The idol, “Less for you “, has an evil twin, “More for me “.

Those who are pro-life and pro-prosperity want everyone to have more of everything. Those on the other side want fewer lives and less for those who are living.

Their continual cry for “Less” rarely extends to their own means of housing, transportation, salaries, and benefits. At the same time they’re saying “Less for you.”, they are saying, “There must be More for me and those like me.” One is reminded of the old “Tea for Two” ditty with new words.

“Less for you,
And More for me.
And that’s the way it ought to be.”

So, their idol has an obvious flaw, hypocrisy. It does little good to point this out to them. They already know. History tells us that as they get more, others will rise to take it away from them. While this process continues, the best thing for us to do is avoid that two-faced, soul-destroying hypocrisy. In a way, it is the perpetual Mark of the Beast.

It’s far better to live our lives as close to God and His Commandments as we can.
