted the time and place of His Coming and what He would do in His days on earth.)
1:15 John appears as God’s witness. He proclaims: ‘This is the one of whom I said: He who comes after me ranks before me because he existed before me’. (John, the last of God’s Prophets before Jesus, affirmed His Messianic Being by beginning This Prologue by saying “The Word was with God and The Word was God”.)
1:16 Indeed, from His fulness we have, all of us, received – yes, grace in return for grace, (We are being told that our “grace” is “returned” in proportion to the degree of “DNA Upgrades” that we choose to let our Faith and Obedience to Catholic Teaching provide. We may picture God’s Holiest People as having “The DNA Upgrades” that let them be closer to Him forever in Heaven.
St. Faustina lets us know that we Catholics are blessed to “receive” the life-giving food that is The Body and Blood of Christ by The Miracle of Transubstantiation every time we “receive” That Holy Food provided at every Catholic Mass since The Last Supper.
“The Diary of St. Faustina, #1124 from May 1, 1937, is a great blessing to our understanding of her blessed thoughts making us more worthy of Catholic Communion: “Today I felt the nearness of my Mother – my Heavenly Mother. Although before every Holy Communion I earnestly ask my Heavenly Mother to help me prepare my soul for the coming of Her Son, and I clearly feel Her protection over me. I entreat Her to be so gracious as to enkindle in me the fire of God’s love, such as burned in Her own pure heart at the time of the Incarnation of The Word of God.”
1:17 since, though the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth have come through Jesus Christ. (Catholics read that and see how blessed we are to realize that “Grace and Truth” are more important than “The Law”! “Grace and Truth” let us receive His Body and Blood by the Miracle of Transubstantiation in Catholic Communion. That Holy Food lets us have our “DNA Upgraded” every time we obey The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 12 times in the last half of John 6 and two more times at The Last Supper: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
1:18 No one has ever seen God; it is the only Son, Who is nearest to the Father’s heart, who has made Him known. (Catholics are blessed to have seen more of what is in “The Prologue” than any other people on earth! Seeing some of what is in “The Prologue” for ourselves, and seeing how those “Holy Words” become The Body and Blood of Jesus that lets us “Be As Catholic As We Can” gives us the eternal life that is the joy of Being Catholic!)
About the Author
The developer of catholicfundamentalism.com was raised “Somewhat Presbyterian.” He was blessed to attend St. Bede’s School and Monastery in Peru, Illinois, where his final year of high school was combined with his first year of college. There, he discovered the writings of G. K. Chesterton, St. Thomas Aquinas, and many Catholic teachings—while stubbornly remaining “Somewhat Presbyterian.”
After college, he completed military service in the United States and South Vietnam, including graduation from Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning. Following his discharge, he pursued graduate studies in Library and Information Science and became an inner-city Children’s Librarian. During this period, he re-learned the Fairy Tales and came to see the truths embedded within them.
He later inherited ten thousand dollars from his grandfather and left a tenured librarian position to pursue invention and manufacturing. He invented a new kind of suction cup, had a small injection mold made, and spent four years selling the product to small retail stores throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Ohio.
During those years, he drove tens of thousands of miles from town to town while listening to radio stations that featured a different Protestant speaker every fifteen minutes. After four years of what he later called a “post-graduate study of Protestantism,” he reached a clear conclusion: these were sincere and concerned people endlessly arguing with one another, each promoting a different religious marketing plan.
At a dinner, he met a Catholic priest and unexpectedly found himself saying, “Father, I have to be Catholic.” With the patient guidance of Fr. Ernest Strzelenski, he resolved his Protestant confusion and entered the Catholic Church. In doing so, he stopped living in contradiction to what he came to understand as the only Church-creating words spoken by Jesus Christ:
“And I say unto you, thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church… I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.”
After becoming Catholic, he was able to focus clearly on inventing, designing, manufacturing, packaging, and selling housewares products worldwide. Over the next 25 years, the anonymous inventor and more than 200 associates grew the business from a two-door car operation into over 20 acres of factory and warehouse facilities running 24/7/365, producing products sold globally and protected by more than 200 patents.
He served three terms on his local School Board, helping to achieve the lowest property taxes in his county. After being replaced by the usual people and groups, and learning that “taxes test souls,” he turned his attention to clearly explaining “simple reasons to be Catholic.”
A Catholic priest once assured him it was acceptable to operate on Christmas Day because employees were paid double time and a half—allowing Catholic workers to earn the cost of Christmas gifts in one shift and still attend Mass.
The anonymous inventor may be the world’s only Catholic evangelist with over 200 patents. He now shares “sometimes new and always simple reasons to Be Catholic” through over 7,000 daily posts on catholicfundamentalism.com, offered freely and anonymously in obedience to Scripture’s advice to be self-effacing.
