Definitions help or hinder our journey to truth.

Everyone looks for universal truths. Here’s today’s: All the problems in the world are caused by inadequate definitions of God.

Catholic Fundamentalists go through life with fewer problems because they define God in such a way that they see their place in His Plan. Their definition: God is The Unprogrammed Programmer.

It is a basic tenet of Catholic Fundamentalism that God can program in three dimensions. He can program particles. Better yet, He can program beings that can program particles. The nine orders of Angels are actually sub-programmers who compiled and put into motion all the processes necessary for the universe to run.

It’s pretty obvious that “The Unprogrammed Programmer” is the same as Aquinas’s “Unmoved Mover”, updated for our time.

Those who value their vanity have a negative response to finding out that their lives are something like a character in a very realistic cartoon. Pride keeps them from seeing that God has that much power.

Catholic Fundamentalism reduces each of us to minor characters in a pre-programmed universe that’s several steps ahead of a computer-generated movie. The difference between us and movie characters is that we have free will, (which comes from the Catholic part of Catholic Fundamentalism) and can decide whether or not to love or hate our neighbor.

When we understand that neighbors who do bad things do so because they are incapable of recognizing a higher moral authority, we see how important it is to be sure they understand God’s best definition: The Unprogrammed Programmer Who programs in three dimensions.
