A fairy tale that could come true.

Once upon a time, there was a Wonderful Invention. It provided power to everyone who had access to it. It was clean, quiet, reliable, and very inexpensive. It ran electric lights and electric motors while it heated homes, offices, factories, and schools.

The Wonderful Invention let people cut their power bills to practically nothing. Rather than spending a dollar a mile to drive and maintain their cars, people only spent a nickel. Rather than spending five hundred dollars a month to provide electricity and heat for their homes, people spent less than a hundred dollars.

Everywhere the Wonderful Invention was used, people’s lives were better. Debts were paid off, vacations were taken, medical treatment was affordable, and everyone was happy.

But, there were a horde of angry, bitter grinches who did not want people to be prosperous. So, they kept more nuclear reactors from being built. It was as if the Wonderful Invention never was.
