A revolving door lets people come and go.

Often, people enter The Church. At the same time, many leave. Our relationship with The Church is the most important thing we have. A lack of same is the most important thing we don’t have. In the final analysis, our relationship with The Church determines the final placement of our soul.

If we are hostile to The Church, it’s very hard for our souls to be saved, except for those very few unhappy people for whom the phrase “intransigent ignorance” applies. On reflection, we continually return to “Pascal’s Wager”.

“What’s the safest bet for me to make?” Obviously, it’s the bet with the greatest reward and the least amount of risk.

It’s a far safer bet to decide to go in the door than out of it.
