Desire For Praise is Babylon’s biggest idol

Humble Catholics praise God and those who do His will. The vain 10437422_10207028871492710_2220361188471264764_n.jpg lost souls.

Desire For Praise is Babylon’s biggest idol. Adam and Eve wanted to be praised as gods. Cain’s driving Desire For Praise drove him to kill one more worthy of it so there would be more for him.

Desire For Praise is the urge to be worshiped. Praise is Babylon’s unholy communion. Before their successive pyramids of lies collapse, Babylon’s high priests trade praise for souls, hate for love, lies for truth, and death for life.

What is “Praise” that it shows The Desire For Praise is Babylon’s biggest idol? As a verb, “praise” is used to “express warm approval or admiration of”. The synonyms of “praise” as a verb include: “commend, express admiration for, applaud, pay tribute to, speak highly of, eulogize, compliment, congratulate, sing the praises of, rave about, go into raptures about, heap praise on, wax lyrical about, make much of, pat on the back, take one’s hat off to, lionize, admire, approve, hail, ballyhoo. laud, worship, glorify, honor, exalt, adore, pay tribute to, give thanks to, venerate, revere.” Who among us does not have a hard time resisting that?

Praise is also a noun: “The expression of approval or admiration for someone or something”. Synonyms include: approval, acclaim, admiration, approbation, acclamation, plaudits, congratulations, commendation; tribute, accolade, compliment, a pat on the back, eulogy, panegyric; as in: “Your praise means a great deal to us.” See how tempting The Desire For Praise is? Do we see how much we all like to be approved and admired?

Whether noun or verb, Desire For Praise leads many down the broad path to destruction. In every age and endeavor, Desire For Praise prompts many to read the book, watch the play, and see the movie. Babylon praises, and rewards, those who seek oneness with every idol it erects, from the self-serving lunacies of Imaginary Problems like Climate Change to the greater evil of sacrificing inconvenient babies on the Altar of Convenience.

In every age, God gathers a people to Himself so that a perfect offering can be made. That includes fighting, in our own lives, against Desire For Praise.

It is our deadliest battle. As we fight, we know that the two kinds of time, our own and The Creation Program’s, are running out. As we strive to preserve our own soul from being devoured and destroyed by Desire For Praise, we find guidance in Rev. 22:11, “Meanwhile let the sinner go on sinning, and the unclean continue to be unclean; let those who do good go on doing good and those who are holy continue to be holy.”
